Brought back many childhood memories. Very nice location close to everything with beautiful views.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. Our fishing charter was a couple houses down the waterway and this made for an easy commute when we had to get up at 2 AM for our morning bite. The house was clean and everything was in working order. I would stay here again.

The 70s style was entertaining during our stay, and it had everything we needed. What stands out about this place is the location. It had a nice view of the lake, and everywhere we wanted to check out in town was within a few blocks.

Summary of our experience last weekend:
Way overpriced, excessive fees charged. The most I've ever paid per night for a rental and had many problems. If I had paid half what I paid it would have been a rip off.
Pull out couch was broken and not usable. Top bunk bed was not usable due to broken supports/instability.
Three of the 6 people in our group did not have a bed to sleep in. Two slept on the couch, one on the floor.
Ran out of toilet paper Saturday night! No kleenex for back up.
Terrible wi-fi. The TV was useless because you could not get Netflix or anything else to play for more than 30 seconds at a time.
Grill was covered with chunks of meat from previous renter. Grill brush not usable, caked with old meat, bent bristles.
Toaster broken. Only one out of 4 elements worked.
No baking dishes to bake meat in the oven. Had to go out and buy foil pans in the next town.
Dirty bathroom, debris on the floor.
I contacted the management company, Simple Life Rentals, within a day or two of the rental. They were not helpful, did not offer a credit or money back.
This is the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a rental. Issues like these are unacceptable in any rental, but especially when paying premium prices.

The property was just OK. The view was nice but there is an RV park in the way where they have nightly music and fires.
The wifi is extremely poor (kept getting disconnected), the access point is not in the space (most likely upstairs) and there seems to be an extender on the side of the house which may be making things worse.
The bed covers need to be washed (the ones in the bunk beds smelled so bad we took them out and put them in the back porch room).
There was no driveway and had to park in the street. My car is on the expensive side and was extremely worried during my stay that another car may hit it or someone may damage it.
A fire pit may have been a nice to have for night time.
There is only a single restaurant in town.
We only slept there, didn't spend any time during the day.

Beware, this place is operated by price gougers. We were suckers to pay what we did for this place. We don’t live around here and have never traveled to Door County before, and there wasn’t a lot of availability for the weekend we wanted to travel. VRBO won't let me say how much we paid, but you’re going to regret booking this place if you care about a fair deal. Even the winery that owns the property knows that it’s mediocre (go to their blog post from Aug 4 2020), I wish we had the forethought to research this before we agreed to pay so much a night for this place. Everything was spotless and clean, but the wood paneling all over the house has that kind of smell like people chain-smoked in this house a long time ago. This place has no air conditioning, and during our visit it was nearly 90 each day (which meant the unit was really hot well into the night when we were trying to sleep). We decided to leave early because we didn’t want another night of bad sleep. We feel pretty stupid and learned our lesson, hopefully this review might prevent someone else from being fooled like we were. I would have been willing to pay the "average rate" per night for this place knowing what I know now, but what we paid for it was pure price gouging!

Great experience!
Had a great experience staying at this rental! It was clean and had a nice kitchen. The best part was the location. It is directly next to a winery and also on the water next to a harbor. We had a great time walking along the water to a nearby lighthouse and over to the beach. We enjoyed doing a wine tasting at the winery next door. It was also a good starting point for visiting Door County.

Loved the feeling of being back in the 70's and 80's......but could use more blankets available to use.

Nice visit
Nice stay with my Mom, I was busy taking online classes and she was within walking distance to eateries and her new favorite st Vincent de Paul. Nice walking path right out back along the water too.

Cozy slice of heaven
My wife, son, and I stayed here for a week and it was a great spot for a home base while we explored Algoma and the surrounding areas. The house was cozy, clean, and has a great nostalgic atmosphere. The view from the back patio was excellent and extremely peaceful. It's a good place to book if you enjoy being close to the water!

Cute 70s vibe decor. Fantastic location.
We enjoyed the back deck on this property provide a lot of people and boat watching. Music plays from the next door winery. You can run over for a cold bottle of wine or go next door to the Brewery for some colds one.

Mid week stay
There were no functional outlets or lamps in the bathroom, living room or bedroom. We therefore had to dry our hair in the kitchen W/O the aid of a mirror....not fun. There were 3 portable toilets at the front entrance, with 2 of them being within 5 feet of the living room windows, right next to the deck railing!! Ugh!
On the bright side...the mattress was comfortable and the ceiling fans were sufficient for cooling, as there is no AC.

Wonderful Stay
A friend and I stayed here for several days in June. The property was very inviting. The beds were really comfortable. The back deck is perfect for watching the boats come in off the lake, enjoying a beer from Ahnapee Brewery on one side or a glass of wine from Von Stiehl while listening to live music from the winery. We will definitely stay again.
