We had a wonderful stay even though it was for 1 night only. We got to see a sloth on the property, my kids were excited. If you're driving, make sure to have a 4x4. Nice jungle experience while still being close enough to beach and restos. Would definitely stay again,

We loved everything understanding that this facility is not for everyone but it's exactly what we were looking for and the personnel on site were excellent, food excellent, room excellent+, need I say more... The location was just as good being between the BriBri area, Panama border, all the attractions on the Southern Caribbean coast. We could not have asked for more! On my first rolled in, the driveway is a bit humbling and we thought we wouldn't like that it does not have air conditioning but it didn't seem to matter there. Breakfasts are always wonderful with fresh fruits jellies and jams and crepes, we had the pools for ourselves. The staff on site was exceptional (I'm bad at names) and the grounds were kept natural and beautiful. All in all we were there for seven nights and would definitely go back! 👍👍👍👍
Leaving!

Amazing location, amazing lodges in the middle of the jungle, amazing staff, exactly like on the photos. There are a couple of small houses perfectly placed in the jungle far enough from each other for having enough privacy and a little creek running by.. For the kids it was a great area to explore as there were many animals and instects around all the time. Pool is very nice close to the breakfast / common area while the beach is just 4min by car down the road.
I want to mention here the two volunteers Pedro and Elsa that were just amazing with our kids. Many thanks to them for making our 2 days there so incredible. All staff is very nice, very attentive and helpful. They were always around and available. Absolutely great price - value ratio.
The location sent with the confirmation is not exact which made it a little hard to find as there is no reception. It is correct on Google and maps.me though. Breakfast was not as extensive (limited to basics) based on what we got in other stays.

great pool and nice people

In the middle of the jungle. Awesome place to stay. The pool was a nice extra. The hostesses were awesome.
Really felt close to nature. Not a problem but good to know: Wifi only available in communal area - which was very nice to hang out.
Kitchen had all utensils you needed, be it a little old. 😊
The bungalows felt a little damp and the shower is a bit cold sometimes 😉

the staff was very more than accommodating, the place was stunning, the cabins were well designed and comfortable. we’ve been living in Costa Rica for years now and Finca Ardilla was the most impressive setting that we’ve stayed so far
the place is lacking a cozy and comfortable chill area

Very beautiful, surrounded by nature.

It’s amazing how the Lodges are located in the Jungle.

Staff is respectful, clean and tidy.
No A/C.
And no other options to choose for breakfast.
A little far from the beach and Puerto Viejo

Not too much
Very bad breakfast, every day they prepared the same thing, one night a lot of noise from other guests due to a party, pool in very poor cleaning conditions, the kitchen area of the cabin very dirty, inside the cabin relatively well, they do not have available shampoo or soap take into consideration

We are thankful and happy for the time we spent at Finca Ardilla. We enjoyed our room and the community area surrounded by nature as well as the open-air swimming pool at night. Jaén, a staff member, helped us find services in the area and prepared a nice breakfast every morning and was always ready to help.
Steep driveway down to the parking lot. Only the master bed had mosquito netting, bathroom could use some soap or shampoo.

all the staff were so friendly and helpful. I’m gluten free and each day they went to get me delicious fresh cakes for my breakfast, different each time. It’s beautiful jungle here with a pool, what’s not to love! last but not least the animals here - they have 4 dogs and 3 cats, so friendly. it’s private - you don’t hear your neighbours and you have your own mini bungalow
nothing

Very nice Hosts, wonderful place.

I like that it is in quite location. It’s a place to meditate and just to listen to the noice of the jungle.
The fact that the properties entrance was hard to enter and the sign is not easy yo find.

The reception was warm and friendly. The volunteer staff were helpful and happy to chat. They provided a great breakfast and tips about the area and local flora and fauna.
The place itself is amazing; the jungle setting, and natural sustainable accomodation
It's hot so A/C would be great but is NOT that kind of place. It's really natural, intense and jungly but strangely there are no annoying insects. Happy surprise
2.5
It was in the middle of the jungle in contact of local flora and animals. Volunteers who work there are nice and try to fix all problems quickly, the breakfast was also sufficient
It looks like the owner doesn’t have a good care of the property, bungalows are old and not very clean. When we arrived we didn’t have access to water and again during the night. Specialty the shower and bathroom were not clean. The pillows were very old and dirty therefore it was difficult to have a good rest. Also parking space is very limited taking into account the amount of people they accept.

Nature surrounding the whole place is amazing.
Host's friendliness. Sarah and Remy were great.
Pet friendly hotel
I understand you are in the middle of nature and you want to connect with it, but I personally love blackout curtains so I can sleep deeply.
Some windows dont have curtains, even though there isnt direct sun light it did wake us up at 6am.

The host is an amazing person, with great personality and really friendly, always willing to help. The pool was awesome, you are surrounded by nature and is so quiet and nice.
This place is almost 3km from beach. We already knew but this is why is so awesome and peaceful.
Breaksfast is not a costarican breakfast, is French, which it was something different to us, but really good, with our coffee and fruits :)
You are going to be on nature, so is normal to have bugs, dust and noise from crickets
Be prepared to be disconnected from your phone :) not a great wifi.

Everything! This is a place everyone should meet, the staff is very friendly and the place is truly inside the , the jungle. The breakfast was delicious! The pool was very clean. Love the bungalows, incredible clean and the beds very comfortable.
I don’t like that I can’t stay longer.

The location was very quiet. The property was surrounded by beautiful plants and wildlife.
The facilities were not well maintained. There were trash bags and litter throughout the property, and we were not offered new towels or room maintenance throughout our stay. Lastly, the wifi was very poor and only available around the check-in location, which was only a problem for us because we were also unable to get a phone signal and needed to do work. Notice of these things would have been helpful.

Veronika and her "team" was very friendly and the place is amazing. Living in the jungle with everyting you would need (even a sloth or tucan). The accommodation is worth for jungle and insect lover. Homemade breakfest was really nice.
What are a little cons is that this place does not have a hot water in the shower and there is no net in the door. So the repelend should be used.
