The BirleyArns

The location was convenient for the wedding we were attending at Ribby Hall. The bed was clean and fresh and comfortable. The manager was friendly and very helpful. Plenty of free parking.

There were noise issues with our room (but we were given the option of changing rooms, which we agreed to.) Some of the decor and furnishings were a little tired.

Disappointing and pricey.

Ground floor room. Room no 1. Quiet area and hotel

Beds very uncomfortable Toilet seat broken Toilet flush faulty Shower was intermittent hot cold. Curtains very thin did not block out light. Normal price £80 charged £137 I am assuming to take advantage of the fact it was Lytham Festival. Shame on them.

Good comfortable stay

Staff very friendly, food was great and reasonably priced. Good location for getting to Lytham festival

The room was ok but could do with updating. It was comfortable enough but was a little tired. For example the bathroom shower had black around the tiles. Not a big job to sort but stands out like a sore thumb.

Great stay

Staff were exceptional, nothing was too much trouble.

Not a dislike just constructive criticism. There was a full size kettle that you couldn't get under the tap. You only have small cups so don't need a massive kettle. If you are going to keep the big kettles suggest mugs for tea and coffee. Thank you, it was a lovely stay. 🙂

needed to be based near Blackpool and this was pretty much spot on. Well done.

Breakfast was adequate for our needs, friendly staff, very helpful and informative. Gill, supervisor was outstanding, she helped us unpack and helped move some luggage upstairs, went more than the extra mile. She should be on for a bonus, excellent and focused individual. if I had a pub, she'd be working with me.

A Great Hotel. Which suits my needs.

Easy and quick check in. Very pleasant and efficient staff. Very comfortable, well appointed clean room. Excellent food, in the restaurant. Pleasant breakfast. Easy check out.

Family visit.

Clean, very warm and comfortable accommodation. No complaints about the room and very comfortable bed. I slept very well.

The only thing I would say is that room 4, the shower is not very powerful, but it's a large cubicle and adequate.

Excellent 👌 so glad we chose this restaurant and hotel to go to.

I really liked this hotel, the decor in the restaurant and bar area was lovely. The Bedroom was a little dated, but reflected the price we paid for the night and all toiletries were provided which was an added bonus as it was a last minute stay so my husband could have a drink. The room was very clean and very comfortable, there was tea and coffee provided, fantastic for the price. The food was excellent and a large hearty amount which we all enjoyed, we all ordered different things. I would return again asap when I am in the Preston area again, no problem.

I wish we had gone next week as they have a group on. Thinking 🤔 about it

A lovely place

Likes the peaceful location but close to amenities Absolutely gorgeous food Wonderful staff and even a glass of mulled wine on the last night

The bed was not very comfy. Need a better quality mattress. Could do with the option of having more pillows in the wardrobe. Wasn’t a big issue but just a suggestion

Friendly fun and warm room

A great artist was performing Saturday night and it made for a great night and atmosphere with friendly people and staff.

Exceptional short break in Lancashire

Location was excellent, all staff were happy and helpful. We had dinner each evening and the selection available was great and the quality was outstanding. Breakfast highly recommended.

Lovely room, good location. Friendly staff. Would stay again.

Excellent size room, very clean and comfortable. Very friendly helpful staff.

Toilet system was very noisy and kept me awake. Heating didn't work. A plug in heater was provided in the main room which was good, but the bathroom was cold as the heated towel rail worked off the main heating so wasn't in use.

Comfortable stay, excellent staff and I would definitely recommend this hotel if you need a hotel that takes dogs…

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The food is very good and not over priced. And the room are comfortable and have everything you need. If you have a dog and are looking for a hotel I would definitely recommend The Birley Arms Hotel

Great break away with the family

The staff were friendly and showed us the full amenities for our stay. The area was clean. The food was delicious and great value for money. I would stay there again.

The room was dusty, smelly, and unclean

The staff were rude on arrival, the room was unclean anf d dusty with cobwebs all around the bed, the window , on the walls. The bed was uncomfortable and couldn't sleep in it as it was broken! Half of the light bulbs in rhe room were not working! Would not return

Nice place to stay as it's close to amenities.

Lovely area and the staff were lovely. Very close to other amenities and the town centre.

The bed was very uncomfortable. The mattress was awful and I didn't sleep very well. They had a fan in the room which was very dusty, they had obviously forgotten to clean it. The bathroom was very clean, however, two of the lights didn't work. The pillows weren't very comfortable either, it would have been nice for a choice of pillows as the ones we had were flat and hard. Kettle was too big to fill at the sink. Would also be nice to have a magnified mirror!

Regardless of the problems stated above, we had a wonderful stay.

The breakfast was excellent, but unfortunately only served at weekends, which we didn't know. All the staff were lovely and friendly.

The only problem we had was with the mattress. I'd definitely say it's passed it's sell-by-date. We were in room 14. The mattress was very lumpy and noisy when you turned over, hence not a comfortable sleep at all. We did, however, enjoy our stay, but we wouldn't class the room as a Deluxe double. We also would have preferred breakfast to be served daily.
