THE NEIGHBORHOOD
This 3 bedroom home is central to everything Madison Valley has to offer: great restaurants, parks, hiking, supermarkets, day spas, and more.
Your hosts made Madison Valley their home when first settling in Seattle ... and haven't looked back since. We love walking the streets of this neighborhood, and we will gladly suggest fun walks depending on your interests. Stroll to the beach at Madison Park. Walk by multi-million dollar estates. Discover hidden neighborhood gems such as the farmhouse with horses in the yard and the home that doubles as an eclectic art studio and antique truck gallery. Take a walk through the fabled Arboretum to Lake Washington.
Enjoy the countless restaurants that Madison Valley ("Little Paris") has to offer. In addition to French gems, try our favorite tapas restaurant or the best Japanese food east of Tokyo. Grab a morning coffee in one of the numerous bakeries.
Our home provides easy access to Downtown (Pikes Place Market, Seattle Art Museum, Seattle Great Wheel), Seattle Center (Space Needle, Chihuly Glass Museum), South Lake Union (MOHAI), University of Washington, and Capitol Hill. All are accessible by car, bus (numerous bus lines a few blocks from home), or for the adventurous, by foot.

Beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood with a very short drive to the downtown area. Would highly recommend!

Great location, quiet neighbourhood and easy to get around. House was very clean and beds comfortable. Excellent supply of dishes and glassware

The outside of the property has seen better days, and the neighborhood was so-so. The inside had a weariness to it that is typical of a short term rental, but it was mostly clean (please wash windows) and had a modern kitchen and bathrooms (the basement bathroom used a utility sink, as it shared space with the washer and dryer). The basement bedroom and bath was a bit musty. The property slept 10, but had only one 3 cushion couch in the living room and no easy chairs. Overall, it was satisfactory and served the purposes of our small family.

We spent 5 days in the Madrona neighborhood of Seattle. The location is a few minutes from the popular Capital Hill neighborhood with lots of good food/activities, and close to downtown Seattle as well. This is a great launching spot to explore the city and surrounding area.
Overall the house was what we expected. There are plenty of beds for the family to spread out. The main living area is not huge if you have a big party.
We did have some requests while we were there and the owners/property management company were quick to help.

The house was clean, fairly convenient to drive to attractions, beds were comfortable and house was good for 4 people. We were disappointed in two things though. First it was VERY hot the week we were there in August and the house had one small window unit air conditioner which did not cool the entire house. We also had booked this hoping to use the backyard space which was advertised as "Great Outdoor Space". The space definitely needs some work as the paint on the deck is peeling everywhere, the wood table outside was growing mold and the chairs were way to low to be able to enjoy using it to visit or eat at. The house could also use another living room chair or small couch as one or two of us always ended up at the dining room table. The communication from the owners was excellent though and very helpful. Overall a good stay.

The Autobahn house was a cute little duplex that had plenty of beds and a nice outdoor backyard area. The listing did not say there was a shared wall or that it was a duplex, so I was a little surprised when I saw a person leave from the door next to us.
Some of the furniture are moved around based on the photos listed like there were only 2 bar stools. The living room also has a window AC, which was a nice addition, but not pictured. The dresser is on a different wall in the master. So, the pictures are a tad/slightly outdated than listed.
A big issue was the house Wi-Fi was not properly working. Lynne was able to provide us a back up Wi-Fi a couple of hours later that same day, however our friend was not able to work-from-home that morning due to no internet. Aside from that, Lynne was very communicative throughout the trip. A few moments of delayed response, but eventually communicated.
The room with the bunk beds did notice some insects inside possibly coming in from the window, which did not have a screen, so we had to keep an eye out for that as one of my guests found one in her bed.
This is a much older house, so with every step upstairs or staircase results in a squeak, creek, or crack sound. You will hear every step if you are downstairs.
Parking was spacious as the entire area was nothing but street parking and ample amount of space.
Overall, we were there to visit and see the city so the Autobahn house provided us a good place to rest and clean up. If I could rate if half stars, I would rate it at 3.5/5 as it provided us what we needed and requires a few updates to the listing and issues resolved, so the other future renters don't experience the same.

The listing was misleading as it didn’t show that the home was part of a duplex and that the two smaller bedrooms and bathroom were actually in the basement where we found a few spiders in the bedrooms and it was moldy which triggered an allergic cough in one of the guests. Also the outside didn’t seem to be kept up nicely. And responsiveness from the property owner was absolutely terrible and disappointing when we notified her of no wi-if connection. She never resolved the issue and didn’t even apologize or offer some kind of credit for the inconvenience!! I will NOT recommend this place , especially after having positive experiences with other places we’ve stayed at in the past.

A great view out the living room window, comfortable beds (a big plus in my book), responsive hosts (thank you!), close to shopping and a great breakfast place (Hi Spot), quiet - we were quite smug about our choice of this house. It helped that the weather was perfect, the spring flowers and trees in bloom. We'd stay here again.

This was a great house for my family of 6. We were visiting my niece at Seattle U and the home was less than 10 minutes away. There was lots of space for everyone and the owners even left a welcome gift for us! I contacted the owners a couple of times and there was always a prompt response. We will definitely book this property again when we visit our niece!

I stayed here for 2 nights, the house is very clean, great location and neighborhood.

Whole family loved it
The place was clean, tidy, and had everything we needed. The neighborhood is quiet, which worked out very well for enabling my family with children to get some sleep after each busy day of sight-seeing. My children were sad to leave and are asking about when we can go back.

Great location, perfect for families!
We loved our time here- perfect for our family and grandparents. The owners were great- very accommodating and communicative. We’d definitely stay here again.

Very enjoyable location to downtown Seattle. Owners were terrific helped in every way, highly rated
Lynne and Andy were awesome always helpful in every way. Their place fit our small family reunion perfectly. The home was clean and well equipped with all our needs. A warm welcome with wine and goodies. Easy access to downtown Seattle. Thanks to both for a pleasant four day get away.

Nice house in nice location
The Autobahn is located in a quiet neighborhood that a short drive from all the main attractions in Seattle.
The house is nicely furnished and comfortable beds (very important!).
Lynne checked in on us through out our stay to ensure that everything was going well. This was much appreciated.
Overall, I would recommend this place and would return in the future.

Very usable space
Owners were very hospitable and home was clean. Close to the city and very quiet. I was concerned about the 2 page rental agreement but it was not a issue.

Roomy, well-appointed, convenient
we very much enjoyed our stay here. Lynn and Andy were great! They had a welcome bag with some snacks as well as a bottle of wine for us when we arrived. This was very nice to have. I wish we would have taken them up on a small grocery run to include coffee, cream, and breakfast supplies for the next morning as we got in after midnight. They were very accommodating and were able to help us store our luggage for the entire day after we checked out. This was extremely helpful to us. The house is well-appointed with everything you would normally need for a vacation home. There were more than enough dishes and silverware for the number of people the house accomodates. The beds were very comfortable. The towels were nice and plush. There were laundry pods and dishwasher pods and dish soap which was amazing! the backyard was nice and the home is in a very convenient location. Most Uber rides were around $6. There are lots of great restaurants in the area. Would highly recommend staying with Lynn and Andy in any of their properties, especially this one!

29 July 2018 in Seattle, WA
The house was very comfortable and the location was close to all our "must see" list. We had a very nice time with our family and the house met our needs. We appreciated the personal touche of your "Tour Guide" book.

My family and I had an excellent stay. We had plenty of room for all 5 of us and it was easy to get to and back again! We enjoyed the theme also. thank you from Montana!

Plenty of indoor and outdoor space and charm in a quiet part of town
We stayed here for a week with our 3 kids, visiting family. The house is lovely! Our kids loved the bunk beds and car movie posters. The kitchen had all the tools we needed. We used the yard to enjoy some sunshine, walked to coffee, and talked with the friendly neighbors. The hosts give out their self-published guidebook, which we used extensively, and it did not let us down!
Lynne and Andy were excellent, responsive hosts. I would stay here against at a property that they manage.

A very cozy, spacious and comfortable residence.
Great location, nice neighborhood and the house had all necessary items for a great and comfortable stay. The hosts were very attentive and expectant of anything that we needed.

Cozy place, convenient location
We had a great stay at The Autobahn. The place is very clean, nicely updated, and had all the things you need for a comfortable stay including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, dish soap, etc. The hosts were very accommodating to our requests (pack n play and high chair). And the welcome basket was a nice touch. I was initially hesitant about staying a few miles outside of the city center but was pleasantly surprised to find that this property is no more than 15 min away from all that downtown Seattle has to offer.
