The place was clean, quiet, inviting and comfortable. Restaurants close by and good lobster!

A perfect place to spend a couple of days, exploring Wiscasset and beyond.
‘Maine Memories’ was very comfortable, nicely cared for, located within walking distance of parks, harbor and restaurants and we would definitely love to stay again. See you next year!

Perfect starting point for exploring the midcoast! The host was super friendly, and the room was ideal for two people, exactly as advertised.

The studio was nicely appointed, kitchen has new appliances and was stocked for actual cooking. Very comfortable bed, updated bathroom. The town is charming and quiet in the evening. I enjoyed the central location for exploring mid coast Maine over 5 days, meeting many lovely people, including the hosts.

What a perfect spot on our way to Bar Harbor from the Portland airport. Super clean and well maintained large studio. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful courtyard to enjoy a meal or beverage. Wiscasset is a charming waterfront town with some great restaurants. Highly recommend this very affordable unit !

First thing: Nowhere in the listing was it mentioned that this property was up a set of narrow, winding stairs. We opted to carry our stuff in without our suitcase because of the steepness. Also, Wiscasset is a ghost town after 5:00, so don't plan to find so much as a place for supper after that. The property was mostly clean and relatively comfortable.

The room was clean and comfortable. We didn't stay long enough to make use of the kitchenette but it had everything you would need.if you wanted to cook for yourself. The parking was rough to get in and out. Better suited for a small car.

Cozy. Clean. Located on the second floor of an old house. The small but efficient kitchenette, updated bathroom and comfortable bed provided all the basics needed for a quiet but well located visit to this area. Cozy decorations. Perfect location for a short walk to the stores and restaurants in Wiscasset. And a great launch site to nearby attractions in the area.

We were delighted to see the space was as it appeared in the photos. Convenient location, host was very nice, and we were messaged that early check in was available. We would recommend to our friends!

The apartment was very nice. It had everything we needed. If you need t.v. at the end of your day to rewind, there weren’t many channels to view. Instructions for trash and recycling would of been helpful. All in all it was a very pleasant stay.

Studio was a great size for 2 of us, clean, cozy and had all amenities for an extended stay. Bed was comfortable. Had trouble with the lock combination and it was resolved immediately. We would stay here again!

Very beautiful location. Not much going on during the off-season but there is a small cafe down the street.
The rental was on the top floor which was a bit annoying but the room is cute and well outfitted. I stayed 2 weeks and didn't have a complaint.
I did have issues getting the keys in the beginning but Im sure that's been resolved since. Parking is a bit wonky but really isn't that bad.
Be prepared to find a spot to do your laundry. I didn't plan ahead for that!
Overall very nice. Wiscasset is an adorable town and a great place to stay to enjoy the state's offerings.

The unit is a bright, sunny apartment in the first block of downtown Wiscasset. If your goal is to experience a lobster roll at Red's Eats, you'll be hard pressed to find a closer property to stay in.
The negatives expressed in some other reviews do exist (shower stains, rust stains on towels), but we did not find that to be terribly off-putting, given the price. Everything was clearly clean if not spotless.
This is a second-floor unit in an historic building with steep steps. While not a lot of fun, I was able to manage them even with a bad knee and a considerable need to lose weight. Nevertheless, if stairs are a challenge, be sure you keep this under consideration.
WiFi was terrific. The signal was fast and stable the entire time. The television in the apartment is a bit small. It receives only basic cable, but who comes to Wiscasset to watch television, right?
The bed is queen size and a solid piece of furniture. The mattress is beginning to show its age -- I recommended to the landlord they consider replacing.
Bottom line: If I'm ever in need of accommodations in Wiscasset, this will be the first place I look. We truly appreciated the location, the hospitality, and the price!

Lovely place. Was everything we were looking for and expected. They had all the kitchen gadgets allowing us to cook up our own lobster!!!
We don't usually say this, but this is a place we would stay at again!!!

Only 20 minutes from Boothbay Harbor which was our destination. We were overlooking the water and only a block from "Reds" famous for having the best lobster rolls in Maine. This was proven as the line to this little shop had about 40 people in it around lunch time.

This stay had everything we were looking for during our roadtrip to Maine: great views, a cozy bed, comfy linens, a nice kitchen and seating area, lovely decor, and a great location. We could have stayed here several more days, we joked about wanting to rent it year-round! We would absolutely love to return and highly recommend.

This unit was perfect for me- I was in town visiting family, and the apartment was large enough for me to feel comfortable. Having a kitchen was an added bonus, I appreciated being able to cook my meals

My husband and I came to this Vrbo for our honeymoon August of 2022. The check-in process was indirect and not with the vrbo hosts, which led to some confusion. There are multiple apartments in the building and the vrbo is not clearly indicated so we didn't know which apartment was our right away. Other than that the Vrbo was quite lovely. It is clean, well-supplied and the hosts are very kind!

My husband and I stayed here when picking up our son from camp. We put our son on a twin blow up mattress for 1 night; that made the room very tight.
It’s a great mid-way point from Portland to Lake Sebago to Boothbay and Camden and Acadia. We did Acadia in a day - up and back.
Parking was behind an art studio and after 1 flight of stairs, the room was quaint and quiet. I loved the old architecture. I felt like I was staying in a old bed and breakfast. The sheets and towels were nice. The bathroom is very small - one person at a time sink. The place is quiet.
The older couple who owns the house is sweet and helpful. The views are of a sliver of the bay and Reds Eats. Walking to town in the morning for coffee and a danish and then to meander into a few shops is just delightful. Reds Eats is great, but there is also a seafood village to walk to. We recommend eating at Water Street Kitchen and Bar, which you can walk to. We hope to go back and stay here - we looked this year but it was booked during our dates.

Charming studio with kitchen in the perfect location to explore midcoast Maine. Easy walking distance for coffee, dining and shopping in Wiscasset and right by the bridge that gets you further east up the coast. As mentioned in other reviews, there are stairs involved but not too taxing. Very happy that a window AC unit was there for a very hot week in ME!

Absolutely charming apartment, spacious and bright with windows on three sides. Well decorated, clean, comfortable.. Would stay here again. NOTE: the suite is on the second floor, up a narrow, steep staircase,.

PSA: Here are the actual directions to the property:
1. Parking is immediately behind/up against the flower shop (it is not straight back as instructed; that’s for a different rental unit).
2. The property is up the street from where you park. You will need to turn left out of the parking lot, walk past another home (this sidewalk is not shoveled if there’s snow, so you’ll need to walk in the quiet street in winter if there’s snow), and the up the rock stairs (the house numbering is past the stairs and on the garage). The actual apartment is on the second floor - the one to the left, which I believe is A, and closes to attic stairs). The stairs are narrow in a very old-Maine-house style. It is not a place for those unable to navigate narrow spaces and that many stairs. The listing did not report these details when we rented.
3. If you’re there in winter, be warned: the hill you need to walk down is icy and slick - especially if it snows a light dusting over the ice. Skirt around the ice if you can.
Pros: Cute, sunny place with a view of the Wiscasset bridge, the inlet, and lovely sunrises. Comes with coffee maker, dishes, etc. We felt we had plenty of room because it’s set up for two people and didn’t at all feel cramped. It’s within walking distance of all the local historic sites, and it was blissfully quiet.
Cons:
Check your linens! They’re not using bleach to wash the towels, and some were stained and too-gross looking to use. More concerning for us was that there was staining on the comforter/bedding that looked like unwashed blood. I’m not sure if the housekeeping service they’re using is just lax or if they’re not washing everything between guests, but it was the dealbreaker for us in not wanting to rent there again.

Charming spot in Wiscassett, Maine
Maine Memories was a charming place to stay during our recent trip. It was cozy, clean and very well appointed. We love houses with character and this one certainly did. It was just off Route 1 so we had access to restaurants and quick travels to other things we want to do.

Perfect for our needs
We needed a place that had a kitchen. It was perfect! Bed super comfy, quiet neighborhood and easy access to mid coast. It was just as discribed. Town was quiet but that is exactly what we wanted.
Stairs to the studio a bit steep but what charming older home doesn't have those?

This studio condo was exactly what we were looking for. Comfortable and welcoming.
We were very happy with the communication by Vacassa/Maine memories. Never had to worry about where to park, where the key was, etc. The condo was exactly as described. The cleanliness was exceptional. I would never hesitate to use Vacassa/Maine Memories again. Thank you for a wonderful weekend

We enjoyed our stay and we’re happy to be close to other great little towns close by. Wiscasset is lovely and quiet.

The spot was very nice for my wife & myself. Linda & David were accommodating, helpful, and friendly. I particularly enjoyed having my coffee and reading on their lovely patio. Linda planted beautiful flowers that added to the serenity. Two lobster shacks in this small town & the dinners at Sarah’s Cafe were (unexpectedly) excellent. Maybe I missed it in the description, but the only negative was our room was on the second story. That was a little difficult for us as we are both in our 70s.
