beautiful location and nice decor
the wfi ending in 666 was a little creepy

It is a lovely, charming, idyllic cottage with spacious and clean rooms. The space was adequate for our group of 5 people
It could’ve done with a starter pack of instant coffee and possible a bottle of milk. It is a fair distance from the nearest supermarket/shop and having a coffee on arrival would’ve been great.

House was very airy and light. Lots of space and very clean. Quiet location with a great view. Close to Portree. Shower was great!
Not enough towels or toilet paper. Mirror was missing in the bathroom. Tried contacting hosts with no luck.

Quiet and picturesque location
House on the outside and inside walls could be freshened up.

Amazing location, great house, comfortable beds, great appliances, great kitchen. Overall a great house at the most tranquill location I've ever seen. Right out of a movie. It's incredibly secluded, without being very remote (15-20 mins to Portree, 20 minutes to the Fairy Glenn and also the Quaring walk). We didn't regret booking this house despite the negatives.
The house wasn't super clean. The essentials (bedroom, bathroom) were clean, but there were cobwebs and some dirt from previous guests in hidden locations (couch, countertop, handles). Also, the house could really use a renovation (new coat of paint, fixed chairs, etc.). The water is also kept at 42 C in the boiler, which seems to low.
Also, contact with the owner was great before check-in. But after check-in I had some questions about the warm water and dishwasher, and I never got any reply on chat. The first telephone number also didn't pick up. The second telephone number worked, but this was a number for some kind of bigger organization and they had many properties, so the answers weren't very specific.

Getting the keys was super easy. Everything was ready for us when we arrived. There's a washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, iron. The underfloor heating is an absolute game changer during colder months.
The access road is a bit bumpy just before you reach the gate. Just make sure you drive slowly.

The location as great, exactly why we chose to stay there. We could reach most spots we wanted to see in an hour drive.
It was warm and cosy when we arrived (evening and already dark), which was great.
While we stayed there (Mid October), the key and also the lock of the front door were not working properly. It was hard to lock and unlock the door, wich made us feel a little anxious. The other thing was that one of the handles for the shower/bathtub was not working properly. We made the owner aware of these points.
And the last point was that we were missing some space to place our things in the bathroom and some parts of the furniture was missing or brocken. (we couldn’t hang our Jackets, the surface in front if the bathroom mirrors was quite tilted)

We couldnt lock the main door as the key kept getting stuck in the lock.

Great location, quiet and peaceful cottage.
Very clean, very cosy and well funished (even for small details like salt, tea, sugar and laundry supplies).
Easy self-checking procedure.
Host gave us excellent infos prior to our arrival.

Everything apart from the apartment not being very clean
There were food rests in the oven and toaster and the surfaces of the cupboards were very fat.

The location is amazing, and the cottage is beautiful. It was an amazing experience.
The kitchen could be better furnished, for example there were no pans at all (e.g. to fry an egg).

the location- the view was beautiful on a clear day. It was quiet.
The upkeep- the cottage was poorly maintained by the owner. curtain hems which had been glued were falling down, stains on the walls. There was a continuous beeping from the boiler in the utility room the whole week- despite raising it, no action was taken and it could be heard throughout the downstairs. The lower floor bathroom had mould and limescale in the shower and it smelt. The shower did not run well it was always cold and so only the upstairs bathroom was used. The cottage was just generally dirty. The fire didn’t work/ out of use. chipped plates in the kitchen. For the cost of the property to rent, there are nicer places- but of course they are booked quickly.

Location was lovely, Isle of Skye is beautiful.
The beds were comfy and some helpful things like shower gel, shampoo and toilet rolls were available to use.
This cottage feels unloved and unlived in, a work still in progress and not fit to be hired out to guests. The website photos do not reflect the poor condition of the property, it is run down, dangerous and most of the furniture is broken or missing. The hire price is really expensive for what is presented and I would not recommend anyone stay here.
Limited information was provided in advance and a detailed inventory breakdown would have been helpful.
Directions were poor, it was very stressful to find the cottage.
Website shows a road sign, but this is now missing.
The exterior of the cottage looked untidy and uncared for eg; rubbish outside, broken hula hoop, overgrown front and back yard, window frames in poor condition, doors were dirty. “Garden, patio, seating area” does not reflect the actual surroundings (see photos).
On arrival my family were shocked by the poor condition of the cottage. They couldn’t stop crying with disappointment, there was a horrible smell everywhere, there were cobwebs and spiders in most room corners and so much dust that we all sneezed a lot. My daughter said she would rather camp in the rain than stay here. My son said it reminded him of a halfway house that criminals go to after prison, where it’s all a bit run down and nobody knows how to find them.
On the Ground Floor the sinks, baths, shower, toilets had been recently cleaned but very little else in each room was clean. The drain trap in downstairs shower was disgusting and would not drain, so after it flooded the floor I took it apart to clean only to find months of grime, hair and sludge. It was the awful, unhygienic and really grim. The lounge door catches on the floor, v.noisy and long scrape so we tried not to use this door.
In the Kitchen, there were missing lampshades and no window blind/curtains at rear which felt unsafe. There were left over cracker crumbs in tins, dirty knives that had not been washed and leftover food (onion peel) in cupboards.

The location was amazing, cottage was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The sky at night was one of the biggest sky's I've ever seen!
There could of been a few more glasses, roasting tin and a grill pan but we survived!😊

Location was good, good view of the mountain, rooms are spacious and kitchen was good
There were lot of spiders in the room, which didnt go well with my 8 yr old daughter. The grass and weeds overgrown at the front, so not able to sit infront of the house and enjoy the view

It smelt dirty on arrival. Outside unkept and inside really needs a good lick of paint to freshen it all up

Lovely, light spacious accommodation. Homely .Surrounding scenery relaxing and lovely. Provided washing up liquid ,shower wash etc. Facilities very good.
I didn’t dislike anything although I hadn’t anticipated it would be a mile off the main track. We had fantastic weather so somewhere to sit outside would have been good . If I visited Skye again I would hesitate to book or recommend to others.

Location
Very comfortable beds Would like to know the make of the mattress
Size of property even if there had been six adults ,only draw back then was only five decent comfortable seats in lounge area.
Ease of access for key.
Desperately in need of a good deep clean, especially kitchen and bathrooms. Very dusty, could not have been hoovered before we arrived as we found pieces of a jigsaw on the lounge floor and sticks and rubbish between the seats of the settee. Bin under sink had not been emptied, disgusting smell of curry permeating house. Plenty glasses but not a set of any, no tumblers and only one teaspoon.
Toilet seats both in need of fixing. Wires in kitchen hanging out of wall and covered with a bag. We did send an email with the points, as requested but no real satisfaction from reply. No key for back door although implied from info book left that there should have been one.Outside could be tidier as it was not an inviting place to sit in the sun. It's a pity as with a little more money spent on accessories and general maintenance eg mirrors in bedrooms coat hooks replaced screws hanging from walls removed, bedding ironed, enough pots and pans to enable a family to cook, oven trays and another soft seat ,as there are only five at the moment in a property for six, then this would give value for money but as it stands, the nightly rate is too expensive.Perhaps the cleaner needs more time for cleaning this property.

The cottage is situated and beautiful location, close to Portree and many tourist points. The cottage had free wifi fast enough to upload maps, check local shops etc. The internet is capped on data, but reception for EE is good to use your own phone data. Unfortunately, Vodafone is barely making any connection. They have small fire place and wood supply. Big kitchen with dinning table.
The temperature in the cottage was good in the majority of the house, except the bedroom downstairs. The double covers helped but a 1 degree more would make a total difference. The temperature is set and cannot be changed. Apart from that no other issues.

Spacious, comfortable and clean. Beautiful views.
