The Lodge certainly has a WOW factor as soon as you walk in - the view from ver the Canyon is stunning.
The food was excellent. Of such a high standard especially bearing in mind their location. 5 star quality
It was disappointing that the Wellbeing room was closed due to the massage therapist being on leave and the Lodge did not inform us beforehand

Superb location with views of the canyon. Loved our stay and wished we could if stayed another night. The hot water bottle was a perfect touch to the very cold night.
Nothing really

Outstanding lodge in unique setting with to die for views. Meals were the best we experienced in any lodge during our stay in Namibia.
Considering the remoteness and what is being offered here, it would be churlish to offer any criticism

The location is top!
We booked a trip with the hotel with a guide called William who was extremely professional throughout the whole day. Explaining everything to the detail and prepared us a lovely lunch!
Also, the housekeeping staff were very kind to place two hot water bottles to place them in the bed at night! Very lovely touch!
During breakfast time the staff wouldnt top up with the missing food from the buffet. I dont think it is acceptable for what you pay not to be able to replenish food, specially when you are close to the beginning time of breakfast!

The view is absolutely stunning. Houses and main area are tastefully designed in style of the canyon.
Facilities not built for the winter. No heating in the individual houses. Main area (living space) is heated by two fireplaces which did not provide sufficiently warmth but generated a lot of smoke. Offer of activities is limited (either a boring sundown drive or a very active hike of 6+ hours) and prices are steep.

Beautiful location right at the canyon rim, great view from the terrace, nice pool, cozy little room, comfortable large kingsize bed, two showers (inside and outside), option to sleep outside, delicious food in the restaurant, very friendly and helpful staff, very good massage (by Sana), good breakfast!
No WiFi in the rooms, no fridge in the room, no air conditioning in the room, sunset on the "wrong" side...

The design is beautiful, with light filled chalets and the possibility to shower and sleep outside in comfort as well as inside. Helpful staff in a unique location.

beautiful view from both receptions and from the rooms as well. very nice staff. you can rent a bike and go around the canyon what i liked very much.
well this is the think the hotel cant fix, but if I should say one thing it was very windy and in the rooms the wind was very loud, the doors was making noise even if they were locked, but at least you have the things you put in your ears in the rooms so that helped a little.

Stupendous views from the individual chalets. Room was modern and very comfortable. Food was of a high standard considering the remoteness of the location.

We experienced a super warm welcome and the staff was super friendly throughout our stay. The room and the view were just amazing, we couldn't have hoped for a better stay near the Fish River Canyon. Also the quality of the dinner was so good. There was also a beautiful self-guided hike, which we would recommend!

Great location and quite luxurious; peaceful. The food (included in price) was good and the views superb.
For the price, the tours to the canyon should be included. The rooms need curtains on all windows as not everyone wants to be woken at 6am by the sun. The road is only suitable for vehicles with high clearance.

The view is amazing and the lodge is built to make us enjoy it as it deserves to be enjoyed.
The canyon drive was amazing!!
The noise of the wind in the room is quite strong, but with earplugs it is ok.
I think there will be construction works in January 2023 to fix it.

The location of the Lodge is by far the best benefit. The view is simply fantastic. No other similar option with the view over Fish River Canyon exists and this is why we have chosen the lodge. The tent was very nice and comfortable, the food was very good and the service as well.

the view
pool a little too cold
use solar to take thee icy edge off
also hot water for tea and ice water for drinking should be provided automatically without having to ask in an and pm

The view of the canyon from the main building and from every room is superb, a unique experience. The rooms were private, clean and spacious with nice touches such as the provision of a torch to assist with navigating the path to the main building in the dark. There's no air conditioning but opening some windows allowed the breeze to keep us comfortable. Earplugs are recommended - the site is exposed and the wind can be loud.
The staff were friendly, helpful and very efficient and the food was of a high standard with a very good choice of drinks at the bar.
We did the 7 hour canyon drive which we thoroughly enjoyed. Be aware that it navigates some very rough terrain and the ride is bumpy at times but the driver was very competent and considerate. He stopped often to point out flora, fauna or geological features and the time flew. We stopped at a beautiful spring-fed pool where we swam and ate lunch. Highly recommended.
This stay was one of the highlights of our trip.
