Beautiful exterior to the building -
Relaxed atmosphere , but immaculately turned out.
Welcoming reception staff, useful information sheet, good advice given on local bus service .
Good breakfast (perfect poached eggs!) attentive staff and never felt pressured to rush.
Nothing

Food and service

Staff were excellent and very helpful. Breakfast and dinner (two nights) were also excellent: an excellent range of food and beverages, well cooked and well presented.
The two locals sitting at the bar at dinner time were rather noisy and had had at least enough to drink by the time they left. The stairs were a bit tricky: the hotel would have been so much better if it had had an elevator (lift).
4.3
Staff were very friendly
Hairs in the bath, frayed carpet, stained curtain, unable to turn off radiator on hottest day of the year so far. Bed soft/uncomfortable

Byen St. Austell virket lite inspirerende. Men kan anbefale "Trinity" for lunsj f.eks.

room was very clean plenty of space for clothes, shower good, breakfast good as well, did not have dinner. They arranged a taxi for us as we were attending a wedding nearby and found out approx cost.
Bar area a little grubby in places

The food was great! The service from staff was brilliant, nothing was too much trouble, they were very attentive. A great central location to visit many places around cornwall.
A lovely old building next to a church which rung the clock bells all day, it was lovely to hear and to keep time 😁
It could be noisy outside at night as youths congregated in the church grounds and also around the shopping centre. This i felt was quite intimidating at times. We were situated in a front facing room, it may be quiet at the back?
I think the rooms could do with a bit of an upgrade the furniture etc is quite dated, it needs a freshen up everywhere. However, it would not put us off staying at the White Hart again. You get great value for your buck.

Great location, the hotel was very pleasant, the room also very pleasant, clean and tidy, I was able to park on the car park, the staff very polite and helpful.
Nothing. All was really pleasant.

Staff, room and restaurant and food, and service.
the two bedside lamps by the beds didn't work.

The whole experience from arriving at the hotel where we were shown to our room by Dylan who also helped with Sally's case to when we left when Nik carried our cases down to reception. The Breakfast and Evening Meals were absolutely delicious. Sally and myself would like to give a special thanks to Dylan and Mike who made us feel relaxed and at home on our stay. Thank you all

Breakfast there was plenty of choice
Bar didn’t stay open late

Good location and parking just couple meters from hotel.

The service from the staff was exceptional, the young blonde gentleman who checked us in was also our waiter and bartender during which continuing to man the reception when necessary. He did an amazing job, he was very kind, professional and had a great sense of humor which made our stay even more enjoyable. The rest of the staff are warm and friendly with a great eye for detail.
The rooms were a decent size and the bed was very comfortable in my opinion. The room we stayed in was equipped with a rainfall shower with good pressure and range of temperature. The facilities look modern and well looked after.
We stayed in for both dinner and breakfast the day after. The dinner service was top tier, the portion sizes, freshness and quality of the food was amazing. The quality carried over to the breakfast service. We had lots of people catering to us, the breakfast came out quickly, hot and fresh.
The only thing we could think to highlight was the confusion we had with the parking found behind the hotel across the road however the blonde gentleman who checked us in walked outside and round to the back and kindly pointed it out for us.

Staff were very friendly, good bed, good shower, good bar, & good food.
Windows are old & not very soundproof.

Comfortable and clean room, friendly staff and good food/drink in the restaurant. Well located in St Austell.

comfortable room. friendly staff

Centrally located in heart of St Austell, less than 5 mins from mainline station
Loved there was a kettle & tea, coffee etc, iron, plug socket by long mirror for doing hair. Be nice if there was LED light above also.
If you are a late riser, ask for a quiet room otherwise expect Church bells from 7. Am weekdays & 8 am Sunday .
I loved it as I'm an early riser , but may be a consideration if you're a late riser

The staff were super friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. The room was perfect. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will be going back again. Highly recommended!
Nothing 🤷🏻♀️ It was a fantastic place to stay.
4.3
Food and service amazing , room bed very comfy .
but noise level from traffic all night long was a major problem for me as very light sleeper used to zero noise
so after 7 hour journey next day was exceedingly tired and had to face another 7 hours to get home including a ferry
Noise in room , suggest double glazing
4.3
Great location for the Eden project ,lost garden of Heligan and some of the lovely harbour villages all accessible by public transport. The hotel itself is walking distance from St Austell train station. They offer a very nice breakfast and dinner menu.
St Austell itself hasn't got much to offer in terms of sights or restaurants but Charlestown is only a short taxi ride away and a must to visit tall ship harbour, nice pub and good restaurants
4.3
Nice building. Very good food. Convenient location for visiting the Eden Project and some of the small towns and villages on the south Cornwall coast.
Mattress was a bit soft but other than that nothing really.

Everything. Location, comfort and food quality

Expected it to be quaint and it was. The staff were fine. Andrew is too good for the people he works for.
Ms. Beard is an absolute LIAR and she tried to make capital out of The Queen’s death. SHAME ON HER.
Centuries ago she might have been beheaded. I will alert via social media as widely as possible both in UK and Australia. I have four relatives in St Austell who will assist and support me. Doubt this will affect The White Hart Hotel because of the demand for accommodation but be warned.
The door to room 12 had a faulty lock. Ms. Beard claims the sad day across the UK made it difficult to get the lock fixed. The Queen died THE FOLLOWING DAY. Go figure! Some members of staff were aware of the difficulties with the lock and so was the locksmith. Ms Beard claims she tried to get an engineer. That’s not what she needs it’s a little reality.

Water pressure in Rm13 was poor. Shower only just managed to work.
