Bathroom room was well used bathroom sealants grubby.

The room was ok. Bed was comfortable. Staff were pleasant. Location from Newcastle Airport (15mins). Lots of car parking spaces. Lady of the North attraction behind, nice walk.
The issue for me was more the noise, both between rooms and room to corridor. No soft/quiet close to the doors and therefore when other guests let them swing shut, it’s loud. (a nuisance early in morning or late night). Noise levels between rooms very prominent (TV or conversations). I thought breakfast was a little skimpy if you have anything other than full English. No bread for toasting. If you wanted toast, they told me could only do sourdough but this would be charged extra. I stay every week at hotels around the country and the first time I’ve come across this. Didn’t think it was particularly good value for money. Though a lot cheaper than staying at any by Newcastle Airport (this place is only 15mins from airport).

Great food, great sized room, great staff...
The room lighting was very dark especially for applying makeup...

The location and style of the Accomodation was as expected.
A couple of the meals we had at the venue for breakfast the bread tasted like it was stale , certainly not fresh and restricted Gluten free options not readily available.

Room 1 is great if you have limited mobility. Very good wet room and shower. All staff very professional and friendly.
Beds could do with a bigger quilt as it kept falling off but not a big problem as rooms are warm.

The breakfast/ evening meal was ok nothing outstanding
The carpets in the rooms and room areas was stained and generally passed it’s best

Beautiful country pub in idyllic surroundings. Staff were exceptionally friendly, cosy rooms set in an annexe just off the pub itself. We're there to attend a wedding at Shotten Grange just 2 mins down the road so didn't have time to explore the surroundings but I am told there are some lovely walks and also only about 10miles to bith Newcastle centre and the airport. Would love to visit again .
There was nothing to dislike. We ate in the restaurant which was reasonably priced for Dinner and breakfast. Lovely food served with a smile.

enjoyable stay

Location was good. Food and drink was fine.
Getting out of bed and feeling someone else’s toenail clippings under my bare feet. On further inspection the carpet in the room had detritus all over it - bits of grape stalk, the toenail clippings, bits of unidentified other ‘stuff’.

It was very easy to check in and check out. The breakfast was substantial and very, very well cooked. Our room was very conveniently on the ground floor, perfectly temperate and no noise was experienced.
We will definitely return when next in the area.
The only thing that would have made our stay better would have been a bath. However, we only stayed for one night and the shower was nice and powerful and easy to use.

Food was awful and always cold definitely wouldn't eat there again 😕

Nice location with good sized clean and comfortable rooms.
Bar staff closed the bar at 2220 had to ask for a supervisor to authorise the sale of wine to take to the room explaining we were residents and had been told earlier in the day that we would be ok to have a drink upon returning from our day out.

Good staff and food
Noise all night from either the boiler room, air con units or kitchen extractor fans

lovely cosy rooms tired bathroom but good shower - lovely bar but restaurant was low on staff hence opening hours and food choices affected !
Very SLOW food service - tepid food and overcooked food and things missing from orders - plus basics like cutlery etc etc - very few staff! it was very poor service but due to staffing levels- the staff were doing they’re best and were pleasant but obviously stressed at times !!
