Great property, good location but very steep and curvy road. You will need 4 wheel drive and chains in the winter. Cable tv very limited channels. Hot tub has a leak per technician who came out but was useable after he filled it. I would rent again if they fix the hot tub.

Nice house, we enjoyed our stay, especially all the wildlife; but part of the front and side decks need repair/replacement and the hot tub steps should be disposed of, they are dangerous! The ceiling fan in the upstairs master bdrm. is on high with no way to adjust. The coffee maker needs to be replaced, it takes 25 minutes for a pot of coffee!

The place was clean and cozy with plenty of space. We saw horses and turkeys right outside and the view was beautiful.
4.7
The property was a great place to rest and relax. We really enjoyed our time there.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this house. The check in and check out process was very simple. Everything met our expectations. Could the house stand some upgrades? Sure. The beds were quite hard and the deck could use some work. None of these things are remotely a deal breaker for us nor do they detract from my rating. We also had a bit of a run in with a bear that decided to check out the grill. The property folks were very understanding and quick to respond. Overall, we had a lovely stay and I would definitely recommend as well as rent from them again!

Had a great time. Cabin was plenty big enough and the outdoors was amazing. Loved seeing the animals in the morning!
4.7
The property is in a nice quiet area, deer and horses visit often…the house needs some exterior cleaning but is very good location for easy access to Ruidoso or surrounding area. I would suggest replacing carpet and some touch ups on the interior. We enjoyed our stay!

So peaceful!

We enjoyed our time at this location! Quiet and peaceful location. We did encounter 3 big spiders, but for being out of town, I’m sure it’s to be expected. Would stay here again!

We loved the Red House. The space is well thought out. It was very clean. It is a little outdated, but the area is as well. The location is great.
4.7
Our stay was great. Everything is in the house worked great and it had an excellent layout. Wish the fireplace was working.
4.7
The cabin was very cozy and clean. Plenty of cooking and eating utensils and pans. The hot tub was clean and worked great! The location for the cabin was a perfect getaway place with few neighbors. I will definitely be back again

Loved it. Cabin was warm and cozy. Highly recommend.

it was great

Really enjoyed the overall coziness of the living room, but spent most of the time on deck area enjoying the views! We were lucky to have perfect weather during our stay.
My only criticism would be stained carpets upstairs. And even though we didn’t use the hot tub, the steps for it were in bad shape.
Overall our experience at the cabin was great!

This property was just what we needed for a girls weekend. Coffee on the patio in the morning was the perfect way to start our day. The cabin was the perfect size where we can all cook dinner and still have time to yourself.
Its clean and spacious and the hot tub is a great way to wind down.
I would recommend this for time with family or friends

The house is very beautiful. Our trip was primarily to just relax. We enjoyed sitting on the deck. The upstairs is warm, but with opening the sliding glass doors, it was comfortable. The host was quick to respond when we needed them. The neighbors across the street are very friendly. We definitely plan on returning.
4.7
The only issue with this cabin is the AC does not work well upstairs.
4.7
Red House is the perfect location. Keep the cabin mindset and don't expect perfection. Just enjoy the pines, the hot tub, the solitude, the deer the turkey and the mountain. If you must have new appliances and a pristine air conditioning system go stay at the Hilton. --also you will need to not be picky when it comes to mattresses. Again this is a cabin. We loved it; fancy people may want something newer.

Alhambra is a beautiful, clean and peaceful property.
We enjoyed our stay very much!
The deer, fox and jays were fun to see.

We absolutely loved the cabin! And all the wonderful views ❤️

The cabin was perfect for getaway with kids and grandson. Lots of room to play and enjoy cooler weather.

We enjoyed our stay here. Would recommend bringing your own skillets if you like cooking.

Great cabin!
4.7
You will really enjoy this cabin, sitting on the porch with coffee watching the humming birds and listening to the trees in the wind. We had a great time it’s quiet but also very close to great places to eat and downtown shopping.
4.7
The carpet and windows were filthy. Cobwebs and spiders abound. Pots to cook in were scratched teflon, unheathy to use. Dryer squeeks, dishwasher is rusty. Master bath shower is hard to get in and out of. Screens don't fit..I could go on but you get the idea. This place has a lovely setting and good bones. Maintenence, paint and deep cleaning MUCH NEEDED. Takes real guts to charge for this rental...
Disappointed in Arizona
4.7
It's a wonderful location. We had the @home feeling the second night after we learned the light switches and fireplace start up procedures.
4.7
Overall it was a decent and roomy cabin. No need to use VRBO, just go through Hummingbird and you'll avoid the duplicate work checking in. Neighborhood was nice and quiet. Cabin was clean. The only suggestions for the actual cabin would be to replace the shower heads and thermostat. The thermostat would kick on about 5 degrees colder than the selected temp and shut off 5 degrees over. We probably wont be back to Ruidoso until the city cleans up some. Used to be a decent place to visit, but has gone downhill. Trashy, druggies and dirty people all over. Felt like I was in an episode of the walking dead. Customer service at all of the stores and restaurants was abysmal. If we do ever return, we'd be happy to stay at this cabin if the price was competitive. Most likely will go to Cloudcroft though
4.7
Great place to stay with plenty of room! More of a hotel experience as far as amenities such as soap and such than a home but overall it's beautiful and comfortable.

Family Vacation
We had a great time staying at this property and could not have asked for a better place to stay. It was very easy to find and everything we needed was already there.
4.7
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It feels secluded. We would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to stay.

Amazing Cabin
I have stayed at a few cabins and this one by far has been one of the most comfortable ones. Everything was very clean! Would definitely stay again

This cabin is beautiful! It's location is amazing, and neighbors are close but the cabin feels secluded. We stayed with friends for a couples getaway and this cabin really provided. We enjoyed the hot tub and beautiful views for the deck. This will definitely be a cabin we hope to rent in the future.
