The location was great . I feel the price was a little high but not horrible . This was our family first vacation together 10 adults and two kids .We have been planning this trip for a long time and over the years with three of us being in the military and my parents age and accommodation need such as a room with no stairs and kids in school it took several years to get a matching schedule 1.first day we walked in the house and it smelled.we spent a couple hours cleaning both kitchens. This is were the smell was coming from . And we would be spending most of our time . 2.The rooms was ok closets had no room to store clothes the clothes was cluttered with different stuff. The property over and location was great . Not in the center of things but a short walk or stumble away from a great time. 3.Night two while all gathering in the kitchen area my said she saw a big . But we couldn’t find it , minutes later I saw a big on the couch pillow . I used my phone flash to examine the bug . Google the bug and I was a bed bug.I was can the couch and realize there was several on the furniture which we had been sitting on for a second day.we made attempts that night to reach someone so we could just tell them we would like a refund and we were going to leave. 4.the next day the owner did reach out to me and actually offered another property. But it wasn’t near our desired area we paid to be in ..the owner gave us half of our money back so I will do only a half of a review .

Stayed with our large family for SCAD graduation so we used all 4 levels. It looks set up to rent the two top and two bottom levels. The home was well appointed with coffee maker. Some cleanliness details for toaster and oven were needed. Good thing we didn’t need to cook. Two kitchens were great for the occasion since we brought in most perishables. A different solution to the spiral staircase is needed. It’s awkward going through the bedroom downstairs and going outside if you don’t want to use them. My 83 yr old MIL was with us. Be advised that some of the queen beds are more like a day bed and the twin is a trundle. This doesn’t work for most adults sharing a room. Fortunately we were family. The middle bunk is hard to get in unless you’re a small child. The location was excellent. We walked mostly everywhere and being able to park our cars in back was a plus. I would’ve like to hear from the host well before arrival. I paid and besides a thank you for booking email I heard nothing. I sent a message with a few questions and I got nervous when I didn’t hear back for a while. It is a two way trust relationship. I get it. The description said we would hear a week before arrival and when that didn’t happen I reached out. I was super nervous as it was my first time paying so much for a place I haven’t seen and hosting my family. I was relieved upon arrival to see that the place was so nice. Lots of stairs though so you will get a workout if using the whole house.

What a wonderful experience being able to get together with my team under one roof to plan out the coming year. Ease of access to downtown restaurants and two full kitchens that allowed us to cook breakfast made it the perfect choice. Outstanding service and facilities!

For the most part this home suited our group well, as there were 8 of us and we each had our own room. The location was superb, with easy walking to every area we were interested in. It is a lovely old house with a lot of charm. We were also happy we were some distance from all the activity and night life in the River area, as it quiets down at night on Oglethorpe. We did feel the description of the house was lacking in some important ways. Although there were 9 bedrooms, one of them was very tiny (twin bed, no room for even a chair) and included a noisy furnace so very uncomfortable. Another of the rooms had a three tier bunkbed with very little clearance between the bunks, so although we had to use this room, the bunk was not appropriate for an adult. All of the other rooms were comfortable but there needs to be some updated maintenance. For instance: one of the rooms had a mattress on end that filled the only closet, in which the clothing rod was on the ground, so no place to hang any clothes. Another of the rooms had a 4 poster bed but one of the posters was off so it was in effect, a 3 poster bed....weird! One bathroom sink had men's whiskers sprinkled through the sink. Some of the bathrooms had no hand soap. It would have been helpful if each bedroom had a chair of some sort in it, as most of the bedrooms had room for this. Another feature that we feel was important to mention is that 3 of the bedrooms are accessible only by an extremely steep and very narrow metal spiral staircase. There was no way to pull a full size suitcase up these stairs and it would be a dangerous feature for either young children or the elderly. The house is made up of 4 floors, so be prepared for that. There is not a pleasant outdoor area on property, as was suggested in the description. The back "patio" was unkempt and on the back alley where all the garbage cans were lined up. The kitchen and living area that are on the main level facing Oglethorpe were very comfortable and had a lovely view of Colonial Park. The kitchen was well equipped for our purposes. Overall we enjoyed both the house and the excellent location.
