The place has a wonderful view of the bay & a cabin-like look. The exterior (deck) is fantastic with lots of lawn chairs, bbq grills, & tables and the view of the bay.
The main kitchen in the 1st house (you enter into from parking) is good with 2 ovens, 1 big stove, and 1 big refrigerator. Kuerig machines in the main & small kitchen are a nice bonus. The small kitchen in the 2nd house is also nice & functional.
The 2 bedrooms & 1 bathroom in the 2nd house are in good condition (except the floor). The deck linketo the master bedroom is cute but it doesn’t seem to have been used in a while.
Some negatives-
1. The bedroom in the 1st house has 1 bed right next to a generator machine that makes a lot of noise in the middle of the night.
2. Couch in the 1st house is saggy so not comfortable, especially if one has back issues.
3. Deck door in 1st house is very hard to slide open.
4. The bathroom in 1st house is quite small.
5. Most lights in the master bedroom in 2nd house didn’t seem to work.
6. No attached bathroom in either house.
7. No curtains or blinds on the deck door or front door in main house. This makes it warm and keeps it bright at night if someone slept on the couch.
8. The furniture (couch & chairs) inside both houses are placed such that you cannot see the bay view from the couch if you wish to enjoy the view from indoor.
If you are stuck inside due to poor weather (excessive heat or rain) these above minegatives feel exaggerated. So we left early.

10 family members from age 88 to 10 years old. It’s our 2nd visit and we’ve not been to any place more welcoming and peaceful. The location is just heaven and the docks and water views are just unbelievably gorgeous. It’s going to be an annual trip for our family.

We booked this place as get ready location for our wedding. It was in a cute location and had ample space for the groomsmen to get ready. We wish we couldve stayed longer!

We rented these cottages because our daughter was getting married across the cove at The Anchor Inn. It was the absolute perfect location! The space was large enough for everyone and had a lovely view. We were so happy to find this!

What a wonderful place to bring your family. My 4 grand children (ages 9 - 16) absolutely had the best time. And that’s because of Lauren’s rental home. The quiet and easy going neighborhood was just grand. Between fishing, swimming, paddle boarding and many friendly wiffle ball games A fantastic time was Had by all 9 of us - my 87 year old mother couldn’t say enough good things about the cottages and kitchens and the decks to enjoy there. Life is lovely at Lauren’s place. If we could give 10 stars we would indeed!

This is a great spot if you are visiting the Naval academy. We were there for commissioning week and it was perfect. Beautiful views, quiet and relaxing. Close to great restaurants. Host was very responsive during our stay. Nice to be able to spread out rather than being crammed in a hotel room.

Comfortable and well supplied. Very clean. Lovely view of the inlet and water. Could use some wall hooks to hang clothing. We had a comfortable, relaxing time at the cottages.

This place was perfect for my friends to have their own space, lovely place to be, and close to us. Thinking of just spending a weekend there even though I live in the area. 🙂

Great location for a weekend getaway with our Midshipman! Roomy, clean, and nicely appointed home - had a wonderful weekend and wished we could have stayed longer! The paper towel and toilet paper flowers were a nice "Disney" resort touch - my wife and daughter absolutely loved it!

The location of this property is beautiful and peaceful. We truly enjoyed sitting outside in the morning drinking coffee and looking out over the water. For this alone, we give the property 3 stars.
We would like to warn future travelers that there are very strong odors inside the both houses at this property. We are very sensitive to artificial scents, perfumes, plug-ins, etc... -- so, we typically travel with our own linens since most places use scented laundry detergents and dryer sheets -- so we realize that we may be more sensitive than most people when it comes to odors. But, this particular weekend we were traveling with another couple who typically doesn't mind mild perfume scents and even they could not stand the perfumed linens in the main house. So, we asked the manager for new linens for the main house. The manager brought us new linens (while we were out) and just left them on the bed for us to make. She also gave us a bit of a hard time about it with the excuse that it was her understanding we would have our own linens for both houses (we only brought enough of our own linens for one house).
The second house, where we stayed, had the strongest sulfur well-water smell we have ever encountered. It was so strong that we could not shower or even wash the dishes there. We called the manager who assured us that the water was tested and safe but acknowledged that they knew about the smell and that the smell was disclosed somewhere in the VRBO stuff -- we looked to see if we had just missed the disclosure but could not find this disclosure anywhere on the VRBO site.
In addition to the smell, the second house was pretty dirty. The floor was dirty, the upholstery was dirty, there were multiple scented plug-ins that we had to remove (we had requested there be no plug-ins on our arrival), and the house was significantly understocked -- no forks, few spoons, not enough plates or coffee cups, etc... The cleaning fee was too high for this property.
Except for the view in the morning, we would not recommend this property.

Great place for our short getaway. The two cottages are perfect for spreading out and having your own space. Games and a big yard gave us plenty to do with a three and fourteen year old during quiet afternoons between fishing and being out in the provided canoe. Close to lots of restaurants and shops but on a quiet street with an excellent view. Would recommend.

Relaxing Cottage
Great views! Amenities were thoughtful, and the outdoor space is excellent.

Great location in secluded residential neighborhood on the water.
Lauren is very responsive and answered all my questions promptly. We also appreciated the many thoughtful touches most owners do not include, such as a personal note with fresh fruit upon arrival. Coffee, bottled water, snacks, paper products and disposable serving items were all included. The bedding, and towels are high quality which is not normally found in most rentals. The outdoor space is wonderful for enjoying a nice fire and taking in the amazing views.

Winter Getaway
We wanted a place to meet with family beside the firepit, while family members had their own cottage for sleeping. This was perfect! Large water-view deck with a firepit. Plenty of space for all. We had a great time!

Just what we were looking for! Great spot on the water with the perfect set up to be outside and getaway with a small group of friends. Lauren is incredible responsive and accommodating which made for an ideal stay.
