good value for money-amazing views
for the price it was great. If you’re expecting luxury and a pristine garden and up to the minute furnishings it’s not for you.

Excellent view across kilbrannon sound
I felt that the shrubs below the house were becoming a bit tall - and were beginning to interfere with the view from the splendid lounge window. Because this view is the special feature and attraction of the property - the owners should consider trying to trim back the bushes

Nothing - the property was described well on the website.

This property was in a lovely location, very spacious and easy to find once we knew what we were doing. The views from the bay window were incredible and you would never get bored of staring. It was the kids favourite spot to sit and on our last day we spotted the seals!
Nothing not to like the property is ideally located.

The location was excellent and the views were fantastic especially nice from the garden and fire pit area. The house had a well-equipped kitchen.
Our first impression was that the house had not been used for some time and was musty. Although the house seemed clean on the surface there were spider webs and areas behind doors and round edges of rooms that could have been cleaner. Not the deep clean one would expect during COVID times. We also discovered on our last day that the vacuum cleaner hoses kept falling apart.
The furniture is in need of an update. The beds were uncomfortable, pillows and duvets were flimsy.
The springs under the lounge sofas were collapsed and the dining furniture had loose chair joints and a wiggly table which my son tightened with his bicycle allen keys!
This house could be excellent with a little TLC.

Comfortable and well equipped
Basic and in need of some investment

The facilities in the property were very good for a family. The rooms were comfortable, the decor a little dated, but clean enough. The kitchen had everything we needed. The outside space was very good, we used the bbq and the fire pit. The views across Peninver Sands and seeing Arran were gorgeous. The walk to the beach was a couple of mins with the bay being quite sheltered we were able to go in swimming and paddling. We did a bit of touring round the peninsula, and this was a great spot to reach Southend, Machrihanish, Mull of Kintyre, and Carradale.
The little village doesn't really have anything in it at all, we couldn't find the local pub, however this did not detract, as it was a short drive (10 mins) to Campbeltown where there are plenty of shops, a few restaurants, takeaways etc.

The accommodation was absolutely perfect. We were a group of five adults and one child and had absolutely everything we needed. We made full use of the bbq and fire pit and the kitchen was well equipped. To be honest the pictures particularly of the view do not do the property justice, I could happily have sat by the window all day. We were lucky to watch the seals and porpoises each day! Although there isn’t much in the town, it is only a short drive or friendly bus ride into Campbeltown.
I recommend a trip to davaar island and Gigha!

Fantastic views, lots of space and the house is very well-equipped. We especially liked the log burner, which made the living room so cosy on the chilly Scottish October nights. Though we didn't get to meet Nannette (due to Covid) she was extremely helpful and always available during our stay. I'd definitely book again!
