I got spammed with emails after booking this rental for the weekend. Saw one email that said “you’re good to go!” with the address and a check-in time, so I didn’t look at it again until we were ready to check in. I realize that one of the dozen emails I received was a link to Vacasa business

The property was very clean I’ll give it that and the bed was comfortable. Plenty of towels. But it advertises a fireplace but no wood; a tv but only accessible with a roku that did not work. No corkscrew so we could not enjoy our wine that we brought and wanted to enjoy with a warm fire.
The parking area was completely muddy and the worst part was the place was advertised as being on ground level but it didn’t say you had to walk down a steep, unsafe with no handrail, walkway to get to the unit. It also advertised beachfront with a fire pit and chairs which we did not see at all. Very disappointed in this place. Very stark and not homey at all.

Overall a nice place but 100% agree with other reviews put a lamp in the living room! Yes there are some overhead lights by the kitchen but they don’t light up the living room, easy fix spend $100 on a floor lamp. The owner should go there at night and it will all make sense.

Location is good and the place is clean but bare - would recommend an end table next to couch and a baking pan. We can hear people walking above us and had a hard time sleeping. Property manager was very quick to response. No safe access to beach area - be careful. The loud noises above us did not provide us the tranquility we were seeking during our stay.

Wonderful stay
We had a very cozy, relaxing lovely stay. It was warm and clean with a beautiful view, right infront of the beach. Would definitely recommend it!

Not what was pictured
cheap and minimal . Deceptive photos of beach access-- yes, high on a hill. The pictures of steps to beach needed to include the incredibly steeps first flight down,.on photo could not easily be accessed to beach. Very deceptive.
lightling in side awful, had to push couch to kitchen wall to get light for reading. place is set up for cable watching , uncomfortable if that is nit visitor preference.
Lawn chairs for eating chair at the table-- come on , that is really cheap. Get proper chairs for a table.
Heating was really noisy, spending time in the main room was uncomfortable with 2 wall heaters blasting out heat and sound making conversations hard.
Overall not hospitabe and relaxing place.
Kitchen ok.
getting from parking area to entrance down the walkway lit ok, but thorny branches overgrown and falling to face level, creeping blackberries handing down into walkway.

Nice location missing some details
Nice location, some small issues with details, no light in main living area, coffee maker left dirty with grounds. No chairs for table or desk. Outside door light not working. Just obvious that little attention to details are given.

Underwhelmed on Whidbey
This rental was perfectly mediocre, we were pretty underwhelmed. This review is written with both guest and property owner in mind. My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights. The pictures were misleading and incomplete. Clearly the pictures were taken some time ago; just after yard manicured, the trees and bushes trimmed and apartment finished and staged for the photos. The yard and property was overgrown with dried, dead weeds as tall as me and long dry grass wasn't even raked up and laid all over the walkway and path/steps to the beach. It looked like the house had been empty for months and they did the bare minimum before we arrived.
It was mediocre at best. Biggest complaint, it provided basically nothing, no amenities so nothing to do but nitpick everything.
The freezer was dripping into the refrigerator which needed to be monitored and cleaned up. There was a note on the fridge about the water being drinkable but not tasting like you're used to so bottled water was provided but there was no bottled water. I don't care if you don't give me bottled water, but don't tell me you've provided it and then not provide it. The coffee maker didn't work right because the pot wasn't the right size to push up against the drain spout.
The water didn't drain right so the coffee filter overflowed and got grounds all into the coffee. More than half of the track lights were burned out. There was no end tables or lamps in the living room so it was very dark at night. There were no brochures about the area, no books, magazines, games or anything to do. The sink in the bathroom was clogged and backed up whenever the water was on. No shower curtain, just the white plastic liner that was stained. Carpet had a lot of stains on it too. We don't mind simple and don't care about fancy but there are some bare minimum things you come to expect to be provided that weren't. It would be a nice place with a little effort and TLC. Suggest you have someone go and check out the property for yourself.

December retreat
Enjoyed our time here. It is a nice space for a quiet get away. Very clean. Close access to the water and easy drive to other attractions (Fort Casey and Bluff Trail). Since its dark so early, would have liked more light in the living room. As stated this is a patio unit and so sometimes you hear the people above you. FYI, Kitchen minimally stocked, would be difficult to prepare big meals but worked fine for just two people.
