The first-level game room has a pool table, a leather-furnished media corner with a TV, stereo, wet bar, full fridge, laundry nook, half bath, and deck access to the private hot tub and pool. On the second level, out of two oceanfront bedrooms, one is a main bedroom with a TV, deck access, and bath with tub/shower.
The furnished den has oceanfront deck access, TV, and WiFi. Bedroom two has two singles, a TV, and is close to a full hall bath with a tub/shower combo. Bedroom three is an oceanfront main bed with deck access, a TV, and a bathroom with a shower. Bedroom four has a double, bunk beds, and a TV. The huge upstairs great room is a classic with tall ceilings, a gas fireplace, an extra-large TV, a stereo, and a half bath.

Location was awesome views from the deck and inside the house looking out to the beach and ocean were amazing. Even with hurricane Debbie, it was still awesome to sit inside and see the ocean turning. Everything we needed was equipped in the house plenty of room very comfortable. It was our first time back since losing a family member in 2016 and we couldn’t have asked for a better time. Pool and hot tub were used a lot. We had so much fun will be back next year.

Our first visit to Avon,NC and Off-Duty did not disappoint. Our only wish would have been to have the ability to heat the private pool. Couldn’t have asked for a better week.

Have stayed in this house multiple times over the past 10 years, but it makes me sad to see the conditions getting worse. Owners really need to spend money on updating appliances and fixing the floor in the game room. You can hear the dryer running from the basement all the way on the third floor.

Perfect location. Nice views and wide open floor plan. Went for week of fishing and took minimal clothes because of the washer and dryer … mid week attempted to do laundry and the dryer did not work so we had to dry our clothes outside ( thanks goodness for nice weather ). Rental company was notified so they could get the issue fixed for future renters and they said they would forward the issue to the operations manager. Never heard back.

We had everything we needed at this property- you couldn't beat the views and the hot tub and pool made this location top notch. We would recommend this house to anyone! Only things that could use a little improvement were the mattresses and the furniture, but those things were not a big deal with all the other positives this home offers.

Everyone loved the hot tub, pool, and easy, quick access to the beach for fishing and castle building!
The kitchen was fully equipped but a Keurig coffee maker would have been an extra bonus :-). We appreciated having the linens provided.
We will certainly put this house at the top of our list when we consider next year's vacation to the Outer Banks!

I loved the spaciousness of the top floor, the second floor's bedrooms with its own den, and the bottom floor for private entertainment as well as the easy access to the pool/hot tub....

A really nice home to vacation at. All beds & furniture very comfortable. Only drawback is No info on how to use the various TV’s is the house. After 24 hrs. someone at Vacasa was finally able to help. For future use, I personally left the instructions on how to use main TV. Instructions would have been really helpful, otherwise a great stay. All the cookware & utensils were of good quality. Back next year!

Last year the TV was not the best. This year the TV was 10 times worse. All internet with poor choice of news and financial channels.

Wonderful vacation home away from home! You can’t beat the view and waking up each morning to a beautiful sunrise on the Oceanfront! It was also close to stores and places to go out to as well. The kitchen was well stocked and was the perfect space for a family Vacation! Can’t wait to someday enjoy another stay here!

Great layout in this home. Loved the access to a bathroom and refrigerator for cold drinks on the first floor just off the pool deck! Nice new smarts tvs and comfortable furniture in this house. Kitchen was well equipped. Beautiful ocean views from the living room, dining room and kitchen. Plenty of outdoor furniture plus beach chairs and pool tools. Would definitely stay here again!

We totally enjoyed our stay at “Off Duty”. This property provided everything a large family could hope for on vacation. It also has a hint of rustic charm but superior accommodations. The pool area is superb with considerable privacy. The views from the upper decks are breathtaking. This vacation home is a catalyst for creating wonderful family memories that will last a lifetime!

The house was the perfect size for 10 of us. It wasn't cramped at all and I liked the layout. Being right on the beach AND having the pool was a plus. It was nice having a second refrigerator on the ground level whereas the kitchen and living area was on the top floor. If you have bad knees or elderly people, probably not the best fit. A dumbwaiter would have been nice with no elevator. There were an exponential amount of trips up and down the stairs. The two things I was not crazy about is the one towel and one wash cloth per person. At least 2-3 would have been nice. It made for a lot of laundry. The other issue I had was the coffee pot. It must be at least 20-30 years old, the base plate is completely rusted, and it took about 20 minutes to brew a pot. That's a long time when you have 8-10 people waiting for coffee in the morning. We really enjoyed the house overall. Next time, we will bring our own linen and our Keurig machine.

This is our 2nd time at Off-Duty #10. We loved it so much we knew we wanted to stay again someday. The place has been upgraded a little, new flooring upstairs in the main gathering space. The house was super clean (impressive!) The pool and hottub clean and everything worked perfectly. The location is incredible, waking up to the ocean waves with coffee in the morning while setting on the top deck with your favorite people. My husband loves fishing from the pier and it's cool we can see him in the distance from the deck as he's fishing. The kids flew their kites, the surfers and board surfers were a blast to watch.
The neighborhood street is small and quiet, the people of Avon welcoming and warm. We hope to be back again someday soon.

Excellent home, prompt service.
We happened to come into town the night before a nor’easter storm hit. There wasn’t much to do on the Island the week we stayed due to the storm, however the pool table and hot tub kept 3 teenage boys and us adults occupied! The winds were so high and severe with the national weather conditions that houses went into the ocean, however we had no issues. Simply just a little shaking that knocked a picture down that ended up breaking. The company immediately got back to us and even offered to come clean up the glass. Everything you need besides food is in the enormous space! You won’t regret renting this home!! It’s absolutely stunning views are worth it even during a nor’easter!!!

Wonderful Vacation
We had a wonderful time here!!! The house was well maintained and very clean at arrival!!!! The cleaning ladies were so nice and let us swim about back as we waited for them to finish! Thank had two families and had more than enough room!!! The hot tub and pool were amazing and well maintained !!!!! The view is one in a million.

House was great. Cleaning service could do a lot better. A few dead bugs and trash left behind. One shower curtain had mold on it. Beds was made and towels was put out already which was great.

Lovely ocean views, great house
We loved our stay at Off Duty! Beautiful views from every window, and the upper deck was where we spent every morning to watch the sun come up over the ocean. The pool was a huge hit, especially for the kids! Since the ocean in OBX is pretty rough, the pool was a nice way to stay cool and hang by the house when the kids were too tired to walk to beach. The house was very clean and spacious. Would definitely stay here again!

Beach was beautiful and not busy or crowded at all. The pathway to the beach was clear and not far from the house. The house was clean and well kept. Furniture was in good repair and very comfortable. Pool and hot tub were very nice and we loved them. First floor game room and fridge were a great addition. Kitchen was big and had everything we needed, loved the big refrigerator. Check in and check out were easy and we were kept informed on what we needed to do. Put in a request to have the pool light fixed online and someone was sent and fixed with within 12 hours.
The house swayed a little at times which is probably Normal for a beach house. The shower water pressure was extremely low at times which was a problem. Top screen door would not close but we left the sliding glass door closed with the ac. I would recommend the app as everything was laid out there and easily accessible.
We would 100% stay at this rental again and will refer our friends and family.

Off Duty review
We had an awesome vacation recently staying at Off Duty. We absolutely loved the location, the ocean view from the back deck, the pool, and the large kitchen and dining area. The house configuration was perfect for us and the house was in good condition. Plan to return next year, too.

Fun Family Vacation
Off Duty fit the bill for a week’s vacation with our children and grandchildren. The great location made this a perfect spot for watching fireworks off the pier. The house was comfortable and the pool was a super benefit.

The sliding doors were not functioning well and a few of the locks didn’t work. Almost all of the pot lights up stairs were burnt out. As far as cleaning, the house overall appeared to be clean on the surface but we found men’s underwear covered in dust under the bed, loose pills on the deck, and our small child discovered CBD gummies under the dresser in the master. All things that could have easily been seen if the house was really cleaned.

Spectacular view and value
The house was incredible - great location just steps from the beach. Tastefully decorated and the pool and hot tub are great. Multiple levels for spreading out - only critique would be the coffee maker - it could be nicer.
