We really enjoyed our stay at the Snug, the property was spotlessly clean, comfortable and accessibility was very good.
We enjoyed the quality treats in the welcome hamper, the best we have ever had!
The bed was very comfortable, the shower was great and we enjoyed spending time in the little garden, which was a real sun trap when the weather was good.
Accessibility is sometimes a little difficult for me but there are no steps into the property from the parking space and one shallow step from the bedroom to the kitchen. A step out into the garden was manageable but the deck, although a perfectly normal height for most people was a bit high for me but there was room on the lower level to put one of the comfortable garden chairs, so I was able to enjoy using the space and watching the birds and squirrel.
The kitchen is quite small, there is freezer space you can use in an outhouse. It's suitable for preparing light meals but equipment is limited but having the dishwasher was great. We found great places to eat out in the evening and for breakfast, so it wasn't an issue for us.
Lots to do in the area, we visited some great gardens and the coast.
We would recommend a stay at this peaceful retreat.

My husband and I enjoyed a 3 night break at The Snugg, Ellingham, near Ringwood. It was a very relaxing place to stay and it had been decorated and furnished to a very high standard. The bed was so comfortable and the linen and towels were of very high quality. There is a little courtyard garden where we sat out and enjoyed watching various birds visiting the feeder. We were left a very nice welcome hamper and the owners even asked us what type of pillows/duvet we would like. Great thought is put into making sure their guests have a lovely stay and we sure did! Thank you!

We recently stayed at The Snug in the New Forest for two nights, and it was an absolute delight. The cottage exuded warmth and coziness, with its immaculate and tastefully decorated interior. Every corner was spotless, reflecting the care and attention to detail by Kim, the host. The thoughtful touches, like a selection of essential food items, added to the homely feel. The log burner created a romantic ambiance, perfect for snuggling up on chilly evenings. Situated in a great location, we were able to explore the beauty of the New Forest effortlessly. Overall, our stay was nothing short of wonderful, and I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone seeking a peaceful and idyllic getaway.

We’ve visited 4 times and each time is simply perfect. Everything is pristine with so much thought and care put into every finishing touch from the gorgeous interior to the thoughtful hamper on arrival. Beautiful during the day with the sunshine pouring through and cosy at night with the warm toned lights and lovely fire. We can’t wait to return again, our home from home!

A really nice annex in a beautiful location . We were very impressed by the quality of the furnishings and the property . There was a small but gorgeous little garden and the bird feeder was a hit for us . We kept it topped up ourselves because it was addictive to see so many every day . Other wildfire spotted from the living room included deer and foxes . Hosts were very discrete , friendly and respectful of privacy and a lovely hamper was provided on arrival . We even used the log fire on a cold and wet day because it created such a nice atmosphere . The area is lovely here and this was a great little place to stay for a couple . Thank you to the owners for their care and attention sorry it took us so long to write the review !

WOW, the cottage looked exactly like the pictures, if not better. Good quality fixtures and fittings. Lovely big towels & gorgeous bedding. There was every thing you need for a short break, including a warm welcome from the host Kim and a super welcome hamper, again with quality products. There were logs with which to light a fire to sit & enjoy the Prosecco left for us & a cute outside seating area which caught the afternoon sun. We would love to return sometime, longer than for just 2 nights.

Absolutely gorgeous!! There’s nothing not to love and everything to enjoy! Kim was the perfect host with excellent communication and so friendly on our arrival along with clearly taking the utmost pride in this beautiful property. Everything is high end whilst maintaining a really homely feel. Every attention to detail has been well thought out. Gorgeously comfortable bed and fabulous linen along with a choice of duvet and pillows. Everything was spotlessly clean and the garden was very pretty with lots of birds visiting. The welcome hamper was so well thought out and the chilled Prosecco was a lovely touch! Loved the quirky decorative touches, especially the toucan in the cabinet containing drinks glasses.Wonderful selection of books to browse and plenty of leaflets depicting places to visit locally. Perfect place for a chilled out break, the best we’ve stayed at and we will most definitely be back!! Thank you so, so much Kim😊

Got to the snug with ease thanks to directions from Kim. When we arrived we were welcomed by Kim which was lovely and very imformative, she put us at instant ease. Nothing was too much trouble.
The welcome hamper we had was very generous and greatly appreciated. The little enclosed outside garden was lovely along with plenty of little feathered friends to keep us entertained.
You cannot fault the property, spacious, clean and homely, literally a home from home. We would not hesitate to book again as the location was great for us aswell. Ease of access to the new forrest, and of course the seaside which myself and my partner love!
Fab host and property!

An incredibly comfortable week staying at the Snug. Just right for a couple. Very friendly hosts (not intrusive, just as it should be, we knew they were on hand if we needed anything). Standard of fixtures and fittings very high. Freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer easily accessible in an outbuilding. Tranquil outside space for chilling out in the evening. Parking at the front made it easy to bring in luggage. Welcome hamper was very useful. Five minutes drive to Waitrose in Ringwood. Great location for: walking the Avon Valley Path; drives and walks in the New Forest; pubs and restaurants; castles and stately homes; pretty villages; things to see and do in Salisbury and Christchurch; boat trips (Christchurch Quay to Mudeford beach and walking back via Hengistbury Head is a lovely trip). Highlight of our week was taking the ferry over for a day trip to the Isle of Wight - we went as foot passengers, hopped on and off the ‘Needles Breezer’ bus ride, and walked Tennyson Down, well worth doing when the weather is good. We were lucky it was sunny and warm the whole week and the accommodation was the icing on the cake.

Beautiful little getaway, immaculately designed and decorated, with a lovely outdoor patio. Everything we needed was provided including breakfast provisions.
Setting is peaceful and not far to New Forest walks and location pubs. With an excellent host we would not hesitate to recommend.

Our hosts Kim and Nigel provided a warm welcome to a cozy, well-appointed cottage with everything done to the highest standards. The private beautifully designed sun deck was our favourite retreat. The location was perfect close Ringwood, the New Forest and the coast, yet far enough off the road to experience only peace, quiet and songbirds. Our hosts were very helpful in providing information and maps to all the local attractions. We would go back anytime.

An absolutely beautiful stay, both in terms of property and location. So peaceful and quiet. The property was outstanding, so comfortable and Kim was such a kind and lovely host. There was a wonderful hamper of breakfast items which was such a lovely and thoughtful touch. There are beautiful walks just minutes from the property with guide books in the property. I can’t recommend this place more highly. I am so glad we found it and would thoroughly recommend it.

The pictures don’t disappoint. This is a tidy, spacious, well stocked retreat with modern appliances, a hotel quality bathroom / shower, sumptuous wide bed and a toasty log burner. We were treated with a welcome hamper, Prosecco and our choice of bedding (feather down or man-made). It’s in a quiet crook tucked off the main road next to a church, and well situated to hike and bike the New Forest. We’ll be back.

Stayed 4 fabulous nights at the Snug; a perfect base for exploring the delights of the New Forest, or just for lounging around enjoying the peace & quiet, if you’re feeling lazy.. guilty on both counts! The owners couldn’t have been more helpful & informative, and the accommodation was spotlessly clean & well thought out. An easy 5 stars & highly recommended.

Absolutely first class accommodation, beautiful, exactly like the online photos, you won’t be disappointed with the impeccably decorated Snug and not a speck of dust in sight. Kim and Nigel are thoughtful hosts, nothing too much trouble, on hand when needed without being intrusive; upon arrival we found a thoughtful basket of goodies, of pastries, bread, cereal, coffee, tea, juice and sparkly in the fridge, wow amazing. The Snug is ideally located for visiting The New Forest, which is a 10 minute drive from the house, plus it’s not far from many beaches including Bournemouth, Poole to name but two. Also lovely walks from the doorstep. We will definitely visit again, ASAP. Home from home but better.
