Prachtig hotel op een prachtig eiland! Enorm behulpzaam en altijd bereikbare staf. Goed ontbijt.
3.0
- Auswahl beim Frühstück (keine Wurst, kein Käse, als Brot nur Toast/Vollkorntoast);

Kind staff, good breakfast, perfect location.
Good amenities and services.
To be definitively recommended.

Villa was beautiful, spacious and clean.

the rooms and hotel are really stylishly decorated. the staff were also so accommodating - they picked us up from the ferry and also drove us to our next stay. I also left my bag in their car and they returned it really quickly- so great service!
it’s obviously not on the beach but that wasn’t a problem as it’s a short walk and the pool is lovely. there isn’t a restaurant on site (they do room service but you have to order in advance and we were too late for it).

Overall, we liked our stay at SamSam Yao Noi.
We really liked the property, its location on a hill, very close to nature, and we love that, we also loved its design, as a project, the art on the property and size of the suits. It was really nice to wake up with the sound of nature. The property has a good size gym and offered complementary bikes to go around, however, myself as a short person, I couldn't use it. They also had scooters to rent directly from reception, very accessible as value. Everything was cleaned properly, daily. The pool was with mineral water and that was nice. We loved the room speaker Bang & Olufsen, we used it daily. The room has split A/C and ventilators. The staff were really nice and helpful, they really went the extra mile, when we needed. They speak English and that was great, not everywhere in Thailand they do, fluently. Food was good. The location of the property is ok, near the beach and some restaurants around it. We simply walked around. They have board games you can play, they have Archery and they can arrange cinema night on demand
We stayed in South of Thailand, in about 9 other hotels, which were not all 5 stars, as SamSam Yao Noi, and yet, were way better in terms of value, services and facilities.
Let's say I was expecting more from this 5 stars property, but I felt a bit disappointed for the value paid and for what it offered in terms of facilities and services...
The property doesn't have a proper restaurant, and you can order, not later than 5 or 6pm. The food ordered from their menu, was good. The breakfast was poor in options, honestly. When compared with other hotels (4 stars) they where half the cost, higher luxury, higher services and facilities compared to SamSam Yao Noi. They were also understaffed and however, we understood that...
The pool was not so big and the position was a bit weird compared to other hotels. Also not to many chaiselongs at the pool, but was not to busy.
The bathroom had a horrible sewage smell, that was so bad... even with bathroom door closed, we couldn't sleep because the smell was too much. It's often a problem in most Thailand, we experience it in other places...
Another thing was, that we had no body lotion in the bathroom and no conditioner. Only shower gel and shampoo.
The suits don't have a TV and also no phone in the room but for us that wasn't a issue. Communication happened through whatsapp.

Sam Sam is a superb resort on a great island. The suite we were in was huge with very high ceiling and very comfortable beds. The staff was super helpful, arranging complimentary pick up from the pier and transfer to our next hotel. We could use free bikes to cycle around the island and rent motorbikes too. We wish we had stayed for longer!
Everything was great.

it looks amazing. also appreciated the privacy
it’s a bit remote from main road, but nothing of great impact. you can even walk to the Pasai beach if you are not in a hurry

such an amazing and peaceful place to stay, the buildings, plants and landscaping is beautiful and it was so relaxing. the staff were so friendly and always happy to help. the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the selection of art made it very unusual. a short walk to beach and restaurants, or easy to hire a ped from SamSam :)
nothing!

This place is a small piece of heaven on earth! it’s beautifully designed, furnished and equipped, the surroundings are tranquil and natural. The staff are extremely helpful - can’t do enough for you, nothing is too much trouble.

The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The pool of our bangalow was amazing and the view unforgettable. The hotel is an art gallery. one of the best boutique hotels I’ve stayed.
mixed feelings about the breakfast : Good options for oriental style but no much for occidental breakfast….
one topic nothing to do with the hotel : careful when renting a scooter (helmets are generally not available and the conditions of the scooters are poor and dangerous)

Felt like a quiet escape from the busy Phuket life. With a shared pool available till late and very large rooms to self, felt like a wonderful place to retreat. Breakfast was catered to your choices, great mountain bikes available for borrowing, staff tried their best to accommodate your requests. staff reached out through WhatsApp to help book ferry over!
Come with bug sprays- it’s a island, quite expected and we knew it beforehand. take note there are quite some stairs too, staff was great to help with moving our luggage.

absolutely everything!
my only regret is that there is no common area to go drink a coffee or something. the shared pool is nice but it’s really not a space to do that.

The location is nice. On a hill. We had the sea view, and the view is really great. The location was quiet, a bit off the main street, which we liked. The bungalows were spacious and well equipped. All felt relatively new, fresh, clean. Nice interior, Nice mix of modern and traditional art. Not imposing or weird, really very tasteful. Staff was friendly and helpful, when around (9am-5pm). The few items that the hotel organized for us (cooking lessons at minas-cooking-classes, the transfer to the jetty, bicycles for an afternoon ride, were all done quickly and effectively without any problems.
Yes, the place was marketed as "Andaman Magic & Art Villas", so I guess, one could assume that it was not a hotel with all facilities. And yes, the fact that it was low season did probably not help the situation, but having no restaurant on premise or even nearby? And the food that was served in the Villa (if ordered before 5pm) usually being lukewarm or cold by the time it arrived in the villa was really sobering, and the prices for the food were really high for the simple fare we got. For dinner, we ended up going to Cape Kudu Hotel about 2km away, which has an excellent kitchen and nice staff, hot food at a lower cost. Eventually we even skipped the breakfast that was included and preferred to go to Cape Kudu also for that, as the food was in such stark difference to the nice location and villas. The second problem with the concept is in my view, that the reception is only open from 9am-5pm, before or after that you are on your own. Communication during the day was through whatsapp with fairly quick responses, and the receptionist was helpful and friendly when on duty, but after office hours, there was no service to be had. So, we had to plan ahead, if we might want a beer or a coke or something to nibble in the evening, because one had to order it before 5pm. We ended up doing our own groceries in a local store. Again, for that price, I was hoping for a better service, and to be honest, I think under facilities, the reception hours should have been mentioned (as a limitation).

It was an absolutely beautiful place to stay with a fantastic location. The staff were all so kind and helpful! The private pool was just the perfect size for our family to enjoy
