***The restaurant is currently under renovation and the plan is to be open by Memorial Day. If it is behind schedule, Plan B is that Food Trucks will be there on most weekends. Please keep this in mind while booking that Poolside service might not be available yet.)

We are just one short block to the wide, groomed beach and a half mile from the Pointe West Beach Club. The Beach Club Pool and The Sunset Pool with lazy river and hot tubs are open 365 days a year and boast beautiful views of the ocean and the bay. These pools and the golf cart and bike paths are sure to make Pointe West your favorite place to stay on Galveston Island!
We use our home often and keep it well stocked for cooking and entertaining guests.
Just bring your swimsuit and clothes and enjoy our little slice of heaven.
We can direct you where to rent Golf Carts, Kayaks and Bikes should you want to fully experience island life while you are here. You are going to love it! (We also rent our 4-seater Golf Cart, to licensed drivers only, when available.)
***RESORT FEE: Please note that you will need to obtain a wristband and access code from the Pointe West Beach Club to take full advantage of the resort facilities (pools, gym, clubhouse game room, Basketball and Pickle ball courts, restaurant and bar). They charge $25 per guest 4 years old and older for the entire length of your stay. This fee will be paid directly to the club upon registration. *** (You will receive an email from the Pointe West POA to prepay for your wristbands. The primary guest on your reservation will need to show an ID at the Beach Club Office to pick up the wristbands and parking passes.) ***Wristband fees increased to $25/per person in 2023. The Pointe Restaurant & Bar was open Tuesday-Sunday during the Summer and Thursday-Sunday after Labor Day. Closed on Mondays except on Holiday weekends. Make sure you take advantage of their delicious food and fun drinks and enjoy a Live Band every Saturday night in the Summer and often Fridays & Saturdays on the Holiday Weekends. The Pointe West Beach Club is so much fun! There are other activities to enjoy like S’mores, Bingo Nights, Crafts for Kids, DJ’s And Live Bands periodically. Please note that The Pointe Restaurant is totally closed November through February for the Winter Season.

This pool has The Pointe Restaurant and Bar and offers poolside service and live music on Saturday nights in the Summer. 🌅 The Sunset Pool, also known as the Lazy River Pool, is on Estuary on the Far West End of the neighborhood and on the Bay side. Be sure to see a sunset from there! 🥂 This is the BYOB pool as there is not a café there. You can take your own food to both pools if you desire—Just no alcohol to the Beach Club. 🍻🍹
🎣 The largest fishing pier and the kayak launch/mowed entry area for wade fishing are on Bay Water Drive. There is also a fire-pit there. 🛶 🔥
🍦An Ice cream truck comes through Neighborhood and to the Lazy River pool daily during high season. (He does take credit cards.) 🍦
🏀 The Basketball Court is on Cat Tail in Pointe West (Daylight hours only; access with wristband code.) Bring your Basketball. We have one in our beach gear closet and an air pump, but, if you are avid players, you will want your good ball. 🏀
🏓 Pickleball Court is located near the Basketball Court. Reserve your time and rent Racquets in the office. 🏓
⛳️ 🚙 I recommend renting a Golf Cart because it is just fun to have one in Pointe West. We rent our 4 seaters starting at $250/each for a long weekend and up to $400/each for the week (tax included.) If you want a 6-seater, Try K-6 Island Sports or Coastal Cruisers. K-6 also rents kayaks and Stand-up Paddle Boards that you can use on the bay side and in the ocean on a calm day. 🏄♂️ 🛶
🚴 There are bikes for rent for 2 hour intervals from the Beach Club. 🚲

Our beach storage closet is stocked! Chairs, umbrellas, tent, wagon, toys, floats and a couple of child life jackets and puddle jumpers.
🪣 🏖 Please rinse off toys and beach gear on your last day before returning to the closet. We would so appreciate it if you leave the storage closet semi-organized for the enjoyment of the next guests. It can get jumbled in there! 🪣
🧺 We do provide beach towels. Please wash,dry, fold those on your last day to avoid a surcharge. The housekeeper takes care of all other laundry. 🧺
🏝 The beach crossover ramp is at the end of our street about 8 houses away.
🚿 Please rinse off in the outdoor shower when returning from beach. Our furniture and floors and DRAINS do not like that much sand!🚿

This house was amazing! I would recommend it for anyone wanting to stay with their family. It was full of beach toys and cooking supplies. The owner was great with communication. We will stay here again.

The Rosy Spoonbill house was just the perfect getaway for our family. We had plenty of room for everyone and so much is available to use at the house that it made our packing easier. Every balcony had a fantastic view and so relaxing. We used the provided gas grill also while visiting. We had every kitchen item we needed plus a ton more. It’s a very short drive to the Beach club, private beach or public beach access. Response was quick when I had a question. We would love to visit again !

We enjoyed our time in this lovely home with our adult children and our first grandchild. The home had every amenity that we could have asked for. The location was perfect as well. There was plenty of outdoor seating as well as indoor hang out spaces. We look forward to staying again and would most definitely choose this location and home over any other.

Our family enjoyed everything about this property! Courtney - our host, went above and beyond to make our stay special and so fun. The home was equipped with everything you could imagine. We cooked our meals in because of all the little ones and the the kitchen was well stocked with pans, utensils, dishes, cleaners, etc. We were very close to the uncrowded pedestrian beach and the beach closet was loaded with chairs, toys and beach fun for our use. Then if we got tired of the sand, we hopped on the golf cart or in the truck and were two minutes from the beautiful resort with pools and amenities. The beds were so comfy and everything was spotless. This was a perfect location for a family getaway in a beautiful, quiet, and super friendly neighborhood. We can't wait to go back! The house was clean and really well stocked! The kitchen was stocked with all sorts of spices, etc and just about any pan or utensil you could possibly want! They also have a stock of sunblock, etc. My only complaints are that the we had issues locking the front door and that our reservation with the beach club was messed up. Also, just FYI, all bedrooms except the bunk room are downstairs and the kitchen and living area are upstairs. This was a bit of a problem for a family member with some mobility issues but we made it work. The owners were very friendly, accommodating, and reasonably quick to respond to text messages. I recommend this place!

The Rosy Spoonbill did not disappoint! We had some bad weather but the owners were extremely accommodating. They have every streaming service you could want for movies or games. The home was a great layout for our 3 families to comfortably stay and was not lacking in supplies. The golf cart rental was a huge plus and the amenities within the community were so fun. All in all a great stay that we would absolutely do again! Thank you Rosy Spoonbill for a fun summer getaway!

The house was clean, as advertised, well stocked, and we loved having a bathroom with each bedroom.
Courtney was a delight to communicate with and super helpful. I did a girls’ getaway for a few days that led into a multi-generational family trip and the house was perfect for both!
We liked being able to go to the Pointe West pools, the game room, and play pickle ball and basketball.
The house is an easy walk to the beach if your crew is able to walk any distance and/or carry all the things over the boardwalk bridge, which is just down the street. You cannot drive on to the Pointe West beach, but just a quick jaunt down the highway is a drive-on portion. You can drive to the pools via the highway, but in my opinion, a golf cart is easy and fun if you want to go back and forth since they’re on the opposite side of the resort (we rented a cart from Rick’s and had a wonderful experience).
We will absolutely stay here again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Rosy Spoonbill for the Thanksgiving holiday. The home was plenty big enough for 6 adults and 6 children, 8 and under. The home was clean, and the kitchen was stocked with just about everything we needed for meal prep and serving! In addition, they supplied travel cribs for the little ones and a baby gate for safety. It was a short walk to the beach and we enjoyed being able to get to Galveston easily while being 'outside' of all the tourist hustle and bustle. Courtney was an excellent host and responded to all our questions/concerns promptly. We would definitely recommend the home to others and will stay there again when in the Galveston area.

Our entire family had a great time at this house. The beach was enjoyable without the feeling of overcrowded. It was a little bit of a walk down but not too bad. The house was tremendously well-stocked. We have had homes where you have to bring your own cups and plates if you have more than 5 ppl, so this was just such a delight. Everything was taken care of and the hosts were fantastic. They communicated well and were prompt to respond. The porches were nice to sit on in the evening. We always drove to the clubhouse, but it wasn't very far. The hosts even had a packnplay for my 1.5yr old and a stair guard that we could put up for her safety.
Overall - a wonderful stay was had by our entire party. And the hosts made is such an easy and fun trip - cheers to them.
One small note - The upstairs room does get a little warm but they provided some additional fans.

We all enjoyed the house very much! We cooked everyday vice going out. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We got the golf cart which was very helpful when going to the Beach Club. We had a short walk to the beach. The last day we rented a canopy which we asked to be placed behind the Beach Club. It was great!! I would highly recommend this beach house!

Beautiful home! Nicely decorated! EVERYTHING we could need was there! Even plenty of toilet paper & paper towels!! Mattresses comfy, even the twin bunk beds! I slept on bottom w my grandsons on top bunks! Balcony is amazing! Loved the area underneath house, cool breeze, lots of room for kids to run! We had all our evening meals there! Seriously one of the best places we’ve stayed over period of about 10 years of staying at various locations .
Only downer is it’s a good ways to beach, hard for my 86 yo mom to get down to beach, but she did it!! Also, challenging to get all the “beach stuff” down & then take down & bring back in evening. (Beach rules, not owners fault)
The club pool is nice! Just a few min by car or golf cart. The Lazy River/Sunset pool across main road is nice too! Again, car/golf cart takes about 5/10 min, respectively.
Even w the beach being a little challenging to maneuver w all the “stuff” & for “older” folks, & having to ride to the pools, this is BY FAR one of the most fun , nicely decorated, comfortable, amazingly appropriated w all the kitchen utensils, dishes, spices, beach toys, beach wagon, chairs, floats, etc!!! BUT the most wonderful thing was the owner, COURTNEY!! She was terrific, EASY to communicate with, very informative, responded within seconds, and just a polite & enjoyable person to chat with! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Hope to get to go back soon!!! ❤️

This home was perfect for our family of 9!! The home was super clean and the best stocked kitchen I've stayed at! No need to bring a thing with you!! It's a great location to the bridge over to the beach and a quick drive to the Clubhouse pool and lazy river!

The property was gorgeous and fully stocked with everything we could possibly need for a girls trip for a big birthday. J.C and Courtney even left a bottle of Prosecco and waters. We had use of several streaming channels. The decks were especially nice.

Wonderful and roomy house! Had everything you needed for the beach. Renting the golf cart is definitely a must and a lot of fun! Pools were lovely, just a heads up there is a fee for a wristband to use the beach club. Worth the money! Overall a great experience!

We had a great stay last week at this property. The house is absolutely beautiful and very clean. The kitchen is very well stocked and appointed. The hosts were very helpful and responded quickly. My girlfriend and I took our 3 teens and everyone had a great time. The beach clubs are very nice as well and we used them several times.

This property was great! The house suited our group well and was very nicely kept. The beach was a short walk away. The kids enjoyed the hot tub at the lazy river pool, which was just a short drive down the road. Very thankful for the heated pools and hot tub, because the weather did not cooperate the best for our stay!

Great beach rental! Walking distance to beach even with kids. The rental exceeded my expectations. This was the most well stocked rental I have experienced. Spices and baggies in the kitchen and superb beach closet! No need to bring beach toys, chairs or umbrella!! The owner was very easy to communicate with and flexible with check in and out times as they were able. Would love to make it an annual destination!

The Rosy Spoonbill was beautiful and had everything we needed! It’s great location allowed our party of 10 to comfortably spend as much quality time together as we wanted and relax separately on the beach or in the pools at the clubhouse. Courtney and JC are amazing hosts and we’ll definitely be back as soon as possible!!

This is a great rental. Close to the beach, great for the kids, they had their own golf carts. The owners did a great job of communicating and were quick to respond to any questions or comments thrown their way. This house was also probably the best stocked rental I’ve been in in a long time

It was convenient to have the propane grill on the balcony. We were also furnished beach towels. The communication with the host was beyond expectations. If you want a house that has it all, this is the one. The owners were beyond nice. Their goal was for us to enjoy our vacation which we did. The beach is very close. We rented their golf cart which was convenient since it belong to them. The owner checked with us several times to make sure everything was good for us. We have rented houses in Galveston many summers but never had an owner that communicated as well as Courtney and her husband. Thank you Courtney and J.C. for a great beach trip!

Amazing house!
The owner is amazing. She stayed in contact with us numerous times between when we booked it and when we got to the house. The house was beautiful and so functional. The kitchen is on the upper floor which was different but everyone got use to it and it was fine. Our group of 30 were split in three houses around this pond and it worked out so well. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

This beach house and it's location is top notch! Fully updated inside with 4 bedrooms that all had TV's with streaming service. Beds were comfortable to boot. Optional 4 person golf cart was cool. Less than a 10 minute walk to what seemed like our own private beach. The pool club only costs $15 for the week and it had 2 pools to go to. The food at the main club was so good, we had several meals there. We got our groceries from Walmart but a fully stocked grocery store was only 10 minutes away. Balconies were relaxing to hang out on and the grills were top of the line. Even though we have been going to the beach for many years, this was the best beach house we have ever stayed at!

Our extended family (three families of four) stayed here the first week of April and it was lovely! The house was clean, kitchen well stocked, even a few pantry staples were helpful! Each bedroom had a bathroom attached except for the kids bunk room upstairs but that bathroom was just next to it. Multiple decks with comfy seating to relax outside. It was a bonus to have beach toys, a wagon, fishing poles, and even a few bikes and scooters to ride around the safe neighborhood. An easy two minute walk to the sandy beach was a favorite. The pool areas were fun, especially the club with the restaurant, poolside service and game room. The only drawback (although thoroughly described) is that it was a 25 minute each way run for groceries. Just play ahead and the beautiful area and quiet end of town is worth it. The owners were very helpful and very responsive. No issues while we were there but when I asked a question, they were responsive and kind. As long as you can handle stairs...this is an excellent choice for your vacation!!
