This is a sweet, rustic home in a very convenient location. We chose this property due to the fact that we wanted to be able to walk easily to many locations, enjoy a classic Maine cottage experience, and it also had air conditioning, which we needed for medical reasons. We have had two summers of rentals without it and encountered heat waves, which was hard for our particular family.
It was also our 21st wedding anniversary, so we stayed a full week to spend time as a family with our two teenagers.
Overall, we had a fine stay, and the owner was wonderful and great ahead of our visit and even provided an early check in and restaurant recommendations for our anniversary.
However, we were disappointed by a few things. The unit was not as clean as we would have expected, and it did not have air conditioning in all the rooms. It had two window units upstairs only. The range worked on top, but the oven would shut off when it reached the desired temp. The sheets and towels were also very very old and thoin and we were only given three towels for 4 people. If you are out an about a lot and not sitting much, the furniture is fine. If you are lounging for long periods, the couch is uncomfortable. Overall, with new linens, a more detailed cleaning company, and a quick check of the oven, the unit would be very lovely. The kitchen is adorable, and the rustic feel is authentic. Just needs a little TLC to make this rental quality for others.

True Maine feeling and atmosphere. Comfortable and cozy. Great area to take walks and relax. People we met always friendly.

This was our 2nd stay at this cottage and the backyard fire pit area did not disappoint. The addition of a Solo Stove (we own one at home in Atlanta) was a big plus. The location is great, close enough to walk all over town, beds are comfy, A/C units in bedrooms are a must these days and the kitchen is appropriate for any cooking you might want to do. What could go wrong? Not a thing in our case! Thanks for a great stay.

Boothbay Harbor
Location is fantastic if you want to be near Boothbay Harbor. I was visiting friends in the area and wanted a place of my own to stay. This is a "rustic" older cottage with pros and cons but on balance was a good value.

The place was nice but overpriced
The cottage was cozy and ok for a short trip. Close to everything. However, overpriced by 50%
The bathroom could use a fresh coat of white paint to make it look nicer. The bathroom towels provided were almost rags like. Have a new set of all white towels every so often. Inexpensive from tjmaxx of the sorts.
The bedding provided was super cheap and bed spreads seems to be stained. For a 3 night 4 days stay surpassing a luxury hotel price in a big city for two people I would expect better.
I am a higher critic as I also rent my home in New York and we are subject to higher standard.
By all means the place was ok, but I would not pay what I did, at best is 25% per night for two people

Relaxing
Very easy Renting process. House was very charming. Our favorite part was the awesome fire pit in the back of the house.

Nice and such small cozy cottage
When we arrived, my wife and kids took them couple Of minutes to get out off vehicle. Such different house than we are never stayed or seen. As my wife side “the house looks like that she have seen It in movies”.
After I enter the house that I told them the inside how cleaned and nice is.
It just small but super comfortable clean and very convenient for everything, we’re really loved this place, and Jon is super organized.
Thank you so much.

1800’s School House in Boothbay Harbor
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were close to the town and walked in almost every day. We were also close to other Midcoast towns like Camden, Damriscotta, , Pemaquid, Thomaston, Wiscasset

Great place to stay!
This house is cozy and comfortable. Has everything you need. The best part is it's location on a quiet, one way street close enough to town to walk to everything. The Boothbay area has so many fun things to do. Hiking, kayaking and the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens are not to be missed.

Great Place to Stay in Booth Bay Harbor
This owner is very responsive and a great communicator. The property is rustic but well finished. The kitchen was well equipped with any and all pots, pans, plates utensils and glasses you might need. We had a great tway to me and we had a great experience and would highly recommend.
