Comfortable and clean room in heart of Wiscasset; all the amenities including full-kitchen. Directly across from Sheepscot River

It was quiet, very clean, and a comfy bed.

The check-in was easy. The place was spotless. The bed was comfortable. You can see the river from the patio and walk to shops and restaurants. Even though it is only few hundred feet off of Rt. 1, it was very quiet.

Pluses. Location was great not only to explore a quaint little town but to drive up and down the coast. Plenty of food choices nearby.
Minuses. Insufficient bed linens and towels for a 10 day stay. We had to go to the laundromat midweek. The lock on the front door has a mind of its own. Sometimes you had to put the code in multiple times before it responded. Not a happy experience at 12:30 am when you have been on the road since 5 am the day before. Don’t plan on cooking a full meal here but if you are heating up restaurant leftovers like we did, there is a nice microwave and oven/air fryer combo. Mama was not a happy camper to discover there was a coffee maker and filters but NO COFFEE when awakening after a day of marathon travel. Had to go to the store and buy a bag of coffee. Furniture is cute but wicker and not made for large people. Might want to consider at least one chair that doesn’t creak when a large person sits in it. Except for the above, it was clean and adequate. Definitely no frills.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights. On first arrival, I noticed a dirty towel left hanging on the shower curtain. This could have easily been missed by the cleaning staff and wasn't a big deal to me. The little problems didn't end there. The door to the bathroom didn't fully close, the light in the bathroom flickers, and the shower seemed to have a seal leak on the bottom. We overall had a great time but wish these things had been fixed before we arrived. Very cute and convenient place to stay!

The apartment had everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting outside for morning coffee and looking at the water. The location was great. The only upgrade we would like to see is a pot large enough to cook lobsters! We'll go back anytime we get the chance.

Travelers with limited mobility will have difficulty negotiating the petite bathroom. Must climb up, at least 6 inches or more, to get in and out of the shower without grab bars. Commode is low. Remaining studio is an open plan. Kitchenette is well done and adequately stocked.

We enjoyed the location of Wiscasset very much. We traveled as south as Portland and as north as Belfast and all over in-between.
The room was just as pictured on the website. The parking was four feet from our door. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen met all our needs. I would stay here again.
Anything need improving----Yes----the shower curtain had heavy mold on the bottom of it. Allowing one towel/wash cloth per person for a five night stay is not enough. Bring your own Kleenex. There is none in the room.
Overall for the price it is a good deal.

The room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed being able to walk over and get lobster and clams at Sprague’s which was excellent! (The line was always too long at Red’s Eats.) Our only complaint was that the internet connection was flakey.

We enjoyed the property. It was a simple drive to where ever we wanted to go. The bed was comfortable and the unit had everything we needed. My only complaint is I sent a few messages through VRBO that went unanswered before we went, we received text messages that you could not respond to (seemed to be automated) and there was no kind of book that gave suggestions on what to do or eat around us. All small things for us but it would have been nice.

My mom lives in Wiscasset, but has pets, so I can’t stay with her. This was perfect! It was close enough to her, but I had a bit of my own space and privacy. I loved having a full-sized fridge, microwave and toaster. I was able to save money by eating there most mornings and some dinners. The kitchen had a lot more than I expected! I will definitely use this rental again when I visit!

Cleanliness and location of the property were great! I use a walker and I appreciated the short ramp into the unit. Everything was as expected (based on vrbo pictures and description). The stall shower is quite big however there is a step up into the shower (at least 7 inches). There are no grab bars or place to sit in the shower - so bring a shower chair and suction cup grab bar if needed. I would rent this property again. The views are beautiful and I always enjoy Maine. Jodie's Cafe and Bakery on Bath Rd. is good for breakfast (a short car ride away).

This property was a great hub for our daily adventures and is just a little down (and across) the street from Red’s Eats. The space was just right for the limited time we spent indoors. Window a/c worked fine and the bed was comfy.

The apartment was cute and it was nice to have all the appliances while on a vacation. Quick walk to see the water and to eat at Red’s. The bathroom was the only area of complaint: the door didn’t close completely, the shower curtain smelled, and the shower head was attached with a magnet and not adjustable (I tried adjusting and the head popped of the magnet and sprayed water all over the bathroom). But overall, it was a good stay.

Convenient to attractions on mid-Maine coast
Enjoyed our stay. Very convenient to mid Maine attractions. The property was adequately clean, although not spotless. Bed very comfortable. Small things not provided that would have been nice--a hairdryer, tissues, and real bath soap--not the tiny hotel versions. Otherwise just fine.

This Sheepscot is NO Beauty!
Filthy unit. French fries inside the microwave, loads of dust and rubbish underneath the bed, constantly wet/damp bathroom due to the lack of an exhaust fan!

Well-Maintained Wiscasset Rooms
Very good. Well-equipped and close to town. A/C was small and the weather was super hot. Also, as long as we're knit-picking, the lovely tiles in the shower could use a special cleaning along the grout.

Exactly as described
My husband and I spent a week in Wiscasset on family matters and this was the perfect little apartment in terms of location. The unit was clean, quiet and served our needs perfectly. There is no real oven but the toaster oven, microwave and cooktop were fine for our needs. We purchased a small nightlight for the bathroom which we left there as the bathroom really needed this small addition. We have two requests: a set of directions to the TV would be helpful and it would be nice if there were a binder with suggestions as to where to eat and what to see in the area. Red’s Eats is almost directly across the street. This wonderful and famous place should have a mention and a menu in the apartment. The nearby Water Street Kitchen is excellent. That information should also be available for guests in this cute apartment.

The condo was a great size for me and my wofe who planned to spend very little time in the room. Bed was comfortable, the kitchenette was convenient, the heat was excellent, and the shower had great water pressure and virtually unlimited hot water.eypad entry worked great and the location is convenient for midcoast exploring.Everything was good except it is next to impossible to get ahold of VRBO which was of concern.

Rented this for my parents last minute. they absolutely loved it and were excited as to the presentation of the home. They liked how everything was close by as well.
