Beautiful house with gorgeous views of the sound located in the heart of Avon, very convenient too
Needs to be cleaned better between guests, though, especially hard floors
Also kitchen and kitchen ware needs an upgrade

The property needs a good deep cleaning and needs to be inspected by either a maintenance supervisor or the owner. There were no remotes for the tv in the den or the kids room. We didn’t watch tv because the weather was great! The beds were comfortable.

Loved staying in Natalie's home. What a view and those sunsets! Pretty windy while we were there (March/Apr are windy and attract a lot of windsurfers etc - great viewing!) but plenty of sunshine so did lots of exploring. Would definitely recommend. Thx for a great 5 days, Natalie. :)

Met friends here for spring break and really enjoyed our time despite it being the off season. We loved the property. Everything was great and in working order even though we were the first renters of the season. The view of the sound is unparalleled. The kids especially loved being out on the private dock and decks and the sunsets were absolutely breathtaking. The new hot tub is amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
The owners were very responsive, so friendly and easygoing. The property manager was also super nice and attentive.
The ONLY thing we could suggest is that the property may need a new dryer as it struggled to dry the towels and linens, but that is literally it.

We came as wife, dad, child and grandma. We came in January wgich was 40* and windy. We stayed for 7 days and enjoyed about three sunny days. We're from upstate NY so we know how bad winter is. We loved this get away and knew the weather would be cold as it is almost everywhere in the winter.

Wonderful view. Grocery store and restaurants fairly close
Appliances could be updated (one burner on stove not working, dishwasher drawer rolls out unto floor, squeaky dryer). Enjoyed our stay!

We enjoyed our stay on the sound in Avon. After being there it seems that Avon was the most happening place around, compared to other towns. There's a Food Lion a short distance away, and many restaurants. We enjoyed 3 beach days even though it was October, and loved being able to take our 4 wheel drive vehicle right onto the sand/beach.
The house fit us all perfectly for 8 people. The kids loved the bunk room and being able to watch TV in there to wind down. You do have to trek up 3 flights of stairs to get to the kitchen, which makes unloading cumbersome, but it seems that that's pretty normal for the area- most houses are 3 stories with the living room/ kitchen on top floor. It was also a little strange that we couldn't control the air temp ourselves, as you tell the host, Natalie, what you'd like it set at when you check in. We made do though even with our wide range of ages and preferences.
The kids had a blast fishing from the dock, we even saw stingrays! The hot tub was very nice and Natalie was quick to help us when it seemed we had messed with the controls too much.
Try to read the guest journal that is in the living room at the beginning of your trip for some good tips on the area, instead of at the end like I did, haha.
Overall we had a lovely time and enjoyed our stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this home. It was spacious enough for 5 of us to have our own bedrooms...the bedrooms had enough closet space and the public areas were gracious. The top floor has a killer view of the bay (as does the second floor with the hot tub). We enjoyed multiple sunsets from the hot tub! The house is conveniently located (for us) close to our kite surfing and beach activities as well as to nice restaurants.....Thanks for a lovely stay

Really nice property. Clean and very well equipped. Communication with owner/manager was great. It was just my wife and I in this huge house. We loved it. We’ll plan on coming back with some friends so they can experience some beautiful sunsets with us.

Great location, right on the bay and well situated in Avon, which especially in the winter is convenient to be close to the Food Lion as many other places are closed. For the people that consider kitesurfing, the water in front of the house is shallow enough to water launch easily, the house has its own pier as well. There is an island further north (big island) that can be easily kited to from the house, definitely a great/nice kite spot in that regard! One minor thing to mention is that one cannot adjust the thermostat by themselves. I think there had been some HVAC issue caused by some previous renters in the past, hence one has to contact the owner to make temperature adjustments. The owner's response though was always very speedy and helpful with any requests we had.

The house, the grounds, the location is all wonderful and as advertised. I'm not one for long reviews but I just wanted to highlight the property manager. Had lots of texts back and forth with them with advice on kiteboarding spots and other things about the island and they were always quick to respond with useful information. This is a huge asset whenever you are traveling and I can't thank them enough for all their help. We absolutely plan on staying there again.
