About this house rental
Enjoy all the upgrades of this comfortably designed and decorated, detached home just minutes away from town and the lifts and walking distance to the village. This 4 bedroom/loft with den, 5 bathroom home is located right on the golf course and will sleep 11. This home offers a state of the art kitchen and the living room featuring a flat screen TV and comfy sectional and chairs. The master bedroom has a king with a fireplace, flat screen, and private bath. The second bedroom has a queen bed, flat screen TV and a private bath. The third bedroom has a queen bed, flat screen TV and a private bath. The fourth bedroom has a bunk bed with a full on the bottom and twin on the top, flat screen TV and a private bath. The loft has a queen sofa sleeper and Foosball table! There is an additional den with a comfy couch and flat screen TV perfect for a kids hang out! The unit also offers a washer/dryer, WiFi Internet Access, two car garage, and private BBQ. This unit is not pet friendly. All guests receive complimentary full access to Snowcreek Athletic Club to enjoy facilities including indoor heated pool, steam/sauna, full fitness facility, yoga, pilates and cycle studio and more. The house fits a large group comfortably.
Dishtowels are listed on the things supplied with the house. They only supply 2 kitchen towels, so bring your own. If you want to sit out on either deck, bring some chairs. If you do your own cooking/baking. They only supply 1 tiny oven mitt. (Who can remove a casserole dish from the oven with 1 mitt?) Bring your own. If you don't like to sleep on flat pillows, bring your own. There are no casserole dishes supplied. The pots, pans and cooking utensils leave a lot to be desired.
We didn't use the oven the 1st day, so we didn't think to check it. The next night we fixed some casserole dishes and when we went to put them in the oven, we discovered the oven racks were broken!
The kitchen looks good, but I don't think anyone really ever does any serious cooking/baking in there.
In spite of the kitchen issues we all had a good time.

This was a very nice home. Very spacious and roomy. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, which was perfect! The house is at a perfect location making it close to stores and restaurants. Mammoth reservation staff was also delightful. They were very helpful with anything we needed or questions we had. This was the second time we booked with mammoth reservation and both times have been great.

Overall good experience that could of been better. Very nice unit that just seemed a little tired & neglected. Nice Foosball table, but no Foosball, no dishwasher soap, no laundry soap. Nice upper & lower floor decks but deck tables & chairs shown in unit pictures were non existent. TV's were streaming only. To our surprise, loud banging construction started at 6:55am Friday morning on ours & the surrounding units, & continued until about 11am. Last thing, bring TP, the sand paper supplied is nasty.

Third year in a row staying in a stonegate property. Perfect location for snowboarding and wonderful place for kids. Everything was perfect! We look forward to coming back next year.

Overall the house was clean however there was no cleaning supplies at all to clean a counter top etc., no vacuum so that we can clean after ourselves during our stay , overall poor quality on supplies , dishes etc. the house is 4 bedrooms I don’t know why it’s listed as 5. I was very disappointed at that and also the pictures appear to look the house twice as big than what it is. Won’t stay there again

This home has so much potential. Very spacious. Great bone structure. The kitchen and great room are wonderful for large groups to hang out in. However, the home needs a lot of love and upgrades to be called a luxury home. The house is in desperate need if a deep cleaning. We dropped some thing under the sofa when we went to retrieve it, there was so much dirt and dust. It was quite disgusting. Even the small coffee table in the great room has not been moved for cleaning so much dust and dirt behind and under the beds. The vent above the stove is filled with grease, the sofa is very old and saggy. It is difficult to get comfortable sitting on it. The towels and linens were very scratchy and not soft at all the master bathroom had one sink with a huge hole in it and could not be used. The front of the house is on a busy street. The master bedroom is in the front of the house, and there’s quite a bit of noise when sleeping with the window open. Unfortunately, we had no choice but to sleep with the window open since it was broken and could not be closed, the balcony is amazing, but they provide no furniture to sit outside so one can simply stand to enjoy the view. The kitchen was well stocked overall, but no wine, bottle opener, and no wine glasses. Again for a cabin I might expect that, but not for a luxury home. For the amount of money they charge in for this home, I would have expected much more. I am a frequent VRBO and Airbnb traveler, and have stayed in many Mammoth rentals. This is not on the top of my list with a few upgrades and some deep cleaning, however, this house will be a total gem!!!

This home was great size way and had a of sleeping room as was mentioned in the listing. I just didn’t like that the kitchen was not very well stocked with mixing bowls and other common things that would be needed. The house was also on the older side. The location was amazing literally walking distance to the Village once you get out From the house onto the Main Street it was down the road.

Stonegate stay
Our Stonegate #5 3-day stay was an excellent. Property was beautiful and very well located. Accommodations for the 9 family members worked out great. Kitchen was very well appointed, and the living room was spacious, provided ample seating and was very comfortable. All in all, a perfect spot fir a stay in Mammoth Lakes.

There is no 5th bedroom, inconvenience?! The rental needs a lot of repairs/maintenance, rug in the living room area is filthy, not pleasant if walking barefoot, propane tank empty, one of the bedrooms had no remote, television cable box in the living room was not working, very difficult when using the streaming app. Overall great location; however, management company needs to step it up!

Tons of differed maintenance and safety issues
We booked this cabin for my dads 60th bday for 3 nights. The good: The check in process was smooth. The cabin is pretty and in a great location. The bad: the cabin was not thoroughly cleaned and we found beer cans under beds and couches. The master bath sink was clogged and overflowing. The WiFi did not work. The Ugly: my 62 y/o mother sat on a chair in the living room not knowing that one of the legs were broken and injured herself pretty bad. We had to cut our trip short and leave a day early because of this.

I wish I could say it was better!
I think we were just so excited to stay in this beautiful house that when thing went wrong they went very wrong. The house is beautiful and has a great location but there are some thing that we can't look past especially when your are paying A LOT for one night ( it was high season)
We recently stayed at this home from January 3rd to the 5th. We had discussed with one of Mammoth Reservation employees to have an early check in since we had family flying in from Australia and Denmark. We had an elderly grandmother and a baby- they knew this and still were not accommodating. We even changed our stay from the 2th-4th to the 3rd-5th because the people staying before us were leaving on the 1st. The cleaners has over 24 hours to clean from the pervious party but when we arrived at 1 pm to pick up the key, and was told we could not check in before 4 pm. That was just the beginning.
We got the key and went to the house at 4:00pm, sadly to be disappointed with these major issues:
The House was DIRTY! I should have l reread the previous VRBO comments about how dirty it was.
There was glitter (big & small) pieces all over the house and with a baby thats just not ideal.
The floors were disgusting.
When we turn the oven to make a family dinner it started a FIRE because the oven was not cleaned properly ( according to the fire fighters) and it bursted into flames! The whole house was insanely smokey and NO FIRE ALARM went off! Thats scary! We ended up calling the Fire fighters!
In the upstairs bedroom was blood stains on the mattress cover which is just GROSS and cleaners should roll that up and throw that away!
The internet was awful. Anywhere in the house.
Guest bathroom sink was clogged and overflowing when we arrived.
Fireplace button to turn fire up or down broken so it was HOT OR no fire.
There were multiple dishes and utensils that were very dirty. GROSS
The bottom of dishwasher was full of old food.
The windows were dirty, very dirty. Window seals looked like they were avoided for a while.
Remote in the downstair bedroom had no batteries- inconvenient.
The remote in the living room had no back on remote.
Overall the experience with the house was not very good.
We paid premium dollars for the place and was disappointed the way the house was presented to us. We have rented from Mammoth Reservations before and have never has these issues. It was disappointing how Mammoth Reservations dealt with the situation when we brought it up to them

Mammoth is a beautiful area .. we loved it.
As mentioned when we made our reservation, our family traveled to the area for a family wedding. Our daughter, husband, and 9 month old crawling grandson joined us.
The floors at this place were DISGUSTING, dirty and down right gross. So, I spent
3 hours of my paid vacation at this place, cleaning the floors fully and completely so I could hopefully relax and enjoy my stay without worrying about what was on the floor.
It was very apparent that the cleaning people mop and sweep these beautiful floors from the centers and walkways, all debris is found in the corners and edges. We found pieces of glass, earrings and loose crews. Look behind every door, you will find debris.
It was very apparent that the living room rug under the coffee table has never been vacuumed. We simply rolled it up for our stay. Hopefully someone will vacuum for the next guests.
upon arriving and sitting on the couch, we found fresh finger nail clippings. Someone had clipped their fingernails and had left us their treasures. So yes, this too had to be disinfected with the wipes we brought.
As ,mentioned, we were here for a wedding !!! There is NO IRON & BOARD at this place. We had to jump in the car and search the town for an iron and ironing board.
Crazy that you spend this kind of money for a place like this and NOT have an iron.

NEW FAVORITE PLACE!!!
Growing up, my family took trips to Mammoth at least twice a year during the ski season. I’ve stayed at MANY different places in Mammoth and I can honestly say, I will never stay anywhere else. The house has beautiful wood finishes, vaulted ceilings with curved beams. I absolutely loved the floor to ceiling windows. The place was very clean and had a huge (looks brand new) couch, with comfortable leather chairs that all sit on top of a beautiful rug. The kitchen was huge with 2 islands and 2 sinks, an oversized pantry, a subzero fridge, with brand-new appliances, such as the toaster oven, coffee machine, blender, and toaster. The kitchen cabinets were fully stocked with nice plates, bowls, cups…you name it. Another MAJOR plus was that every bedroom had a private bathroom and new TVs. There was even a separate living room downstairs with at least a 65inch TV and plenty of space for people to sit for a movie night. There was also a nice size laundry room and a huge 2 car garage, which was very clean may I add. And the foosball table added a ton of fun for us all. And last but not least, LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!! The house was walking distance from the village, which made it even more convenient to get on the gondola and hit the slopes!

What Mammoth is all about
Been here before, and the owner has significantly upgraded the house. New furniture, WiFi, Flat screens in all rooms. Everything was nice and clean. Plenty of space especially the family room. It feels like home away from home. The best part is being 5 mins walking distance from the Village and the ski lifts to Mammoth Mountain. Can wait to come back again.

Favorite place to stay in Mammoth. Beautiful!!!
I just took a 6 day vacation with my family to Mammoth and stayed in Stonegate 5, this is where we always stay every year. The minute we walked in we noticed all of the wonderful upgrades that have been done to the place since our last visit. You can tell the owners have upgraded it to make it feel like a home away from home (but way nicer than my actual home lol). There's a new big couch upstairs in the TV room, new area rugs, new pictures on the walls, new decorative pieces that really add a nice touch to the place, and a new Foosball table. They have updated all of the counter-top appliances in the kitchen to stainless steel and have filled the cabinets with new nonstick pots&pans, new silverware, new cups, and wine glasses. They have new dressers and TV consoles along with new leather chairs in the upstairs and downstairs TV rooms. What caught my eye the most was that they have a TV in EVERY bedroom/ room of the house, and they're all new, which is a rarity.
I also love staying here because its walking distance to the Village. There is a grocery store and pharmacy along with many other useful stores just around the corner. I will definitely be staying here again the next time I go to Mammoth, I miss it already!!! You won't regret staying here!!!

We really liked our condo with beautiful wood, very high ceilings, beautiful but poorly equipped kitchen, walls of huge windows, and state of the art baths.

Great Property - - Needs some TLC
We absolutely love going to Mammoth and stayed here over Easter weekend and had 9 people and we were all very comfortable. The location is perfect and super close to the village and town. The house and the finishes is beautiful, however it would have been nice to have a bit more upgraded furniture (sofa has a cushion ripping off, and past it's worn out date) for the amount we're spending, as well as enough living room furniture to fit the number of people that can stay in the home. The kitchen is a great size for a lot of people, however the dishwasher wasn't working upon our arrival, but we did call maintenance and they did come and fix it. There was also a minimal amount of supplies, including forks and spoons, cooking utensils. Overall we loved the home, just needs a little bit of TLC (Paint touch up, tighten up door handles, replace lightbulbs, etc.)

Great House - Size and Location; But Disappointing
Stonegate is an amazing, luxurious community and the homes are large and spacious. I have personally stayed at this house on 3 separate occasions. However, the house was very rundown. It was very dusty throughout (you could see cobwebs in the window, dust in the corners). There were walls that were stained or marked up and exterior window that was shattered, stuff you wouldn't expect out of a luxury rental. The TV's are very old and small and should be upgraded.
In addition, when we arrived, we could only enter through the garage. The front door area was blocked with snow 3-4 feet high (I know Mammoth has had record snow this year, but it hasn't snowed for over 10 days). The balcony was also covered with snow and unusable. Fortunately, our group dug out all of the snow so that we could enjoy the beautiful weather.
I expected more. I realize this is a rental, but there are other options available for roughly the same price.

Stonegate 5 Mammoth
The Stonegate 5 home itself has beautiful style and structure. Close to everything. It is however, badly in need of refurbishing. The living room furniture is falling apart and one of the barstools is literally on its last leg. Rug has pink tape holding it in place and sofa is very sad. Kitchen has lots of dishes, pots & pans but no mixer. Large window in living room had a broken outer pane of double-paned window possibly due to snow?? Bedrooms were okay. No pool table or hot tub. The biggest negative was you can't check in until 5 pm.!!!! Also checkout time is 10:00 a.m. (An hour or two too early given that we couldn't get in before 5) Thought price should have been lower for what the house had to offer.

Amazing lodge
Absolutely LOVED this place. Huge lodge with plenty of space, comfy beds, breathtaking views, close to village and slopes. Not a thing was missing. Tv room has a fireplace and additionally sleeps 3-4 more people. Patio has bbq. Honestly the coziest big cabin we've stayed in in Mammoth. Only negative is that we didn't stay longer! Will most definitely return!
