Great house, great location. Some maintenance/aging issues, but did not spoil our trip. Had a very nice time.

PROS: Proximity to the beach. Every bedroom had a bathroom.
CONS: Main fridge went out and we lost several hundreds in meat and food. Ceiling fan blades were loose and couldn’t be used. Bathroom doorknobs were loose. Dryer took 3 full cycles to dry a small load of clothes. Bed linens were dirty. The hot tub quit working after the first day. The pool deck had weeds growing up between the planks. The steps to the beach were overgrown with weeds. We called and were told the “local managers” would be contacted but we never heard anything. The kitchen is stocked like a 20-year old’s first apartment; not a knife sharp enough to cut through hot butter. Extremely disappointed. We’ve been coming to this same area for years and have never had an experience like this. I feel bad for those renting after us because there is too much needing repaired in the six hours between check out and check in.

Highlights of this home are sitting on upper decks with amazing views of ocean! Quick access to beach and beautiful sunrises!

We all enjoyed the house - size was perfect for 11 adults. Best thing about house was location to beach.
Walkway to beach could use a refresh, lots of sand and weeds make it difficult walking on it. Overall, we had a fantastic time!

This house is presented as well stocked, well maintained and beautiful. It is not! There aren’t any knives to even slice a tomato. There are cob webs throughout the home, broken furniture, dryer requires three cycles to dry, walk way to the beach is over grown and full of sand that makes the walk almost impossible, 50% of stove burners do not work, light bulbs out, tubs not draining, downstairs toilet is loose and dangerous. I could go on and on. They say… call us we will repair but that did not happen. Why would anyone want to spend their vacation getting someone else’s home repaired. When we did call because the pool heat didn’t work, they sent a repairman to fix a coffee table. Just bad all around experience with Vacasa. I won’t rent from them again.

The good: Location
The bad: Property is poorly kept and extremely dated. Don’t let the photos fool you. A sampling of issues: Flat screen tvs listed for the bedrooms are 13”, carpet leading to the top floor was stained, burned on kitchen range are broken, deck on top level sags and has loose railings, fridge in kitchen has broken parts, beds and bedding are awful, kitchen supplies are lacking and what are provided are in terrible shape, a few very old beach chairs and one umbrella are provided so count in having to rent or bring on your own, bottom floor housing two bedrooms is dark and unwelcoming. I could list many more issues but you get the idea.
Ugly: check in was delayed several hours - cleaning crew of ONE had arrived after 2 pm and was not even close to finished cleaning by the 4 pm check in. Even after a light cleaning was completed several hours beyond check in, the house remained inadequately cleaned (food remnants remained under one bed), lacked comforter for another bed, etc… Pool and hot tub had not been cleaned. Home had industrial fans in the basement as home’s bottom level had flooded leaving a nice musty smell for the guests staying in the bottom floor bedrooms.
Have been in contact repeatedly with Vacasa and told I would receive calls from the ‘local’ reps but still no call back.
Have been vacationing in OBX for over two decades and have never encountered such poor service and accommodations. Spent $20k for one week in season at this home and will never rent this home again and will avoid Vacasa when searching for next year’s rental home.

Ocean front location and working hot tub were nice and size of house. We made the best of a neglected house. Coffee table leg about to fall off, chairs at table wobbly. Surface cleaned at best, floors hadn’t been mopped, moved the nightstands to plug in chargers, big mistake! Filthy, cobwebs on all night shade lamps, cobwebs on dining room table lamps, decaying food on floor by dishwasher, (have pictures). Sheets threadbare, oven broke, repairman said it was too old to get parts, paint peeling off onto our hands on stairway bannisters. Too much to get fixed in a week, disappointing at lack of management and owner attention to details.

We enjoyed our stay.
The property manager was accessible and most responsive.
If the pool and hot tub are what attracted you to this listing - read carefully and ask questions - we did not (our fault).
The house is amazing.
All five of us had rooms with king/queen beds and our own bathrooms.
The upper level is amazing - the best views - an amazing kitchen - and a great living space.
The four out of five is probably more a function of our failure to read and ask questions - but we were really looking forward to swimming in the pool - two of our three days were 80-degrees, in November, in North Carolina.
We had a great time.

As others have mentioned, some of the appliances were not working or not working well - an inconvenience that can be easily overcome by the great location, pool, hot tub, views, and the house's layout. Each bedroom was very comfortable and quiet!

The tile and laminate flooring and the room layout are perfect for a family with kids and dogs. Having the beach and pool in our backyard makes this perfect for our grandchildren.

Disappointement
I would not recommend staying at this house. The house, pool, or hot tub was not clean when we arrived. The heated pool quit working half way through our stay. The hot tub was busted from previous stays. The Fridge in the basement didn't keep anything cold. Coffee maker leaked every time you made a pot of coffee. The stairs to the beach were covered in sand and made it hard for elderly people to make it to the beach. Contacted management about all of these issues, but have failed to contact me back after multiple attempts. All of the electronics in the house are all outdated, even the manual for the house is dated from 2008.

Nice but not worth the price
The house was nice enough but was very outdated, needed some repairs, and had some broken appliances which was very inconvenient. We enjoyed our stay but felt we paid for more than what we got.

Location great. House served us well but needs some updates especially new refrigerator on top level. Plenty of dishes and small appliances and lots of room to store food. Downstairs area with pool table was really nice

Location of this property is great. Home is a little outdated and has some things that need attention but overall we had a good and relaxing vacation.

Do not rent this house!
There were so many problems with this house.
The upstairs thermostat was broke, the stove didn’t work right, the main refrigerator was all rusted, many lights didn’t work or flickered, the hot tub cover was falling apart, the sliding glass doors were difficult, the toilets did not flush right, the water pressure when showering was horrible, you always ran out of hot water when showering, the drive way flooded when it rained, the front yard was full of dog poop when we got there, and the dryer took three complete cycles to dry one load of clothes. The pictures of this house makes this very dated and dirty house look much better than it is.
The only positives were the size of the main area and the house has a nice layout. But over all this was the absolute worst house we have rented in OBX in 15 years. So disappointing and frustrating.

Great house but the cleaning and furniture needs some help
The house, location and kitchen stuff are great. Hot tub is good but getting old. Out door furniture broken and old. Pool table is high quality and awesome. Many of the dishes were dirty and the walls in the kitchen had food splattered everywhere. Beds are good as is the bedroom furniture. All other furniture except the dining room chairs are also nice.

do NOT rent Sea Esta!!!
This property is in dire need of a makeover! We rented it for 2 weeks and were so disappointed. I called maintenance every day for the first week. Some of the issues were: beds that we literally couldn't sleep on, TVs that didn't work, the remotes were scattered everywhere through the house, slow drains that needed unclogging. trash in bedrooms and on pool deck, screen doors are laying outside on the grounds of the property, refrigerator ice maker didn't work, refrigerator filter needed replaced, top refrigerator in general was shot, one of the burners on the cook top didn't work. That's the small list that I can think of but I know there were more issues. The curtains are dusty and some of the comforters smelled like dogs. Save your money and don't stay here! We've been coming to OBX for 25 years and this was the WORST. So sorry I rented for 2 weeks!

Great house/location; needs some TLC
Location was great and house comfortably sleeps a lot of people. Beach was very private. My 3-star rating is based on the fact that the house has a lot of wear and tear, and is not very well maintained, i.e., 2 sleep number beds had totally caved-in mattresses, not all burners on stove worked properly, light bulbs out, bees all over front lawn making it unusable for games, screens not on sliding doors, propane tank almost empty, trim falling off some exterior doors. That being said, property managers were very responsive to our calls. House just needs some care and updating. Still thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely location, beautiful home, TLC needed
Our family of 10 adults and 5 children thoroughly enjoyed our week! The rooms were spacious, nicely furnished, the kitchen well equipped. The pool area was really nice and it was a short distance to the beautiful beach. However, this property needs some tlc and an extensive cleaning.
TLC: bedroom #2- door lock broken, blankets with holes, mattress broken; one of the bed frames in bedroom #3 was broken; bedroom #4 had part of the flooring missing; toilet seat in bedroom #6 broken; dryer took 3 cycles to dry an average load; front porch light had a short and continuously blinked while on, grass growing through pool deck and some boards need nailing; upper deck furniture falling apart and many nailheads sticking up from boards; stove top igniter(s) not working or constantly clicking.
Cleaning: ceilings with dark, hanging cobwebs; ceiling fan blades filthy; inside & outside of kitchen cabinets, drawers, dishes, silverware and stove dirty; hair in bathtubs.
Lastly, please do an outside sweep for trash and garbage (beer cans on the porch!) around the exterior of the house before guests arrive.

Sept 2019
This property was the perfect location, large enough for our huge family! LOVED having the ability to all it down and eat together. The pool and hot tub were great! Disliked having sand in the bed sheets before we even got a chance to sleep in them. The railings on the deck definitely need to be updated, a few of them were really unsafe so we kept our toddler off the deck. Also, the windows need a deep clean. Other than those little things, we loved it! We will definitely be back to Corolla in the future!

The cleaners were so nice but not finished cleaning until 4:45 and the top two twins were not made. The deck needed some updating but otherwise we really enjoyed the house, the location was perfect and house was fully stocked with what we needed. It was a great vacation. Thank you

Great 4 generation family vacation
We enjoyed our stay, comfortable home. Plenty of room to spread out and not be on top of each other. It was wonderful to awake to a beautiful sunrise and hear the ocean waves crashing everyday. Pool/hot tub were great fun. Close to shopping and food. Would stay again. Only downfall: lots of steps if you have knee trouble it might be challenging. No cushion on kitchen chairs so if you sit and talk for hours it gets uncomfortable. :)

The whole family really enjoyed our stay. We would book again in the future.
