I had an absolutely wonderful stay in this corner of heaven, surrounded by golden fields and pastel colour flowers, waking up to a beautiful view of the sea and enjoying glorious weather. Sam and Mike are excellent hosts, with a genuine passion for hospitality and an artistic sensibility, which is clearly reflected in the beautifully furnished rooms, decorated with great attention to details. The made to order breakfast is truly delicious and includes an assorted variety of options. Their pancakes are unmissable and the Scottish breakfast that they serve is amazing. The rooms are very clean, fully equipped with fridge, tea/coffees facilities and very comfortable beds. Sam and Mike are very knowledgable about the area and provided me with useful info on the events that were taking place in the Fife region during my stay. I was there for wildlife photography but thanks to Sam & Mike I got to know about the local arts festival and it was great to explore the exhibitions and discover so many talented artists after a photoshoot in the nature. A stay in this farmhouse is highly recommended to anyone who is looking for a deeply relaxing time, close to nature, surrounded by inspiring, picturesque sceneries that stimulate creativity.
Everything was perfect.

Mike and Sam, just the most hospitable and friendly people. Always on hand to offer local advice and we even got a life in to town one day when we couldn’t get a taxi. The property is immaculate and the attention to detail is unreal, a proper home from home.
That we only stayed for 3 nights, wish it was longer!

The whole experience was amazing and made us feel right at home. Everything tidy and clean to an incredible degree, and every little detail had been looked at, including coffee and snacks in the room! What we were most surprised by was the hospitality of Sam and Mike. They were genuinely caring at everything they did, they were there at every moment, always with a smile and ready to help with anything! The breakfast was also impressive, incorporating local products of great quality and most importantly, it was delicious! We will definitely go back!
Locationwise it was a bit difficult to get there as there were no buses. It's about a 30 mins walk away from st andrews university, but very accessible by car, so make sure you plan ahead and take weather conditions into account!

Beautifully presented. Owners were very helpful and friendly as well as knowledgable about the area. Great pre visit information too. Fabulous breakfast as well.
Nothing. Only thing to note is it a little out of town and a car would be preferable to get around. We used our car during the day but used taxis at night to go into St Andrews.

Sam and Mike the owners were absolutely delightful! So welcoming and genuinely lovely people. we stayed in Morag the Shepherds hut and it was like a little bit of Heaven. stunning garden and surroundings. The weather was kind to us so we could eat our breakfast on the patio. There was also cushions and blankets if needed. Sam delivered us fresh fruit salad which was our choice for breakfast….. delicious!!
There was also several items in the hut awaiting us….. also delicious!!
One of our favourite places now !!
