The cottage was very clean and had all the necessities. We really appreciated the little welcome pack when we arrived.
Lots of blankets left out for both humans and dogs.
Well decorated and just a really lovely place to stay.
There wasn't anything we didn't like.

Lovely village accommodation with great access to the walks and sights of the Peak District.
The rooms were a little smaller than they appeared in the photos.

There was nothing to not like, beautiful house and garden with a lovely view. Very short walk into the village which was again beautiful. The house was spotless and the shower was amazing.

A wonderful weekend away. The cottage was in a perfect location for exploring the Peak District. The hosts were fantastic, plenty of communication prior to our stay and easy to get hold of when we had a question. Highly recommended! We will be back đ

Beautiful little cottage, felt very spacious. Host's left tea coffee sugar milk and bread for our arrival and even provided towels. Excellent location, lots to do in the area, great local pubs and cafĂŠs, well worth a visit.

Lovely property, nice and comfortably furnished and beautifully situated out of the active village but with easy access to it.
Great safe and roomy parking for my precious steed (just to be clear a car not a horse in this case).
Its a small thing, but quite important after an 8 hour drive. There was very, really very little toilet roll in the bathroom. Its a good job I bought two rolls with me, but I really think this particular consumable should be included in the deal.

Great place to stay, clean and comfortable. Friendly hosts! Good location for all the sights in the Peaks.

Just got back from a great bank holiday weekend stay with the family. Everything was brilliant. Took 2 dogs, and they even loved it. Steve would reply ever so quickly if needed and recommended some great places to visit during our stay. Some supplies on arrival and a lovely bottle of wine to top of a great stay. Fantastic weekend. Would highly recommend, in such a lovely location too. Thanks again, Steve.
There is nothing to like. Exceptional.

Host very helpful beforehand and allowed us to drop off stuff early. The location is fantastic, very quiet but easy walking distance of several pubs, cafes, shops in village.
Clean and comfortable, lovely log burner
A chair in the bedroom would be useful- Can't think of anything else!!

Great comfy cozy cottage. Lovely log burner and shower to die for. In a central position with secure off road parking, everything on your doorstep. Owner is very knowledgeable and recommended restaurant etc for us and our dog. We eat out on Sunday at the Red Lion in Litton and oh my god the food was fabulous. Only a 20 min walk to the next village. All pubs were very friendly in the village. The owner left a welcome pack of bread, biscuits. milk and a nice bottle of red. We had a great stay and the property was so warm inside which was perfect when it was minus outside. Definitely stay here again, thanks for a great weekend.
Nothing place is fabulous

A lovely house in an ideal location for us. The house has up-to-date fixtures and fittings and is comfortable, clean and warm. Easy access to pubs, cafes, shops and walks.
If I have to be picky, the dining table could do with a clean in it's crevices.

Location was perfect ticked all boxes everythingon hand within walking distance. A well equipped kitchen bathroom is stunning and beds were excellent.
,
Oven was not clean and there was food left clinging to an oven rack. Bin was also dirty these are just small things and did not affect our stay at all. One final thing sleep in rear room if a couple on your own as the bells ringing can be a distraction especially if you are a light sleeper

Tideswell is a lovely, quaint village with everything you need around you. Short drive to some lovely walks/parks. Great communication in the run up to our stay, clear instructions on how to enter etc. The house is very cosy, easy to stay in for long periods of time. The bathroom has recently been modernised so is different from the images, its a large walk in shower, this was nice and gave a luxury feel (I'd update the photos though, as we were expecting a bath in place). Super comfy bed and nice bedding. We had our puppy with us, it was nice for him too - dog bed and blanket provided. We went during the Christmas period and there was a tree up in the lounge which was nice! All in all, a really nice stay.
A couple of minor issues - there was a lack of basic items such as: toilet roll (there was none at all), teabags (1 left in the jar) and cleaning clothes/sponges. Thankfully, the shop was only a 3minute walk so no major issue! I believe the kitchen pans could do with being replaced too, not the best to cook with.

Rooms were of a high finish standard and impeccably clean. Great size property, plenty big enough whilst still being very cosy and warm. Everything there you could need. Owners couldnât be more helpful or quick to reply.
Noting, everything was how it should be

Fantastic location, dog friendly with plenty of blankets and beds provided. Good comfortable living space with a lovely fire. Owner friendly and very easily contactable.
Could have done with more toilet paper as we were left with one and a half rolls (or need to specify that you bring your own!) Was about clean enough for us on the whole but did have to get the products out on arrival (hair left in bath plug hole etc). Adding a dishwasher would be an improvement.

Exquisite cottage, immaculately clean and fully equipped to make this feel like a home.
Nothing, everything was perfect đ

We loved our second stay at Cathedral View! A much needed mini-break with our two dogs. Thank you to our hosts for the welcome treats we found on arrival. Such a well presented, clean and comfortable cottage - a home from home - in a great location with short walks into Tideswell and to surrounding villages. We enjoyed our walks to Tideswell Dale and nature reserve. Highly recommend this property.
Nothing not to like!

Comfortabel cottage

The kitchen was well-equipped, so we could easily prepare dinner. The two bedrooms were of fair size and each had a wardrobe, which is great if you plan on staying for a few days or more. It has a stunning view of a green space. We used the BBQ and relaxed in the garden, which was an inexpensive and enjoyable activity. The living area was comfortable and had a smart tv. The owner left us coffee, tea, wine, bread, salt, and other essentials.
The previous owners clearly had a dog and let it walk upstairs, which is not permitted, therefore there is dog hair on the carpet in one of the rooms. Many of the kitchen appliances were dirty and should have been cleaned before we came. The nearby church had bells that would ring every 15 minutes throughout the night, which was strange because it was in the centre of town and would wake a lot of people; I'm not sure if this is a frequent occurrence in Tideswell.

had everything we needed. beautiful inside and the garden on an evening was lovely
not as much we didnât like because when you visit youâll understand but there wasnât a door to the kitchen which if I didnât have a little toddler running everywhere I wouldnât have found it an issue.
however I wouldnât advise putting a door there either

Lovely little cottage, well equipped and comfortable.
Fantastic location within easy reach of some great walks and local pubs. Can certainly recommend the Star Inn and the Anchor for meal.
