About this house rental
Thank you for taking time to consider The Chalet for your Beech Mountain get-away!
Upstairs you will find a remodeled kitchen with an oversized dining table as the centerpiece. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and tableware for a crowd. The coffee pot is dual-purpose with a 12 cup carafe as well as a Kureg option. (We also provide a moka pot and french press.) The pantry has plenty of space for your own food and snacks. We carved out space for the cozy chaise couch upstairs for reading and relaxing. There are two spacious bedrooms upstairs - one with a king-sized bed, the other with a queen. Each upstairs bedroom has internet TV and DVD player. Upstairs and outside you'll enjoy a wrap-around deck with string lights, a coffee nook, Adirondack chairs, picnic table, and a propane grill.
Down the vintage spiral stairs you'll encounter the downstairs living space. Two couches, 55" TV, game cabinet, coffee table - the kids will love this room! We even left the VCR and extensive VHS collection for our 80's and 90's friends to enjoy. We locally sourced barn wood for the accent wall and standing desk - perfect for charging laptops or playing cards. The oversized laundry/mud room is perfect for all of your ski & snowboard gear, with a functional utility sink tucked into the corner. Both spacious downstairs bedrooms have twin beds, internet TV, and the bathroom is clean & cozy! Electric baseboard heaters throughout the house keep you warm and toasty in the wintertime.
Behind the house is a covered deck with string lights overlooking the firepit. We provide some firewood for your outdoor fires. There is ample parking on two levels. We are located on a flat and quiet street with several empty lots surrounding our home. It's a wonderful place to relax and recharge.
The Chalet is located about five minutes from the Beech Mountain Resort entrance, and another five minutes from the Buckeye Recreation Center. We are walking distance to Fireman's Park and the Wild Iris hiking trail.
Beech Mountain roads can be curvy and steep. The Chalet is on a Town of Beech Mountain road that is maintained but it is at a high elevation and subject to the whims of our mountain weather.
During the winter months or whenever snow is forecast, we insist that your vehicles have 4-wheel or all-wheel drive. Even if your vehicle has 4-wheel or all-wheel drive, snow chains are highly recommended.

We had such a fun long weekend here! The big table upstairs was perfect for family dinners and game nights.

I literally was the only one who went up and down the VERY narrow spiral staircase for the entire week. No TV or real sitting area in upstairs (main area where kitchen is)….we would’ve had to go outside and in the door downstairs to use that living area and it was just too much of a hassle, so we never used the downstairs AT ALL. I would not suggest this house for many reasons, but this is the greatest. The house was clean, however, very dated….all the way down to the 70’s golden yellow shower behind that shower curtain you can’t see in pics. The “AC” is one device in upstairs living area that does not have any venting into any rooms…at 67, we were still hot at night….menopausal women be warned lol! There were hundreds of moths glued to the sliding doors at night, making reentry fun as well. Lots of gnats and small fruit flies in kitchen area. The only positive was that it was clean…excluding our small flying friends in the kitchen area! The homeowner was also very accommodating and allowed us to do an early checkin! There’s a great mountain bike trail at the end of the road as well. Really close to Beech Mountain Club and Buckeye Rec Ctr. I would prefer not giving a not so rave review, but I would’ve liked to have had more intel on the layout, as well as, the reality of the stairs and narrow spiral stairs inside. I’m 125 lbs. and had trouble coming in and out of this home….seriously. FYI….the only way to lock the door is to scale the spiral staircase! Bring a petite friend

Everything about our stay was perfect. The house was stocked with everthing you needed. We love the deck with the gates for the dogs. The dogs loved watching the deer come down the mountain. It was another BEST WEEKEND EVER! Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us.

This house was close to Beech mountain and fully stocked with everything we needed. Couldn’t have asked for a better house! Fireplaces were out of order for maintenance, so check on that if it’s important for your stay.

Thank you for a lovely stay! The property was clean and very well stocked. The small community of Beech Mountain is sweet and there are some good local restaurants. Be sure to visit Fred's Mercantile as they have everything you might need! The roads are very twisty and steep so it may have been more difficult in snow/ice, but very possible in any other weather. The house has two wood fireplaces so this was lovely, particularly over Christmas! The kitchen was well stock and the square footage of the home is greatly increased by all of the outdoor space. There are many stairs so this house might be tricky for someone with mobility issues, but otherwise the house was lovely! The rooms were spacious and comfortable.

We come to the mountains every year as a family to get our Christmas tree. This was our first time staying at the Chalet and we had such a great time. The property is so nicely appointed with everything you can need for a comfortable stay. We would gladly stay here again.

My family very much enjoyed the stay at this home! The property is as advertised and has a lot of fun touches like board games and dog gates on all the decks. There is also a hiking trail right at the end of the street that my dog, brother, and I went on. We would definitely recommend.

Everything about the Chalet over exceeded our expectations, the location was perfect, Chalet was well stock with everything you could possibly want when away from home. Definitely Ben&Liz have put alot of care so that anyone staying at the Chalet will have an unforgettable experience. Looking forward to another stay at the Chalet soon!!!

We enjoyed our two month stay in The Chalet. Liz was gracious and accommodating each step of the way. The charming home was well organized, very clean, and well appointed with any kitchen and household supply imaginable. The house was decorated and adorned with class and warmth. The bed was comfy and cozy especially on cooler nights. We enjoyed our home away from home and thank The Prices for their hospitality.

This is our second time staying in this amazing chalet. It truly feels like a home away from home. The location is perfect. The cabin is spotless and is stocked with all the essentials for a perfect weekend. I’m so thankful for Liz’s kindness and hospitality. We can’t wait to return again.

This house was beautiful and so accommodating for our family of 6 adults, 1 infant, and 2 dogs. It was extremely clean and well stocked with supplies. We were unable to really explore the area due to rain all weekend, but hope to come back soon to do some exploring. Thank you for being great hosts!

We really enjoyed our stay at The Chalet! The house was very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed all of the amenities, games, and books. They even had an extra pack and play and sound machine for our one year old! The kitchen was fully stocked for us to cook all of our meals and the check out process was so easy. We really enjoyed this place . It was clean and very comfortable. The hosts were accommodating. The wall was very thin between us but they respected our space . I would recommend this duplex to anyone that is looking for a place to rent in bend .

We had the most wonderful time here at this chalet! It is roomy and very comfortable, and beautiful! We all had plenty of room and were able to all sit at the table together (there were 7 of us!) I would recommend this place and hopefully will be able to come back ourselves.

Quiet location. Extremely clean and very well equipped. Enjoyed the fire pit and watching the deer roaming the surrounding areas. Ben and Liz were quick to respond to our inquiries.

Have you ever stumbled across something so great that you didn’t want to share it for fear it might not always be there just for you? Well, Ben and Liz’s chalet is that place! Not only is their home beautiful and welcoming (they even had it decorated for Christmas for us!), they’ve provided every little thing you could possibly need. The kitchen supplies enough dishes and glassware to serve an army, plus a roaster and crockpot. Our kids loved the toys, games, coloring books and movies. They even had sleds for us to use! Ben and Liz are ideal hosts and responded instantly to our questions. In short, this is the perfect mountain chalet you’ve been wishing for - almost too good to share!

This property was in the perfect location! Just 8 minutes from the ski resort & places to eat. House was clean and just enough space. The host did a great job with communication and making it feel like a home. Would highly recommend!

The Chalet was exactly what we needed. Perfect location, short trip to Beech for skiing. Details, details, details! The owners have made sure you feel at home. I can't think of anything we were missing. They were so proactive in their communication with us when an ice storm was approaching, ensuring we were adequately prepared. They even kindly shipped back to us a lone stuffed animal my daughter left at the property. I would HIGHLY recommend this beautiful property for your next trip to Beech.

This one is 5-Star all the way. The place was super neat and clean. The hosts have thought of every possible detail to make your stay great, and it shows how much thought that they have put into it. We loved staying at this beautiful rental! Our home was equipped with everything that we needed to be comfortable and then some! There was a lovely reading Nuuk with an awesome selection of classics available in different spots throughout the house…as well as games to play and fun decor! The kitchen and dining area were very nice and the 2 story split plan allowed for some personal space between kids and adults while resting! I loved that each room had a fan/noisemaker which helps us rest so much better! Be prepared for a steep accent up the driveway on arrival……but I promise you won’t want to leave once you get there!
