We loved absolutely everything, from the personal touches, the professional, friendly welcome from everyone who worked there as well as the peacefulness. The rooms were superb and comfortable. I cannot wait to visit again
The welcome bottle of wine, the fruit, macarons and the truffels are all lovely gestures.
The wine was superb too đź’“
We didn't book a couple more nights

Location, the setting, facilities, lovely room, really good value for money.
what is not to like?

There's a lot of activities in the hotel - kayaks, paddle boarding, sauna, walks, etc.
The property walks and lake are stunning.
It was very quiet when we were there (between Christmas and new year) and really peaceful, great for a relaxing break in the nature.
Do not expect a luxurious experience / 5 starts service.
The staff is friendly but not very accommodating.
The rooms are nice, specifically the fireplace but somehow a little outdated.

clean with plenty to do
needed more variation in the menu

Completely rural location, very private and extensive grounds to discover by bike, supplied to every apartment. fantastic service from the team throughout. Great amenities to relax and enjoy.
4.6
Beautiful rural setting with many rural activities and things to do and see. Very good pool.

We had everything there! There was no need to go outside of the Quinta.
We wanted to buy a voucher for someone else, but unfortunately the place don’t offer staying vouchers.

We stayed in a junior suite in a building about 2.5 kms from reception and the breakfast/dining room. The junior suite was large, reasonably comfortable and very clean. I would rate it as good value for money when you take into account the wide range of free activities available for use within their 1000 hectares (10 square kilometers!). Every room has it's own bicycles so it's easy to get about - if you can cycle. There are smaller rooms in the reception building for those who want to have all their facilities local. When we there it was too hot to go out during the day, so we will definitely go back when it's cooler to explore the place more. The food is okay to good and fairly priced.
Noise travels between rooms. The afternoon we arrived there was a big noisy family in the adjacent suite and the connecting door between our suites had no sound proofing at all.
The breakfast is simple and adequate. As so often in Portugal most food is sweetened. We and other guests we met would have appreciated for example some unsweetened natural yogurt.

We booked the deluxe room which was actually the whole top floor of a house including 3 terraces, kitchen, living room and 2 bathrooms.
Accommodation was a short drive in car or on bike to the restaurant.

I loved everything about this hotel! the grounds are beautiful, the accommodation stunning and staff were so helpful.
nothing!
4.6
Superb large bedroom and bathroom very well decorated.
Beautifully set in Large grounds with great scenery and landscape.
Food except breakfast was poor value for money in terms of quality and taste.
Many of the suggested activities were not available.
We have done wine tastings at vineyards all over the world including other vineyards in Alentejo, so we can compare to say the wine tasting experience was the worst ever. Don’t waste your money.

A beautiful and tranquil setting. Spacious, luxurious accommodation and friendly, helpful staff. Bikes provided to each room are a great way of moving around the estate.
There are a number of things that you would not expect when paying EUR390 a night that I will take up directly with the management of Herdade Dos Grous

The environment. Very clean. We feel close to the nature. The restaurant is very good. Good wines.

Everything! This is a magical place!

Fantastic place with beautiful
surroundings.
One room was not ready at arrival but was compensated correctly at check out.

The whole concept with winery, vineyards and lake is absolutely fantastic. There are also several pedestrian walks around the property. We did two of them and enjoyed the long walks/hikes with flora and fauna everywhere. A must do!!! One of the most beautiful places we've ever stayed at. Food was excellent. Our suite was nice and warm all day through. Lovely ambience with a fantastic tiled bathroom. Cosy and comfy. View directly over the lake with a stork colony and happy birds everywhere. Sunsets were amazing. Bicycles free to use.
Schlepping our luggage from the parking area was quite an effort. Space between toilet and bathtub too small.
4.6
Very comfortable accommodation, but also close to nature. The restaurant is fantastic and the wines produced by the estate are wonderful.
There wasn’t anything I didn’t enjoy.

Our second time - everything great, again! It's great having a fireplace in the room, which is huge, as well the amazing views over the lake.

I like everything. Very high standard of accommodation. Locality and the amenities were brilliant. The staff were lovely and efficient. I plan to return in the autumn.

We had the wine pairing dinner with excellent wines but the food was mediocre, although Ă la carte the food is good.
