Perfect for a weekend getaway, or a relaxing setting for your business trip. Roomy studio with amazing views. Convenient to all locations in Eureka and Humboldt. Room for two adults for now, pet-friendly for up to two small critters! Kids can sleep on the floor or couch if needed. ***RECENTLY UPDATED!!! See latest pictures! Our stay here could not have been better. The Boathouse was the perfect property for my husband and I. It was quiet , just the right size, stocked with all the right stuff. Kate was a wonderful host and so accommodating. We felt very safe and relaxed. So nice to stay in a reasonably priced home as opposed to a noisy hotel. Easy access to the local area. We highly recommend and will definitely stay the next time we come to town. Great distant view of the bay and so nice to hear the fog horn in the distance.

The Boat House was the perfect getaway from the desert heat. Although it’s close to the 101 with easy access to beaches and majesty of the Redwoods, it has a rural feel, quiet and private. Beautiful inside and out. Spotless, super-soft linens and a comfy bed, personal touches everywhere. Kate and Ollie were warm and welcoming, the perfect hosts. Would love to visit again! I highly recommend!

The studio was clean and well laid out. Kitchen and bathroom were well stocked with everything you could need. Kate was warm and welcoming and Ollie was a charming little guy. Close (20 minutes)to Headwaters Forest Reserve where we had a beautiful hike through the Redwoods. We loved the walks along the bay (close by) and spectacular sunsets visible from the deck. It’s a short drive to old town with cute shops and 2 real bookstores. The zoo/redwood skywalk is also a short drive. The Boathouse was a perfect place for us to stay and we recommend to anyone visiting Eureka.

Yearly coast trip for me, my adult son and our yorkies. Bed was comfortable for me we took cot for my son. KATE was very sweet. We enjoyed being able to access Eureka and north coast . Pretty close to 101.but not too close. Great walking trail close drive from the house. Very reasonable cost too. Do plan to return..

Kate (and Ollie!) are welcoming and friendly. The Boathouse is beautifully decorated and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The views are fantastic and there are so many options for food and recreation nearby. Look forward to our next stay love the location.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Boathouse, and it exceeded all my expectations. The property was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, making for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The amenities provided were vast, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a seamless, relaxing experience. The location of the Boathouse is ideal, with easy access on and off Hwy 101, making it convenient for exploring the surrounding area. Despite its proximity to the highway, the property was remarkably quiet, providing a peaceful retreat with a beautiful view. Communication with the owner was excellent; they were responsive, friendly, and ensured that all our needs were met. I highly recommend the Boathouse for anyone looking for a relaxing and hassle-free getaway. A definite return home!

I had never rented through Vrbo before. 1st time experience in a gorgeous place called the Boat house. The manager Kate is an amazing lady. I abolutely love her and how much love she put into the place i stayed in. If id known how much i would enjoy my stay, i would of added a day or 2 more. This is a wonderful place to stay. The host is tremendous - responsive and very friendly. The view from the balcony is awesome - the sunsets are gorgeous over the bay. Just off 101, it's easy to get to wherever you want to go. Kitchen is well stocked. We will be back!!!

Excellent place to stay on the south edge of Eureka. Very clean and comfortable. Beautiful view from the private balcony.We would stay at the Boathouse again, for certain. It was perfect for two adults and our mini berniedoodle.

This place is a studio apartment with a wonderful view of the bay; sunsets are exceptional there. The host is wonderful and very responsive to all communications. Great internet speed, very well stocked kitchen and refrigerator. Access is close to the 101 which makes it easy to get where you want to be. This was our second time staying here and we will definitely be back. Being pet friendly is also a big deal for us.

From the fresh lilies on the table to the view off the deck, everything was perfect. The decorations and personal touches were amazing and relaxing. This was our second week at the Boathouse. It's a great home in one room with cheerful, sea faring decor and a well stocked kitchen with full sized appliances. All the seasonings are there, and even Peet's coffee, soft drinks, water and many staples. The owner is lovely, helpful but not intrusive. Easy access to the beach (across the street, with hiking trails through the woods), and fishing, shopping, dining, hiking and more. Our dog was welcome and had his own water bowl waiting. We drove from La Jolla, and even though it is far, we will probably go back a third time! It's a great base to enjoy the splendor of the Redwoods and some great seafood!

We travelled to three different vacation rentals on our west coast road trip and “The Boat House” was, by far, the most stunning. The attention to detail was more than we ever expected and there were so many little extras provided. Everything you need for cooking, snacks, drinks and beautiful dinnerware. Going to the beach? Towels and beach bag provided! The most comfortable bedding and thickest, softest towels ever. Beach decor was exceptional and unique . Outdoor seating on deck , surrounded by lush greenery afforded great spot for sunrise/sunset. We were surprised with koi pond around the house and trickling wall fountain. Greeted every morning by neighbors horse, goats & chickens, The studio is across from owners home, so very private, but, I must say, the host was the best part! So very thoughtful and accommodating to every need . She definitely went above and beyond. This place is our new favorite and we can’t wait to return!

Almost perfect

We loved almost everything about this place. I’d give it a 100% except for two things. The bed is a little small and needs replaced due to a sink hole. And it was hard to understand tv. Maybe due to the surround sound. Other than that it met all expectations and then some. We would and will stay there again. We just stuck a pillow between mattress and slept pretty good. Owner was excellent and would’ve tended to any need we had. But we didn’t have any.

Located on the south edge of town overlooking Humboldt Bay and the Elk River delta. Adjacent to a small farm so goats, geese, chickens, and many wild birds are neighbors. The property's extensive decorations include pictures, books, sculptures, shells, and other marine artifacts that support the Boathouse theme and reflect Eureka's sea-facing history. The owner has stocked the fridge and cabinets with a well-chosen assortment of drinks, condiments, spices, and food items to compensate for the things that guests (like me) invariably forget.

Perfect location just far enough out of the way with literally a shopping mall 5 minutes away. Property is absolutely beautiful with an ocean view. Owner lives on the same property but never intruded and was incredibly nice and accommodating. House is clean and comfortably with everything you need supplied. Can't wait to go back! Thank you!

This property is just beautiful. You feel very at home and it is very nicely decorated. The deck in the afternoon is fantastic to look out over the water. It was so nice to have all the things we needed, such as coffees and teas and condiments in the refrigerator, along with sodas and waters. What a treat! We really enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. A great location to explore the redwoods south of Eureka and north of Eureka.

We met and married in Eureka and came up to spend our 40th anniversary here. This studio apartment fit the bill. It was clean and cozy with a very well equipped kitchen. We usually have a travel kit for when we stay at a VRBO, but I don’t think we needed anything out of it this time. The apartment is beautifully decorated and the bed was comfy. You could see Humboldt Bay from the little deck and the sunsets, when we could see them, we’re spectacular from there. Our hostess lived across the driveway and was attentive to every need. One night the power went out due to an unfortunate accident on the highway and she came right over with a lantern to make sure we were ok. She also texted us with PG&E updates. We would definitely stay there again.
