Me gustó la atención del personal, las habitaciones son amplias y perfectamente limpias.
Bueno… hacen demasiado ruido, obviamente los otros huéspedes, no se puede dormir de a ratitos.

Beautiful, updated historical hotel in the Plaza Machado. The hotel has a great restaurant with a strong focus on traditional Sinaloanese food. My room was a good size with a comfortable but 'firm' bed. The bathroom had adequate lighting and there was always plenty of hot water in the shower. The air conditioner worked well when required. There was a small closet to hang all of our clothing for our 9 day stay. Check in was very smooth and I prepaid via the Booking app. There are very many restaurants nearby and amazing art galleries. Everything you need is practically within walking distance.
Flat, hard pillows. Shutters with privacy screens and no real windows to reduce the outside noises. The entertainment in the Plaza and outside the restaurant can go into the wee hours of the morning. I highly recommend earplugs. This is not a deal breaker though and I do intend to return and stay again in the near future!

Location was key and it was kind of rustic and just great
Luciel the bartender was rude and decided to treat me poorly during my whole stay . Also the water pressure for showers should be improved

Best location in town, off of famous Plaza Machado! Amazing and helpful, hands-on hotel manager Armando! Super restaurant on premises with best live entertainment! Very cute and clean rooms!
Car parking man be a small challenge even though the manager took care of my motorcycle parking! Available parking not far..

Everything was great! Good music at night!
Breakfast was terrible. Luke warm coffee . Cold beans. Took along time. Only 3 people waiting for breakfast.

location was awesome.

The location is absolutely brilliant. Right on the main square. Quiet in the back where we were but bustling with lights and food and music outside. We loved it!
Breakfast was meh. Ended up with a lovely fruit plate and herb tea every morning as the hot offerings were not that great. But that was fine. There is lots of food around

The location of this hotel, on the Plaza Machado, is the centre of culture, entertainment and exceptional dining options in Mazatlan. Everything we wanted to do and see was within walking distance. At night, the Plaza Machado became an entertainment mecca with exceptional variety of live music all around the plaza. If you like live entertainment, dancing, dining, partying, this hotel is for you. The hotel staff were very kind and helpful. A special thank you to Javier who looked after us very well at breakfast.
It was a challenge to get a good night sleep. The live music lasted until about 11pm. That was fine, but the people did not stop just because the music ended. Parties came into the hotel once the music ended and continued to party until the late hours. If you are an early to bed type or a light sleeper, this hotel may be too noisy for you.

Beautiful inside. indoor and outdoor courtyard restaurants. Central historic Mazatlan is the place to be and this is the center of Centro! Good air conditioning, wonderful staff!
Noisy, especially on weekends. they provide earplugs, and I have my own white noise
maker, so not too bad for me. Lots of steps to many of the rooms. There is a beautiful water feature but it is hardly a “pool”!

The hotel's central location on the popular Plaza Machado is fantastic. This is a lovely area to visit boutiques and restaurants, and even easily walk to Playa Olas Altas. The hotel staff are very friendly and gracious. Our room on the ground floor was more quiet than we expected, given the hotel's location. The beds were comfortable, the linens were clean. The hotel patio, lobby, and pool area are very pretty.
Our party of 3 shared a ground-floor room with two double beds. Unfortunately, we had to live out of our suitcases because the room included only one miniature closet with 6 hangers, and no dresser drawers, no shelving (except for one small shelf in front of a mirror), no suitcase stand, or wall hooks to hang items, and no safe. The room did not include extras like coffee or a refrigerator. One small night stand was shared by both beds. There was very little space to store items in the bathroom. The Wifi in our room was poor and often unavailable. Additional furnishings would have really enhanced our stay.

Really appreciated the aesthetic and decor of the hotel, which is located right on Machado Plaza. The plaza itself is a lively place with restaurants, music and shopping stalls coming to life in the evening. Also really appreciated how helpful the staff were (they met me more than halfway in understanding what I was asking for in my broken Spanish).
Just as importantly, they were able to provide refills of water in my reusable bottle, which helped me reduce my use of single use plastic bottles.
Mateo, the hotel cat, was a cute bonus.
I highly encourage guests to take morning walks out to the coastline and find the coconut stalls along the way - some of the best coconut water I've had.
Some notes: the rooms are decent sized but not spacious. I would say that a two bed room for four people would feel cramped. Also, if you're very sensitive to noise, you might not want to stay this close to the Plaza, as there's celebrations going on every night. I'm a deeper sleeper so I didn't mind it.
The internet is a little shaky and will keep going in and out. That being said, unless you're staying at this hotel and trying to get important work done, it's not a deal breaker. The wifi works great in the central Cafe area.

Hotel Raices del Mar experience was wonderful from the team members, location, comfort and design! They took care of any needs that I had. 💯% recommend! Thank you Raices!

It's a restaurant, with some hotel rooms in back. Common areas nicely decorated. The food is good, although this is generally true of the other places nearby.
Building is creaky old (i.e. "historic") refitted into an attempted boutiquey thing. Noisy from the location. One night and out. Staff kept trying to have me stay longer, to the point of actually running my credit card for an additional night. Fortunately I caught their "mistake" in time.

Lovely boutique hotel, an eclectic delight, right on the Plaza Machado and a few blocks from the Olas Altas beach. Friendly accommodating staff. Very good breakfast. Great for discovering Centro Histórico. One minor comment, our room could have had a small dresser to put a clothing and personal belongings away. Other than that, we had a great stay at Raíces de Mar. ❤️
The weekends are a little loud from the musicians at the Plaza restaurants, but the place was alive and the performers were excellent. 👌So we stayed around tp enjoy it. And they finish a little after midnight. 😊

Friendly staff, right in the center of everything. Actually in Plaza Machado. We only had breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel but the food was superb 👌👌

Hotel was beautiful, the location was perfect, the food at the restaurant was so authentic and delicious. I actually injured myself on the beach and the staff was so nice when I got to the hotel afterwards. Very sweet people working there!
The only complaint I have was one night a man was outside talking on his cell phone on speaker and I heard every word. The door to the outside isn't very thick.

The location was great. The hotel was nice. Breakfast was good.
The first night the room had a broken toilet and bed bugs. We moved and the second unit both beds had bed bugs and we got really bitten all over our bodies.
