we were on a buisness trip and enjoyed this cottage. The cottage had everything we needed to be able to prepare meals, relax in the evening and enjoy walks among the horses. it also had great views. the place was clean and the host responded quickly to questions we hope to return in the fall

It was beautiful! We woke up every morning to horses outside our windows! Every night we would walk and visit the mother and baby horses and take in the beautiful views.
John was very helpful with suggestions and directions and answering all of our horse farm questions.
The cottage was perfect for the two of us, had everything we needed for a comfortable cozy stay.
Would definitely recommend!

Unit 4 on Milestone Farm is a pleasant cottage, surrounded by pastures full of thoroughbred mares and their young foals. It was so delightful to wake up each morning and watch them frolicking about. The cottage itself is very comfortable and nicely decorated. There is plenty of bedding and linens available for the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and sofabed. We appreciated the air conditioners in the living room and bedroom, and they were sufficient to keep the entire cottage feeling comfortable in the very hot weather. We loved the horse and farm themed decor, which was tasteful and not overly cute. John and all the workers we met at the farm were very welcoming and truly cared about making sure our stay was pleasant. We highly recommend this cottage as the perfect home base for your bluegrass country vacation!

Great stay at a beautiful property. Worked great for what we needed.

Our stay was better than we ever expected. The quiet peaceful surroundings, horses everywhere, and the property owners were amazing! The cottage was so cute, honey and clean. Our morning view out the front window was incredible. We hope to return one day!

My daughter and I stayed here while we attended an event at the Kentucky Horse Park. It is conveniently located and in a beautiful setting surrounded by horses and green paddocks. John and Debbie are very friendly and helpful. Was lovely to see all the fouls that were born in the weeks before we got there.

My husband and I decided on Lexington for our fall getaway. He enjoys bourbon & I love horses, so this was the best for both worlds. We LOVED staying on this property and walking around visiting the horses each day. The location was convenient to all of the things we had planned ; Old Friends (highly recommend) Bourbon & Keeneland. The peaceful surroundings and countryside views beat a hotel any day of the week! We will definitely be back again.

Upon arrival we checked the cleanliness of the home including the bed.
We found mouse feces in the bed. We immediately called the host who did not have another property available but insured us he would refund our money spent.
We called the EVOLVE TEAM according to instructions only to receive an email stating because we did not follow proper procedures they could not refund our payment to them in the amount of $484.62. We had to get another hotel costing us another $400!

Cozy farmhouse cottage stay on a horse farm as we traveled to the Smokies. Lots to do locally and our host was available and very informative about his horses. A big bonus was four babies were born while we were there!

Everything was as stated in the listing. House was well stocked and very clean. Access to visit with the horses was amazing. Can’t wait to come back!

We absolutely loved the cottage and the interaction with the owners. If you do not look into it- you have missed a wonderful opportunity.

We pretty much just slept in the home, but my wife had time to enjoy the horses as well. This is a wonderful location and great place to stay.

We loved every single thing about our stay! We could not have asked for a more perfect home base as we explored the Lexington area. Spending mornings and evenings with the horses (especially the new foals!) was pure magic! John and Debbie were incredible hosts and it was wonderful meeting John as we enjoyed our time with the horses.
4.8
Comfortable cozy cottage with views of horses and rolling green pastures out every window! Centrally located for day trips and a relaxing place to come home to at night. John and Debbie are welcoming, friendly hosts who add to the charm of staying here.
Nice to roam the farm and entertaining to watch the foals romping in the pastures.
Serene and relaxing

Nice place for our stop on the way to North Carolina. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

What a great little cottage on a beautiful horse farm! We arrived from Florida to some very cold KY weather and fired up the wood burning stove which kept the whole house warm! We used Lexington as a home base as we visited 2-3 distilleries a day! We took day trips to Louisville, Frankfort, and Bardstown with a few in between. While at the property we took walks and visited with the many horses that call it home. The owners are on site and very responsive and we loved talking with John who shared lots of information about the farm. Highly recommend this country retreat.

My fiancé and I went down to Kentucky for the weekend for a wedding and stayed here. We wished we would have had more time to stay, it was absolutely beautiful! The cottage was so cute, well kept, and very clean. It was amazing to be surrounded by beautiful horses too. Staying here was like a tiny paradise for us and it was so peaceful. The owners were also very nice and said that we could walk all around their farm, pet the horses and take pictures, which we did. All of the horses were so sweet and friendly! My fiancé and I loved this so much, he already is planning a time for us to go back. If you are looking for a place to stay in Kentucky, we highly recommend staying here!!!

Everything was perfect!
Such a comfortable space with everything you could need provided. Cannot wait to come back!
Thank you Debbie and John for sharing your cottage and farm!

This property was advertised as a charming cottage on an idyllic horse farm. It is in fact a trailer that is in dire need of a make over. The single window air conditioner did not reach the bedroom making sleeping uncomfortable and the shower was not usable. We had booked the entire week and stayed less that’s 24 hours. After promising a full refund for the unused portion of out stay, the property manager later said they would refund only a small portion.

Beautiful!
Absolutely loved our stay! Sweet little cottage! Comfortable, clean, and excellent what we needed! Mr. John was very kind and we had the best afternoon visit the Mare’s and foal’s just out the front door!

This property is so dreamy!!! My daughter and I took a mother-daughter trip to horse country, and boy were we living the dream while we were there. The cottage is located right by the foul barn and paddicks. At night we would go and talk to the horses and pet them. The fireflies would come out and it looked like the whole property was glowing.

Super friendly owners. Beautiful scenery and we got to see a lot of horses. If you want a quiet place this is great. If you want a place on a budget this place is great. It is an older place, but it is clean and the ned was comfortable. Could it be better, sure but you can say that about any place. The cemetery out the bedroom was a little odd but no real complaints overall.

Great little farmhouse surrounded by horses and a beautiful sunset.

Amazing
We absolutely loved it here. I love horses and could not believe I found this. The cottage was simple but very cozy and had everything you needed. My idea of a 5 star hotel. It did not have WIFI and only a few channels on the tv, so you would need to use data, but honestly I didn't care, I walked out among the pastures several times a day. John and Debbie were great and it was awesome to see a real working horse farm and all that goes into it.

This property was clean and ready when we arrived. The host Debbie did a wonderful job. It was quiet and enjoyed the view of the horses. Was easy to get to places from this location. Would like to try to go back sometime.

If you’re looking to see horses and do horsey things, you can’t get any better than this property! The house is right in the middle of a farm with several world-class thoroughbred mares and their foals just out your back door! The location and the owners are what make this property so special. Mr. John has decades of experience with horses and was generous with his time in talking with us and showing us around. He is such a kind man! We got to see a foal being born one night and it was the absolute highlight of our week in Kentucky. We could walk outside and pet the horses and see the foals whenever we wanted. The area is absolutely beautiful, green paddocks and lovely trees. The location is perfect for exploring Kentucky Horse Park and Keeneland and Spy Coast Farm and many other horse-related attractions. While you’re in the middle of the country, you’re also not far from necessities like grocery stores and restaurants. The house was very cozy and comfortable. Ms. Deborah was available for questions and made us feel right at home. We definitely plan on returning here in the future. It is a true gem!
