A wonderful house that’s modern clean and very safe. Amazing views of the bay, loads to do and close enough to plenty of decent restaurants just a short drive away. Our expectations were exceeded by this property.

I should say first, this was the year of rain and the mosquitoes were intense. Definitely bring bug spray (lots of it!!)! The home was as described! It had everything you need for your stay! Just bring your food, cloths and family you will be good to go! Great air conditioning, comfortable beds and all of our crew was more than comfortable. The kids loved taking the kayaks in the canal/bay. The owner was very easy to communicate with and very accommodating. Thanks so much for sharing your home!

Spacious house with plenty of room. Well equipped inside and out. Fishing was great off the dock. Would definitely stay again.

Overall very cool place. Went down for qa fishing trip and we were not disappointed, we were able to fish sun up to sun down and were constantly on fish. My one complaint is that it was a bit of a drive if we needed to go back into town bit thats a very minor complaint

Everything as described. Great host.

This is our second time stayong at this amazing beach house the new renovations are absolutely stunning. Will be going back again next year.

This is a great house for older kids! Our youngest is 5 and oldest 13. The kayaks were a big hit. There were enough for everyone to get out on the water in a safe area. Plenty of life jackets for sizing. The bikes and skateboards would have been great but they all had wheel problems. There was still plenty of stuff to keep everyone entertained. The house is beautiful and laid out nicely. The kitchen was well stocked to cook. It was clean. The beds weren’t the most comfortable but they were ok. We thoroughly enjoyed the outside patio and decks. They were large with lots of sitting areas. The house was perfect for our family!

We had a wonderful time! The house was stocked with all of our needs. Thank you for allowing us to stay!

We loved this house! Great location with access to fishing, kayaks and close drive to the beach! The AC was a gem during the hot summer.. not all houses have a great AC so that was huge bonus! Kitchen was fully stocked and plenty of beds for 4 adults + 3 kids. Would highly recommend this property :)

This was our first time staying at a house in the canal and it was so much fun! My kids enjoyed fished off the dock, along with swinging over the water. The location is near Terramar Beach, which is about 25 minutes or so from the Seawall. It was nice to be out of the busy Seawall area, but still only a three minute drive to the beach. The house was older, but we’ll updated and very clean. It was well-appointed and Zim was very responsive and accommodating. If you’re thinking about booking this property, I’d highly recommend doing so! We hope to be back!

The beach house and surrounding areas were beautiful. The whole experience was great, with a lot of exciting things to do. I was able to enjoy a great summer vacation with my grand children, without them complaining. I will be back 😁

Great stay. We enjoyed the beautiful house with a huge master suite that had views from front and back from the upper story. We enjoyed our evenings on the patio deck and loved the swings. We fished from the dock and access our boat. Communication with the owner was great and very prompt. We look forward to staying again in the future.

Overall pretty good experience.
The house was way more worn down on the outside than the photos look. Lots of rust and rotten boards on the deck and loose handrails and decking.
The fridge and freezer were not working properly. We had Ice cream and popsicles that would not freeze and the fridge kept reading 55 degrees.
The owner did come out but said there was nothing wrong with it but our food was barely cold and freezer would not freeze.
The beds in the bunk room were pretty uncomfortable. The large bunk had the old spring mattress on it and the springs were pushing up so hard you could not sleep on it.
Lots of extra activities offered.
Great location on the bay and quiet great neighborhood.

Inside was definitely clean & comfortable, but us being older we could not use the front entry stairway because no railing partway up and steepness of stairs. Was a little disappointed with no night light in the canal as shown in pictures but had a fantastic time anyway. The owner was very nice and responded to our questions quickly ! Thank you for a beautiful vacation house! I can not express how clean the interior was! That meant allot to all of us!

My husvand and i celebrated out wedding anniversary that weekend. The house was beautiful. We loved it

House is just as listed. Kitchen well stocked, plenty of room. Super clean. The best part for us was the porch with ample seating and gorgeous view of water. Owners were fabulous to work with.
4.9
Kitchen is lightly equipped. Keeping utensils and dishware cleaned and available for 6 people over the day was a stretch. Hosting 10 people there at a time would have been daunting. Pots and pans need updating. Get rid of damaged teflon pans, increase quantity of both serving and eating utensils and upgrade to full set of knives.
Loved the set up and location. Beds were comfortable except for the bunk bed mattresses.
4.9
The place was great. The main level deck was perfect. The swings on that deck was great.
Listing stated 3 bathrooms, its really 2 inside with a shower outside.
Cookware needs to be updated, but everything else was good.
37 minutes to The Strand - downtown Galveston. Which was both a pro and a con. The house was nice and peaceful.

This property had so many amenities for me and my friends. The host provided so many fun things, so even on cold days there’s plenty of stuff to do on the property. This house was perfect for us, extremely clean and the host was great to work with! We will definitely be back!

We had a great time staying at zimply paradise. The home was clean spacious and well stocked for everything we needed. The main bedroom beds were super comfortable and the sheets felt like clouds. The kids beds in the bunk room were a bit worn out and my kids said they weren’t very comfortable, but they still slept well. The house had tons of fun things for the kids to do especially since it rained almost the whole time we were there. I look forward to coming back when we can utilize the beautiful decks and the bay.

Everything was amazing, Zim the host was excellent at communicating we had a wonderful time!! Will definitely plan future trips here!

I reached out to the owner with the safety concerns that my family and I had. In return I was told that the house was very safe, and nothing was done in reference to the opportunities.
1) The hand railing leading upstairs from the 1st level to the second level was not anchored to the ceiling nor to the floor. It was held together at the joint with electrical tape. It was extremely loose and dangerous.
2) There was something white baked into the bottom of the oven. We were not sure if it was a toxic substance like a cleaning spray. The owner explained the next day that it was foil that was cooked into the bottom of the oven. We were confused as to the spill did not like foil. It was white.
3) The top screws on the porch swing appeared to be coming out of the beam above. The swing could potentially fall causing severe injury to someone. We were told that the screws could not be screwed further into the wood because the wood was very hard.
4) The main floor bathtub leaked water where the shower door and tub meet. It appears that the caulking needed to be replaced. We were told to move the shower head.
5) There was a double rocker/bench on the deck that should have been removed some time back. It was rotten along the back, seat, and feet. It had recently been painted instead of being removed. It was extremely dangerous if someone accidently sat on it without noticing the damage. We were told that it was known that the item needed to be removed but there had not been any time to do so.
6) The sleeper sofa in the living room could not be used as a bed. The frame was extremely bent. It was an ordeal trying to return it into the sofa position because of the frame being bent. No reason for the outage was offered by owner.
When I expressed our concerns to the owner it appeared that these were all new things that were being brought to light. She stated that "no one had ever had an issue with the house".
"The property is safe."
I can understand that with rental property not everyone takes care of your property. I could overlook one or even two of these things for that reason. A list this long is not acceptable. The railing should have been addressed immediately upon me bring it to the attention of the owner. That is extremely unsafe. As it stands, we did not see the owner, nor did we receive at minimum an apology for ALL the opportunities.

Had a great stay over Labor Day weekend. Description is spot on and the home is better in person than pictures We have used VRBO in USA and abroad. This is one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed.
Thanks so much for sharing your home!

We really enjoyed our stay at Zimply Paradise. The house was really spacious, comfortable beds, nice patio and deck. Fun kayaks and beach chairs. I didn’t realize just how far away it was from town but in the end that’s what we loved about it. I just had to make another drive into town for a groceries. We loved the quiet area and the sunset views across the street were amazing. We rented a golf cart to go to the beach. It really was a wonderful vacation!

Beautiful Home Near The Beach
Unfortunately, I couldnt go because my wife became ill before the trip, but my sons and their families did attend. According to them , the accommodations were excellent. The outside deck was large and could accommodate a good number of people without feeling overcrowed.
