Overlooking the river we watched the ships come down
Nothing really

We were going n the top floor, facing the river! The room was very large, comfortable and had the best coffee!
There wasn’t anything I would change.
9.0
I loved that the rooms were sizable, comfortable and very cozy! They were modern and sleek, the name on the TV at check in was a cute touch and having youtube/netflix on the TV saved some extra headache connecting laptops for movies or shows at night! The rooms were clean and cozy, the staff was very friendly and always greeted us and legitimately made the stay one of the best vacations we've taken so far!
Free breakfast is definitely a bonus, it was super fresh gives you plenty of time to make it. We were always early so didn't see much of a crowd but I imagine that it gets a little crowded later.
The $45 required valet parking. As much as the security and flexibilty of it was nice, if I hadn't booked the cancellation allowed rate, I would have cancelled after seeing that and missed out on the wonderful stay. It's a little excessive. While I'm not against it, I would be more likely to leave a larger tip directly to the valet had it not felt like such a burden on the additional huge chunk to my vacation budget. Either a lower price or give us optional free parking nearby somewhere.

It was very clean. Everything you need in the rooms. The staff were extremely nice and gracious. Nice RTB and pool area. Great breakfast. Right on the river. It was a wonderful stay!!
I had to leave!
9.0
The breakfast was very good.
Everyone was so nice and friendly over the entire hotel.
The concierge, Sheila, was exceptional!
I didn't particularly like that in the suite, everything was in one room. I expected the beds and the sofa tho be in different rooms.

The location was good
There is an active construction site 20 feet from my window. 8am on a Saturday they were operation gas powered masonry saws and hammering.
The mattress is worn out and the comforters were anything but comforting.
The pool is not heated and too cold to enjoy it the evening.
Breakfast was bland.
The shower leaks water all over the floor every time we used it.

Very close to all shops and restaurants. No complaints on location!
Parking was 45 dollars a day when it should be free for hotel guest. Seems just another way to make free money. Also there was a roof top tax by the pool when getting a drink.

Staff was amazing all the way around my room was very clean
There was no safe in the room and the roof top bar charged me 31 dollars for a drink and I had 2 and didn’t realize the cost until I received a detailed receipt on my email

Beautiful and SUPER CLEAN. Great location! The staff was super friendly. The breakfast was top knotch for a free breakfast and greatly appreciated! The staff in the restaurant was so nice especially Ms. Spring! If u go there she is a doll!
Parking was kind of far and it rained and car almost got flooded but they do have valet for 45 a night.

The property was very nice, roof top bar was great, rooms were super clean.
The description of our room was misleading. It read as if we would have 2 beds and a pull out couch. That was not the case. The staff was very nice but frustrated with booking.com for the description. The made it right to the best of their abilities, but it was super frustrating on both ends.

Location was great if you like to see both the river and also have quick access to historic district. Pool in the morning was quiet and had great view of the river. Staff was great, especially the concierge lady, super informative!
Coffee machine was broken one morning and just left a sign. I've been at other hotels where this has happened and they bring in coffee from outside store.

Room was clean. Beds & pillows comfy. We also enjoyed the rooftop bar.
We liked it all.

Beginning with checking in, Ms. Kellie and Ms. Regina made the experience welcoming, warm, and friendly. I checked in early and they gave excellent recommendations for food and things to do. They were good ambassadors for Savannah and Homewood Suites!
Breakfast was also surprisingly good. The staff were also very kind and accommodating. The staff - Tashell, Spring, Karla and Steven were awesome!
I didn't like paying for the early check in (25.00, I think). But I paid it so I could get into my room (once it was ready) and begin enjoying Savannah's beauty.

It is within walking distance of places to eat, tour busses, the riverfront and downtown market area.

Location
Front desk staff…They could have been friendlier/nicer. The only exception was a young lady name Tiffany. She was very nice and assisted us with food choices. Also, no room service and I paid almost $1500.00 for 4 nights . I will visit Savannah again , but not the hotel.

The rooms were spacious and clean, my favorite room were the river fronts with balconies very large with two desks and televisions, full size refrigerator in all-of there suites as well as the roof top pool with a bar that opened at noon-11pm; the location was perfect especially after some strolling along the river front due to the fact this hotel has a secluded feel but in a few steps to the left you’ll find everything, and yes, there were other hotels in the crowded areas but none of them where as nice and as relaxing, this hotel is huge and they were booked solid my whole stay but the way it is set up and where it is located I didn’t feel smothered by large crowds at all in any area and the aura of the hotel was relaxed, but safe. I went to Home wood alone as a woman and am not techno savvy but I was craving Chinese food and was not familiar and did not have the app for DoorDash, I did have the Uber app, however, and the front desk help me to get the Uber driver to take me where I wanted to go, the gentleman that was working at the front desk with the two lovely ladies, and I will mention their all of their names later, but a man that was working there named Ty knew I was nervous about going there because it was late and it was dark and the area that I was getting the Uber to. It was a little risky so because he saw I was fearful about getting the Uber back and it was very late and dark and not along the historical river front offered to walk me back after I was finished eating (it wasn’t a short walk) he went above and beyond his duties of employment and at this time off the clock) he was so nice and respectful that I teared up a little because of my appreciation and the man did this with no benefit for him what so ever, (I’m sure after a long busy day he just wanted to go home but he took time out his own Tito do this.
I can’t say anything but good about Home Wood Suites I left there two days ago and am looking forward to going back soon.
I like the property , I would have liked to have had room service of breakfast and dinner only because I’m not acquainted with DoorDash.

Overall, the room was great. Comfortable and clean. The kitchenette was helpful to have. Breakfast was good and the staff was helpful and kept the dining area stocked and clean.
The room king suite description detailed a dining area, but we only had a desk and not a full table for our family. Also, it was classified as a river room, but you could barely see the water over the parking lot. The valet parking situation isn't ideal as the small road leading to the front of the hotel is quickly blocked as people wait to drop off or receive their cars, but the staff worked as quickly as they could and were pleasant.

Kitchen staff was great and all around staff was ok but when we had any problems or issues then they turned to so what nothing we could do
Didn’t like the fact our room was infested with bugs I don’t know what kind but I know my newborn grand baby was infested with them and had bites all over his body and they did nothing to help said we couldn’t prove it was from the hotel. Like oh man hold on I’m a lying trash that just wants free stuff or at most a different room poor poor staff should be sued

Ruime kamer, zwembad op dak, parkeergelegenheid
Het sofa bed moest zelf opgemaakt worden, het ontbijt (vrijwel alles is ongezond, maar dit is vast typisch Amerikaans)

The location is good. A bit difficult to get to because of road works but good parking and 2 mins walk to the main areas. Rooftop pool the kids loved it. Breakfast staff were chatty, friendly and kind.
Staff on front desk were not friendly at all. Indifferent, no welcome, no nothing!
Room was very dark.
No bar in the lobby. Only bar was on rooftop which in March was pretty chilly at night.

Location is great. Breakfast was OK but nothing impressive. Pool bar/deck was nice. Clean property.
River view was more like half a river view. After paying $500.00 per night, I found the $45.00 per day valet parking a bit outrageous. No restaurant. Only food option was very simple items at the pool bar/deck. Housekeeping did not clean the room while we were gone for the afternoon, nor did anyone ask if we wanted it cleaned.
9.0
The breakfast was excellent and the staff at the front desk and with breakfast along with the valet were great.
The valet is the only way to park there and it is $45 per day. It seems that all city hotels now have valet parking and charge these amounts. We stayed in Nashville a few weeks ago and it was the same. This would be great to know up front when booking online, so you really know the full price. There was also an odor in the room coming from work being done down the hall and there was supposed to be a queen bed, but it was really a full size bed in room 415.

Valet parking. Would be nice if we could park our own vehicle since the lot is right across from the hotel. Only complaint.

Right on the river and the roof top bar
45 dollars a day for parking
4.0
Every interaction with staff was positive and pleasant.
Let’s start with the biggest problem: the bathroom. The bathroom needs serious attention. It was not up to any sort of hygienic standards. Yes, the tub and toilet were white, the floors appeared to have been clean, but that was it. There is black mold in the bath tub where the soap holder was and it was also growing on the walls. There was extensive water damage on the ceiling that had obviously been painted over and obvious water damage to the walls surrounding the tub (the wallpaper was peeling up.) The shower only had a cloth shower curtain with no plastic liner.
As far as safety goes… Our balcony door did not close, our phone was disconnected, and to top it off our second night the door to the front of the room BROKE and would not close. Maintenance was here until after 11pm working on it and could not entirely fix the problem because it turns out that the door needs to be replaced.
As far as the linens go, they appeared to be clean and our towels also appeared to be clean. I can’t say the same for the room my mother in law stayed in.

It’s was clean
The maintenance going on, literally the whole morning someone was beating, drilling and just making a whole lot of noise outside my room. I believe hotels should wait till checkout or close down during renovations or at least tell the customer so they could know in advance not to stay there
