Super cute comfy cottage. Was perfect for my husband and I, plus our two kids (13 and 6). Our 13 year old slept on the sofa sleeper and we brought a camp cot for the 6 year old. We were able to cook dinners, tons of normal cookware provided, anything you could need to cook a dinner at home. Love the secluded driveway, very private and super covered by trees so there was shade and kept the place cool during the nasty heat wave. It was clean. Plenty of things to do at the property but also so close to a grocery store, thrift shops and a shopping area. Plus lots of little restaurants close by. TRY THE MEADERY, Heirophant was amazing. Such good mead. Drinking mead by the fire pit and doing smores was a fun night activity. Check out Double Bluff beach too. Really cool spacious beach. The whole area is a vibe, the cottage started out the whole weekend vibe and it was great. Bonus: cute family of deer live around the property so we spotted many of them many times through our stay and they were friendly.

Cozy cabin in the woods! We loved it and would definitely stay here again. :)

It was kept clean, but it does need a refresh - carpet and bathroom. I enjoy my coffee in the morning, so it would have been nice to know I needed to bring my own.

Mouse poop on countertops, dinning table, furniture, all over the floor. Vacasa will not get back to me despite several emails and phone calls. I never asked for a full refund but I did ask for appropriate compensation for having to clean the rental everyday of mouse poop. I unfortunately had to kill a mouse. Vacasa does a very poor job of dealing with their renters. I will never use Vacasa again and will tell others to avoid them as well.

We needed a place to stay in order to attend a family gathering. We didn't spend much time in the cabin but it was clean and comfortable. Just what we needed.

We were super excited to stay here as we were in whidbey for my sisters wedding. This place was a super cute retreat for us at first glance. However, when we woke up after our first night, there were mice droppings in multiple places that were not there when we arrived. This made us feel very uneasy, and we decided not to stay there again with an active rodent infestation . This means that we went to my sisters wedding with our stuff packed, and left for home on the last ferry off the island. I let the hosts know and asked for a refund, they said they would get back to me. I checked back after a couple days and was told the same thing. The only communication I’ve gotten from them is asking me for a review of my stay.

We loved our stay in this retreat in the woods. It definitely will be a place for a future visit. Peaceful, just the right amenities, close to resources when needed. Even experience NW wildlife including lots of deer and an owl! Would highly recommend.

The kitchen has every piece of equipment you could possibly want and the cabinets had a wide variety of spices and condiments. The bed was very comfortable. However, you should be aware that the price of the seclusion is having to travel for a stretch down a bumpy poorly maintained road and then a dirt road. Would be good if you have 4 wheel drive

Our get-away to Whidbey Island was enhanced by our stay in this sweet little cottage. It was clean, convenient, warm, and comfy. Also very private and the perfect place to relax. Although we didn’t cook, the kitchen seemed to have everything necessary to whip up a good meal. We would choose this place again.

Homey cabin close to Freeland and the highway but secluded in some trees. We’ll stocked kitchen. Internet kept going out one night, but was good the rest of the time.

I loved being in the woods for a few days but you are next to a freeway and a good 30 minute walk to food so you will definitely need a car.

Nice quiet place close to amenities. We have family throughout the island and it was a good spot to stay.

Better than a hotel
This location was exactly what we needed. The cottage was very convenient with having a full kitchen and almost every type of cookware required for a Christmas meals. The pullout sofa worked great for our younger kids though we did have to borrow a blanket from family since there was only bedding for the main bed. The driveway is very tight and curves aggressively at the bottom so anybody with a large vehicle needs to be careful. We were able to pull a crew cab long bed truck into this space, but it was close. The kids had a blast on the nearby hills and tree swings, especially after it snowed. We did have an issue with the water line to the hot water tank freezing during a cold front but the quickly responding maintenance tech found the issue and resolved it in a timely manner. We would not have an any concerns renting this again.

Great place - but power outage
This is a wonderful, comfortable cabin. Unfortunately, a severe windstorm hit Whidbey Island just after I arrived, and the whole Island was without power for several days. I had to leave early; without power it was cold, dark, and I was unable to cook, etc. I look forward to trying it again when things are back to normal. The hosts were wonderful throughout, in the midst of the blackout, giving updates and helpful when I needed to leave earlier on than planned.

Cozy Cottage
Cottage was great. Used it for a hunting trip on Whidbey Island. Great location and atmosphere. The deer in the front yard every morning were a nice touch. Lol. Would definitely stay here again.
