Excellent friendly service. Room was really clean and well maintained with excellent bathroom. The building is generally a bit outdated but for the price it was excellent.
For the price, nothing needed improving.

Great location and friendly staff. Clean room with comfortable beds. Very good shower in the room. Quick and easy check-in and out. Great information about the area and the Highland.

the shower water flow was good in comparison to other accomodation.
we didn’t like very much about this property. the bathrooms were old and tired. the pillows were not good. The floors creaked and the room was very small. very poor value for money. only enough milk for 2 cups of coffee and we were there for 2 days. if you order coffee in the restaurant you get instant coffee.

Location was great for the NC500 & Singleton distillery. We had Cereal tea & toast £7 each ( maybe could be included in room price?)
Only one free electric socket & no heating in the bathroom!

Clean and comfortable bed
I booked two rooms and the other room used by a couple, due to last minute changes on my side, when checking in were not told anything , but had a knock on my door and someone identifying him self a hotel manager after I asked who was at the door and I was asked how many people were in the , room. And were called to Go to reception to pay extra , for the room where the couple were.
Fair enough,
My problem was not paying extra , it's the way it was done, we checked in and there were 3 of us for 2 rooms booked , why were we not asked while there , to follow us to the room , I had to jump out of the shower to answer the door .
The whole questioning done in front of the bar , no privacy.
And the other room in the morning had no hot water
The whole issue could have handled in a better way , all what was needed was to communicate, and could have avoided the embarrassment and stress we went through.
Even if we're delayed in checking in , as per hotel protocol we did not deserve to be treated like that.

Brian and his wife (the owners of the Ord Arms) created a great atmosphere and Provided us with a great breakfast and as a real bonus to us Brian gave us a lift from the hotel to the Black Isle Showground which saved us a considerable walk and we also enjoyed the famous Black Isle Show, best regards, Norman Masson & Olive Scott.

Room was reasonably spacious and comfortable, but had separate bathroom through two fire-doors. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good (but at extra cost)
Hotel generally in need of upgrading. Lack of places to eat in the vicinity (and hotel's own restaurant was closed).

The hotel is on the NC500 route, so provides a perfect location to start or end an NC500 trip. The room had everything you require for your stay. My room had a shared bathroom, but there is a basin in the room for shaves, cleaning teeth etc. The Staff and owner were great and made me feel very welcome. Brian the owner was very helpful and gave me some good tips and recommendations for my journey. I would happily stay here again.
There was nothing I could complain about and any issues I was already aware of, before my visit

Perfect, for our stop on the way to Ullapool.
