It was peaceful exactly as described

Cute primitive probably old hunting cabin under beautiful pine trees. The cabin inside is well kept. Nice hidden piece of property just needs some old unused things cleaned up under the leaves but overall was a very nice 4th of july weekend for us and our large dog.

When we entered the cabin, the bed wasn’t made and there was trash in the bin. Someone had either failed to clean it between guests or someone had been staying there illegally.
We were unable to contact the host through the Vrbo app. We located a phone number for the host on their property management site and contacted them through WhatsApp. The host stated to give them a few minutes and they would sort it out, and issue a refund.
There was also an issue with the power not working. On two separate screens, it indicated “low battery”. We sent detailed videos showing that the power was not working. Our messages were left on “read” and the host did not reply. We were left without power, access to lights, oven and the freezer for the duration of our stay. The host never provided any solution to the dirty sheets, or the power.
After unanswered messages, emails and phone calls, we are leaving this review and awaiting a refund as promised by the host.

When we first arrived to the cabin we immediately knew our trip to this little getaway was going to be wonderful. For a couple wanting a romatic getaway that loves nature this surely was the place! We loved the cabin, the porch the fire place where we cooked all our meals and sat outside in the evening under the blankets snuggling and admiring the beauty of the trees and the wildlife. The cabin was so clean and taken care of we didnt have to do anything to feel welcomed and at home. We have been to this cabin a few times now and will continue to come up enjoying the wonders of all the seasons at this quaint cabin in the woods! Ee highly recommend this cabin to anyone and at any season!

This is a 5 star place if you’re into rustic living. Read and understand the ad and you’ll be in good shape. This is totally off the beaten path but they do have lights, a nice, easy, and effective propane fireplace, and a 5G hotspot (although cell service seems to be fine there, overall). The place was spotless and you feel as if you’re on your own in the world. It’s great.

Had a great time at the Rustic Ridge Log Cabin. Good location for being away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist but close enough to get to all the great State Parks and wineries. Cabin was 'as described' - I brought a solar lantern and solar battery pack to charge my phone which helped out. Bring your own water for cooking and drinking. We cooked one night using the propane stove. No fridge so bring extra ice in your cooler to keep your food and drinks cold. Shower is available but water is cold! We used the shower to wash hands only! The porta potty was decently clean and did not smell too bad. Cabin was clean and amazing not too many bugs around. Great location at end of dead end road. Very quiet and cozy. Thank you!

The area was beautiful. The cabin was nice and we knew it would be rustic. But in the listing they listed in amenities, refrigerator, oven and stove. There was not. You needed to take a cooler with ice for sure. We ened up having to leave not long after we arrived due to my husband being stung by something and having a bad reaction. We informed the owners we were leaving and why, and they let us know they spray twice a year, so they were aware of a problem. I understand acts of nature are no ones fault but there wasnt any sympathy given by owners. Our experience was bad but i hope it was just a one time thing.

It took us a minute to find the property, but once we did it was exactly as described. We loved how secluded it was. We had such a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

Very nice getaway, great for our pups to run, nice fire!
The only negative is that the door did not lock. But besides that, it was a great spot. Would recommend!

Very nice rustic cabin in the woods. Everything was great except a lot of mouse feces on one of the beds. Could also hear the mice in the ceiling at night.

The cabin was everything we wanted our rustic getaway to be. The location is perfect for day trips to Watkins Glen and Hammondsport. Whether you want hiking or wine tours, it’s all right there. Be prepared for a really bare bones accommodation. We had the fire roaring while sipping some wine and whiskey. The only downfalls were the seating inside the cabin. Being the fall it was pretty crisp at night and could have used a couch to cozy up on by the fire but the bed was a good second choice. Also, you need to bring ALL of your kitchen stuff. We only were looking for a pot to boil water but the cabin didn’t have that, luckily Walmart was close by. Overall a great stay.

Beautiful peaceful property. A great place to kick back and enjoy nature. The adventure was going without running water and electricity. We had absolutely everything we needed by packing accordingly. The wood stove provided plenty of heat. We and our Golden retriever had a wonderful time.

The location is located in a world of it's own. It was so quiet at night with skies so clear. It was bonding like our family has never had. We helped build the fires, make our meals & snacks & just be able to put our phones down to enjoy actual conversation with each other face to face. We would love to make this a yearly event if it's still being rented. Thanks for sharing this precious place you own with our family. I would like to remind any future visitors to bring Deep Woods Off as I sadly brought a tick attached to my leg back with me. All signs are pointing to Lyme Disease. A dose of antibiotics & seeing my doc tomorrow. I should have brought the off. Don't let that distract you as the trip is worth every second in heaven

My husband and I stayed with our two dogs for a short getaway. Was a beautiful property just as described. Peaceful, quiet, relaxing. Once we checked in we didn’t need to leave was a great little spot to unwind and relax. Bed (queen) was comfy and cabin was nice size. Outdoor space was wonderful, private. We will be booking again in near future.

It is truly a rustic log cabin! Very quite and relaxing. Definitely be conscious that there is no water, not even a well hand pump. Bed was comfortable and the wood stove kept it nice and warm.

We love coming to this spot with our dog for overnights to grab some bottles of wine and unwind by the fire pit. Cabin in warmed nicely by the wood burning stove and provided blankets. It’s a wonderful little gem tucked away in the woods.

This gorgeous little cabin made the perfect spot to get away and disconnect for a couple days. Plenty of property to walk, and the wood stove keeps the cabin plenty warm - even when the temperatures got into the low teens. I will absolutely be back and look forward to it!

My fiance and I wanted a place to be able to really unplug and reset and Rustic Ridge was perfect!! We usually go backpacking/camping and wanted something a bit more permanent to come back to. The wood stove was a true workhorse and even though we were worried seeing the cold temperature the first night we were there (5 degrees F) it got the cabin up to 65 degrees by Saturday! We had so much fun walking around the property and exploring with our dog--she loved being able to explore everything. Thank you again for sharing your property!!

Great Escape!
I needed to get away for a while, and Rustic Ridge Log Cabin checked all the boxes. Wonderful, private space, but not onerous to get to. Delightfully disconnected, but the cell phone works if you need it. Four nights just flew by, and it wasn't enough.

The location is lovely, the cabin is big and the area around is spacious and quiet. The biggest issue for us was lack of proper communication from the host. You have to be prepared to bring everything with you, there were no firewood, matches, kitchenware, etc. We came after sunset and it was pretty hard to figure out what is where. There is a fireplace and a gas stove in the cabin but nothing you can use to boil water or grill\bbq. It could've been much better experience if we were notified of the property specifics (apart from absence of running water and electricity).

We loved how secluded the property is, and the host thought of everything, the cabin was very well stocked with supplies, the cabin was cozy inside and out, and we loved the firepit and outhouse. This is about as close to paradise as you can get in our opinion! We will surely make this a yearly tradition
