Another fabulous stay at The Convent Hotel. Comfortable room with stylish decor. Great restaurant and bar.
4.4
Breakfast was not available.
The hotel is a renovated convent so it is compact with very limited parking. For older travellers, the stairs to access the second floor would be a barrier.

That Ada resturant was SO good and on site
Parking across the road with torrential rain

Beautiful serene space, very quiet and super comfortable bed.
Squeezy in the bathroom sink area, needs a little shelf to the side to out bits and pieces on

Would have been nice to have some brochures on local bars & restaurants + attractions in room.

Comfortable, quiet and interesting history and decor.
Ada restaurant attached is excellent.
Breakfast not available, free parking advertised but limited to first come first served.

Bed was comfortable.
Beds weren’t made daily, no coffee or breakfast in the morning.

I absolutely adored everything about this unique hotel. The room was large and well-equipped, the kitchen was super-cute, the beds were incredibly comfortable, the staff were fabulous and the cool decor is to die for. Cocktails in the bar were awesome and dinner downstairs in Ada was sublime!! <3
It was perfect!

The newness of the oldness.
I was promised that a receipt would be emailed to me but it wasn't. Had to ask twice for it.
4.4
The character and charm of the old building. Easy access to bus route to Downtown Ferry Wharf.
Whilst there were aircon outlets in our room they did not appear to be working. Room was stuffy without opening windows. with windows open traffic noise was an issue. The room was very small and had no fridge. Tip: The independently owned in house restaurant is high dining, very expensive and has a limited venue. It is a short walk to the Surry Inn across the road.

gorgeous boutique style that makes it stand out over any other accommodation we’ve stayed at in Auckland - love the soap, shampoo etc fixed in the shower- comfy beds and love the free snacks!
the shower head is not the greatest when you’re a lady not wanting to wash you hair or get it wet, minor and able to be navigated but could be helpful to include shower caps for this reason?

Love that this place offers something different, the Ada restaurant which is within the building is excellent!
The lovely staff member at reception was excellent also, such fantastic service. We would recommend to others and stay again ourselves.
No breakfast provisions or a facility to have breakfast on site.
No refrigerator.

Onsite restaurant and bar closed. Tight parking for larger car. no way to adjust temperature of the room and no fridge!

Delightful, quirky decor, interesting history Lively room with balcony (actually a small ground level terrace with small garden filled with flowering plants). Staff were friendly and ver helpful.
Located some distance from amenities. 20 minute walk to Ponsonby. Small local village of Grey Lynn has very few cafes. Need a car to get around.
