Heerlijk verblijf, net buiten de drukte

Het is een klein hostel/hotel net buiten de drukte maar op loopafstand van alles in het centrum. Kamer was compact met een losse badkamer, maar super schoon en een goed bed. Gedeelde keuken en onbeperkte koffie waren echt een toevoeging! De host was het beste van het verblijf, erg behulpzaam en met goede tips voor de dingen die we wilden doen!

Geen kussens op de bedjes bij het zwembad, ligt toch wat minder lekker. Verder niks!

Het was in een woord top

Het was boven erg donker als je naar de badkamer moest in de nacht daar mogen ze wel wat aan veranderen dat er een lamp op sensor komt ofzo. En het zou prettig zijn als er een nachtlampje was langs het bed.

Exceptionnel

Hostel magnifique aux prestations luxueuses et de bon goût. La piscine au milieu des plantes est superbe. La cuisine est exceptionnellement équipée, et d'une propreté incroyable.

Les dortoirs sont petits dans le genre des hôtels capsules (de luxe) donc les gros sacs restent à l'extérieur dans des casiers très en hauteur: on se démet les épaules et on risque des déchirures musculaires à chaque fois qu'on soulève son bagage.

Very nice place and good value

The staff was very nice and helpful during our entire stay. They bring you free coffee and helped with renting bikes and restaurant recommendations. Overall the place is very nice and there is good value for money.

We loved everything, but please be aware that some rooms have disconnected bathrooms, which we didn’t notice. Also, the pool area is very nice, but don’t expect to tan, since the sun is rarely there.

This place was everything I needed!

This hostel exceeded my expectations in so many ways. The atmosphere can only be described as calming. Cintia was absolutely wonderful and made sure I had everything I needed, as well as providing me with tips and information on how to get to the ruins, beach, and a nearby cenote. As a solo female traveller, Meteora was the best ppssible choice I could have made. The location is perfect. It's a few blocks from all the action, and sits within a more local part of town, so I was able to feel a sense of 'community' within the neighbourhood within just a few short days. You'll also get to know the local street dogs on a first name basis, which suited me just fine, because who doesn't love a good dog party?! 😉 The other guests visiting were quiet, respectful, and friendly, and as quaint as this hostel is, there is always a space to go if you want some privacy. I highly recommend this hostel, and will be sure to come back should I ever visit Tulum again.

Great service and location

Jason and Cinthia are a credit to Mereora! Incredibly helpful, welcoming, and always there to answer any questions or help with sorting anything you need (if they can). Beds are SO comfortable, and rooms are well presented. Location is perfect for exploring Tulum. WiFi was great and some comfortable areas to relax in the grounds. Defo make use of the pool!

The only slight inconvenience is that my private bathroom was downstairs and on the otherside of the building from my room. Also, with the free coffee, no sugar, milk or creamer provided.. feel that the room was quite expensive for what it was so small additions like these are not too much to include.

Incroyable, je recommande vivement le Meteora Stay pour un séjour à Tulum !!

L’établissement est aussi bien équipé qu’agencé, le personnel est très bienveillant et à déborde de recommandations pour les activités à faire dans le coin. L’ambiance y est cocooning et propice à faire de belles rencontres. J’ai adoré mon séjour dans cet hostel, je le recommande vivement !!

Abbiamo adorato il caffè disponibile gratuitamente dalla mattina alla sera. Struttura molto carina e accogliente. Camera silenziosa e spazi comuni molto belli. Tutto molto pulito, da non sottovalutare

Purtroppo avevamo il bagno separato dalla camera e quindi dovevamo sempre uscire, ma non è stato un grosso problema. La camera era veramente piccolissima, forse due metri quadri sarebbero stati comodi

Bon hôtel

Hôtel et chambre propre. Dispose d’eau et de cage gratuit. Très bonne connexion internet. Superbe salle de bain.

Assez mal insonorisé, la porte de la salle de bain ne fermait pas. Piscine pas très agréable. Mais surtout très loin des points d’intérêt de la ville. Sans voiture il n’y a presque rien à faire autour.

Gorgeous, Intimate and Well Staffed! Can't Wait To Go Back.

This was such a fun stay! The design of the hostel creates an intimate meeting area in the middle which is beautifully decorated and maintained. The staff were so laid back and attentive. It almost felt like I was crashing in a spare bedroom and a cousin's. There was always someone around to help if you needed it. They seemed very familiar with the local area so they were able to give detailed suggestions for excursions. This is an amazing stay for solo travelers or couples because the space design is ideal for meeting new people. It only rained for a brief moment when I was there but the visual under the balcony from the hammock was so soothing!

The all-concrete design of their private bathrooms holds a ton of heat. It was tough taking a shower and getting dressed after because my window opened to the street without a screen to hide me. Adding a screen or a way to ventilate without exposure would be nice. At the time of my visit, Tulum was still developing. The surrounding areas of the hostel are not glamorous and can be a turn-off for some aesthetically focused guests. This doesn't change the quality or convenience based on location though, and will probably see improvement as tourism increases.

The hostel is a gem with a relaxed atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and I met lovely people here. The kitchen is the cleanest I have seen in hostels in the past years.

There is no downside for me, just some small improvements: I would have loved a little more storage space for small personal items in the room, e.g. next to the bed. Also, for the rooms next to the swimming pool, it would be nice to have a space to hang your wet clothes to dry after swimming.

Great option for travelers that are looking for a low cost accommodation! Highly recommend

Staff is really helpful and attentive. Ambiance is great! Location is convenient - close to downtown

The only problem was the bathroom outside the room. I also find that the music should start playing a little later. I was sick one of the days but couldn’t rest because the music started to play at 8:30am.

Excellent!

Super friendly and helpful staff! Very comfy and pleasant accomodation incl. pool, work spaces or places to chill out. A/C in the bedroom, coffee and well equiped kitchen. Walking distance from Tulum centre. I highly recommend, such a excellent place!

Great place, great location, great staff. Ticks all the boxes. We got a room with private bathroom and it was amazing. Very close to transport, bus station, restaurants and bars.

loved the pool and communal areas. exactly like the photos. location was great

if you are considering booking the private room with the private external bathroom, be prepared for your bathroom to not be directly next door but across the courtyard area. this wasn’t too I convenient but during the night it’s a bit of a pain to use the bathroom.

Exceptional

Staff is extremely nice from receptionist to hospitality folks. I stayed in two fancy and flashy places prior to staying in Meteora (Playa del Carmen and by the beach in Tulum) and the shower in Meteora was by far the best one, the bed is pretty comfy as well. The Deluxe room is simple and with no fuss but it serves the need and it’s pretty clean and en-suite is good size too. Wi-fi is also spot on throughout the whole place. I didn’t use the kitchen facilities but it seems like all is pretty organized and tidy. Free tea and coffee as well!

Fabulous

The staff is fantastic, especially Cyhthia(front desk). She was a wealth of knowledge and you can tell she enjoys her job, especially when dealing with difficult foreigners😜. Seriously though, she made for a fantastic experience.(I’m not sure why other guests didn’t try the fruit stand outside the hostel. Cheap Tropical fruits, how can you go wrong?

The air conditioner in our room was ridiculously cold and I’m sure it greatly contributed to me getting extremely sick. Other than that, I’d highly recommend people staying here….location, location and superior staff at hostel pricing!!!

Superb

I really couldn't fault this place. It doesn't look like much from the outside but its a little oasis inside. Beautiful. My room was small but all I needed and for the price I think it was exceptional. Its personal and very quiet, people are very respectful unlike Mayan Monkey hostel - do not go there if you like your sleep!

I guess the only downside was my private bathroom being downstairs so had to go down there in the night if I needed the loo but it really didn't bother me. Just mentioning it as it might some people.

Pretty place with value for money

The staff here are very friendly, helpful and nice! Clean pretty rooms. Small if you don’t book the King room - the king room was amazing and our favourite. Perfect location if you want to stay in the city and have close to travel out for cenotes etc. WiFi is great and there are great areas if you need to sit with your laptop and check emails for example. Clean and organised common kitchen. we spend more hours there in the mornings than we have planned because we enjoyed our stay there a lot! We arrived late and contacted them before and they arranged so we could get the room later than check in times.

Only downside is when you book a “private room” with own toilet, then the toilet is outside your room. therefore also best to book the King room if you want to have only a few steps to your own bathroom.

An Oasis in the City

1. Owner and Manager Dario and his tem were extremely lovely people. They were organized and accommodating. 2. Building design Emaculate building design. I felt like I was in Bali. What an Oasis.

My dorm room was super small but this also made it more intimate. I got to know all my roommates well. So although small, it didn't matter. The facilities were top notch.
