Delightful one night stay.

Helpful staff, stunning grounds and spotlessly clean. Delicious breakfast included.

Not really anything to dislike! Google directions didn’t quite lead us to the right place and check in timings can be a bit limited depending on whether or not there’s an event in at the golf club. We found the staff very helpful though in helping us to resolve this.

Treat yourself to something a bit different. Great.

A lovely setting and something a bit different from the norm. Everyone working at the venue who we came into contact with were very friendly, helpful and pleasant. Delicious breakfast.

Minor issues but after checking in had a few moments difficulty working out how to find our room and which exterior door allowed access. TV remote was awol.

One of the best place to stay in the area.

Excellent location and grounds. Great views of the golf course. Well priced food and drink. Our Room had 2 windows and even on a rainy day we could pass time easily in the accommodation. The size of the room compared to to price was very reasonable. There is a common seating area within Dormy House. The only place that we have stayed that we had to drive for breakfast as it was raining. 😊☔

Short weekend stay

Lovely room with nice views and delicious breakfast. Ample parking at the time and staff very friendly. The clubhouse and accommodation areas are very nice.

The signage for Dormy House wasn't the best and I would've preferred a little more detailed instructions regarding checking in, which needed to be done inside the clubhouse.

Fine for a comfy overnight stop

Very welcoming staff especially as we arrived late. Our rooms were very very well cleaned and comfy with a beautiful view of the golf course. Comfortable bed we all slept well. Shower was excellent. Beautiful room for breakfast.

Long wait for breakfast and not as advertised. We were the only guests in the room so why a delay? No fruit or yogurt. We had been warned there was an event at 9 requiring lots of bacon sandwiches so we arrived early. When our food arrived it wasn't quite what we'd ordered and looked as if it had been left on one side. Just needed a tweek to be improved.

Cracking accommodation and well worth a visit

Beautiful club house, great golf course Accommodation was clean and tidy and very comfortable beds. Fantastic breakfast and lovely friendly staff

Slightly out of town and a taxi journey required - around £20 Just wish I had my golf clubs!!!

nice location , not good for business stay

location on a golf course was lovely

breakfast only started at 8.30 so no good for business use Wi-Fi didn’t work in my room so had to sit in kitchenette area to use owner not willing to issue a Vat receipt even though I had requested this on booking .com no food after 5.30 pm

Exceptional value for money, quality location

Lovely modern comfortable room in a separate building on the grounds of the golf club. Extremely peaceful location - our room looked over the pond and the 4th fairway. The included breakfast in the main building was superb. The price of £99 for this was exceptional value for money.

Really not much at all. The TV in the room was tiny - that's about it!

Apart from a few niggles we enjoyed our stay.

The bedroom had windows either end which gave lovely views over the golf course and Woodsome Hall. Very clean with comfortable beds. The shower room although small was more than adequate. Shampoo, shower gel and hand wash was provided. Nice touch was free tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits The cooked breakfast was very good, as was the evening meal Staff were very helpful and friendly Very quiet and peaceful place to stay

Very disappointing buffet breakfast. No freshly baked breads Danish pastries, or fruit bowl which was on the menu. On our first morning I asked for fruit compote , the waitress did find some, about 3 teaspoons! However, the next morning there was a bowl of compote, but no fresh bread, I was offered sliced bread. Not quite the same! No pastries or fruit bowl. It was stated that there was a full housekeeping service daily. We did not have any. We did not feel we needed clean towels after one use so left them on the radiator as requested. As we could not get the radiator turned on the towels were still damp the following morning

The breakfast was very good with the surroundings be an excellent one small point I believe the signs could have been more explicit as you were left floundering around looking for the entrance perhaps this could've been mentioned when booking but very impressed with the surroundings the room and staff I will try to book maybe four or five days when I next visit the area and I will bring my golf clubs thank you Ron Bixley

Exceptional

We’ve just got back from a nights stay and absolutely loved it , it was so warm and welcoming we could of stayed longer , my only issue was the pillows were very hard but that’s just me , fabulous place would love an excuse to come back

I'd stay at Woodsome Hall again, but not room 3.

Location was beautiful, the room was a very good standard.

Unfortunately, room 3 is right next to the entrance. Plus the room access door has a very large gap at the bottom due to an uneven floor, so every noise from the entrance and corridor light turning on absolutely disturbs your sleep. So other guests returning late or early hours of the morning and then those leaving early wake you up, so although a lovely quiet location the ingress and egress of occupants destroyed that.

Beautiful location. Rooms very spacious and comfortable bed. Clean. Staff very helpful and polite.

The dress code is very strict and we couldn't have breakfast or drinks in the bar.

Lovely setting in a historic building, enjoyed the experience.

Nicely cooked full English breakfast, served by lovely attentive staff. The bar area for the evening meal was very cosy, nice atmosphere (again - the friendliness of the staff) made the difference. Evening meal was excellent, good value.

Bedroom and bathroom on suite, could have been a bit larger.

I would recommend Dormy House to anyone, whether they play golf or not

All was delightful. There was a big Golf weekend in progress, of which I was not part, but the Staff and everyone I met, went out of their way to be welcoming and helpful. The beautiful setting was an added delight.

I can't think of anything. Even the weather was good!
