The Sail Loft is a lovely pub, lovely staff and really good breakfast.
I was staying at the Sail Loft with my 4 month old daughter. The room was lovely and they provided me a travel cot for her which was great. My only issue was that the room they gave me was over the kitchen and vents that hummed.

Location, view from room 5.
Communication from hotel staff via text and phonecall.
No breakfast or restaurant, not the hotel fault as they rang me to explain this.
Booking.com still advertising as breakfast included but it’s not due to flood damage in the restaurant which is closed.
4.1
Good location. Close to beach, town and harbour

it’s a hidden gem. All the 5 rooms are nice. ok it’s a tad away from the centre, but only a few minutes walk. Breakfast great. + if you are lucky parking as well!!
nothing really

Great view from our spacious room 4, lovely bathroom and a nice modern building. Really nice helpful staff and free parking in their own small car park. Interesting food and breakfast menu.
A little way out on the edge of southwold which would normally be fine but it was quite rainy on the weekend of our visit. Otherwise a great place to stay.

The view, the proximity of the sand and sea, the outdoor space.

Nothing! It was difficult to fault anything.

Great location just outside of Southwold with ease of access to the harbour as well. Easy going staff and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was very good and the food overall was excellent
Floor was a bit creaky. Not a problem for us but hope the people beneath were OK !

location
Abit run down, our room was next to diner below so extraction fans outside our windows were noisy and smelt of food at times. Diner below poor food for the money, in need of a deep clean.

The room was surprisingly spacious with a nice simple but attractive decor. the shower was excellent. The restaurant had an interesting menu and the prawn risotto was divine. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Nothing. You overlook water meadows on one side and a sea bank on the other with the sea a few meters beyond that. great location. Have booked my next stay already

Not value for money,no heating in room,no evening meal available had to get in car again and travel to town centre but because of location ,had to visit several places before getting a table? Restaurant being closed was not mentioned whilst booking,Paid for breakfast started at 0930? Well away by then

The staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was comfortable and quiet and as described. The view was peaceful and tranquil. The bedding was clean and crisp. The pillows and duvet were excellent quality. We had a very good night's sleep and a wonderful break which was just what we needed. We would stay again. Thank you to the staff.
I would have like clean towels on the second day as we stayed for 2 nights and would have liked the tea, coffee sachets replenished in our room after the first day. Water was supplied on the first day but not replaced on the second day. The evening meal was OK. Standard pub fayre really. The breakfast, however, was included and very good and the chef accommodated us when we asked for items not on the menu. Very nice staff.

Location was fine.
The bed could have been cleaner it felt like there was a thin layer of sand in the sheets which wasn’t very nice. It felt gritty.

Nice room and good breakfast

Lovely warm, clean and spacious room. Bed very comfortable. Location great, just a short walk into town but only a few steps on to the beach.
4.1
Our breakfasts were very nice and freshly prepared, our room was comfortable and well appointed with a great view over surrounding farmland
We chose the Sail Loft because it had on-site parking and a restaurant. However, on arrival when we enquired about booking a table for dinner we were informed that the restaurant didn’t open on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday evenings.
There is no mention of this on the website or in any of the communications we received from Booking.com.
We therefore struggled to find somewhere else for an evening meal among the somewhat limited options in Southwold itself.

The room was clean and the bed was most comfortable.
The location was ideal.
Easy access to the beach and into the centre of Southwold.
Overall i liked everything. The restaurant in the evening lacked a little atmosphere but it was mid week !
The breakfast which was included was delicious both days

It was on the beach and close to town.
door squeaked a bit.
