Very Enjoyable

Our stay was very enjoyable, our apartment was spacious and clean .The breakfast was lovely and the pool was very relaxing, tranquil and quiet. Tavira was about 10 minute drive from the property. Overall we would highly recommend Abacatus Farmhouse.

A gem of a place!!! Would be back in a heartbeat!

Beautiful breakfast on the terrace with home made jams, fresh orange juice and delicious scrambled eggs. The honesty bar is a lovely touch! The farmhouse is so peaceful and a beautiful place to switch off and relax! We used the bikes to get around and only 10mins into tavira!

Lovely little hotel with excellent service

Very friendly hosts, amazing breakfast, very peaceful garden with pool. Room has tea and coffee and reasonably priced wines. The room was spacious with plenty of cupboard space. The kitchen was equipped with everything you might need. Bikes are available. Tevira ans St Luzia are a short drive or bicycle ride away. Especially Tevira has loads of restaurants. Aldi and Lidl supermarkets are also a short drive/cycle/walk.

You could hear the neighbours (talking, TV, shower, flush). The room could do with some maintenance (e.g. unblock the drain).

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt

Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet. Alles sehr liebevoll zusammengestellt und zubereitet. Wir konnten auf der Terrasse frühstücken mit Blick in den Garten ( Bambus/Bananenstauden). Sehr ruhig und erholsam. Mit Auto gut erreichbar, ohne Pkw eher schwierig. Die für den Empfang und Service zuständige Mitarbeiterin war sehr freundlich und kompetent. Gut geeignet als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge entlang der Küste und in das Hinterland. Auch Tavira und der Strand auf der Insel sind eine Reise wert.

A hidden treasure in Tavira! This is the hotel we've always dreamed of

The hotel and staff far exceeded our expectations. The rooms are big and beautiful, the breakfast was delicious, and the pool is a dream. It is so peaceful and quiet, day and night. Thank you to the staff for being so attentive. It happened to be my birthday the day we arrived, and the staff surprised me with Portuguese wine and birthday cake! We flew to Faro from the UK, and then rode the train from Faro to Tavira. It was a short walk, around 20 minutes, from Tavira station to the farmhouse. The farmhouse has complimentary bikes, which we rode into town each night for dinner. We only stayed for three nights, but will be back for more!

Superb

We enjoyed very much the stay. The smells of the garden and plants was so breathtaking. Also the breakfast was wonderfully done. The swimming pool area was clean and towels were provided everyday on the deck chairs. Fernando is a graciously and helpful host. We would be happy to come back again in the future.

Lovely property, great apartment, very quiet and reserved area, very nice pool as well

Very relaxing, friendly, beautiful place to stay.

The breakfast was wonderful. Brought to our room every morning with fresh bread and fruit. Family owners were very friendly and helpful whenever we asked for anything. We were made to feel very much at home. We stayed in a spacious apartment with two large rooms and a modernly equipped kitchen. The pool was right outside our room, cleaned regularly and we often had it to ourselves. All very clean, in a quiet, secure location a short drive to some really beautiful beaches.

Brilliant stay in beautiful location, highly recommended

Wonderful location in the countryside, but with easy access to local towns of Tavira, Santa Lucia, Fuseta, Cabanas, Olhao. Beautiful pool and avocado farm, with spacious and comfortable rooms with everything you could need. Great service and communication and wonderful fresh breakfast served to your room. Highly recommended!

Best hotel in Portugal so far !!!

It was just perfect - from the garden with the banana trees and nice pool to the apartment very well decorated and the very delicious breakfast served every morning ! Our truly must go place ! We will be back ! Thank you for such the nice service too and great advices !

Perfect for couples!

The pool, the breakfast, the silence, the location (we went walking/cycling everywhere, from Tavira to Praia do Barril)… it was a perfect stay! The staff was incredible as well, always available and super helpful.

perfect stay!

It is very beautiful decorated and relaxing to stay there . the location to Tavira super and also to Santa Luzia where you have very could fish restaurants. Also to walk to the beach to Berril on the Ilha Tavira, its super. The farmhouse is so beautiful restored, we would have liked to stay more than 5 nights. The breakfast was also very good. Fernando, the Manager, was most helpful and very kind. Clearly advice to stay in this most beautiful farmhouse.
