I was in communication with the owners via text and they were so sweet and helpful and had great suggestions for any of my questions.
The location was perfect! We walked to coffee every morning and to dinner and downtown. Just quaint and cute!

Comfy beds, good sound proofing and insulation for proximity to freeway. Very well equipped kitchen. We were able to host a spontaneous post-wedding brunch for 10 and had everything needed. Terrific location for meeting up folks in town.

Want to buy the whole lot of the cottages!
Everything was exactly as described and pictured. The only bummer we had involved outdoor noise (we stayed a Sunday-Tuesday) The Post Office which is next door was active. We had a sound machine on in both bedrooms and still could hear them. For some reason they honk constantly. Also since these are next to the highway we couldn't leave the windows open (which let in the wonderful cool night fresh air) because it was too loud. Their windows are great though and do a great job blocking out most of the noise.
The instructions for checkin and fo the stay were excellent and loved the personal reccomendations. Also, they are literally in the best spot if you want to eat and shop. Everything is much closer than stated-which is amazing.
Highly recommend, would stay again-and truly wish we could buy one of them permanently.

Cousins Gathering
We gathered with our family to celebrate, with several of us in three of the cottages. The cottages were perfect despite the winter storm and unexpected power outage.

Exceptional property & location
We loved the Sugar Pine: clean, very well-appointed and a perfect little oasis for our long weekend in Grass Valley. Comfortable beds, nice kitchen, new fixtures throughout the house (we may steal the shower design!), nice outdoor seating. Parking for 2 vehicles alongside. It’s just a 2-block walk to the shopping district (and to the Fable coffee shop!). And you’re in a little community, as the cottages are arranged in a circle with an open common area in the middle. Much preferable to a hotel. I had a couple folks who were staying across the street at the casino hotel stop me while walking nearby and ask about staying here. VERY reasonably priced. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks, Lore!

Relaxing cottage in the foothills
My family of 4 (kids ages 6 & 8) had a fabulous stay in the Sugar Pine Cottage at Creektown Cottages in Grass Valley. The online description and photos were true to their word- a beautiful and relaxing cottage with a kitchen that had everything we needed to prepare simple meals for our kids while my husband and I enjoyed meals from local restaraunts. The cottage was the perfect place to start our day of hiking and fishing in the surrounding areas and then return in the evening for dinner and relaxation on the front porch and common seating/bbq area.
The communication between owner Lore and Jenny was fantastic. They provided great detailed information prior to our arrival that made check-in seamless. Also, Jenny was wonderfully responsive to issues that arose with internet service during our stay.
My family will return for another stay and we highly recommend Creektown Cottages! I am also thinking of returning for a girls trip for a mom's getaway weekend.
Things we did: Hiked the Hirschmann Trail in Nevada City to the pond where my daughters gleefully spent hours skipping rocks in the pond and climbing on rocks, Hiked in Hidden Falls Regional Park (about a 3.6 mile roundtrip hike to the falls) and played in the pools of water, Fished at Todd Valley Pond in Foresthill, shopped & ate in downtown Grass Valley.

Amazing!
I love this place and kind of hate to give it a review because it's all ready booked through Jan and I want to be able to come back. It was beautifully and simply decorated so you could relax. The cottage was super clean and you could even hear the creek out back. It was a short walk to the old downtown which I loved and the bed was super comfortable.I all ready tried to come back and it was booked. Not a surprise!
