Romar Cottage (House 18) is luxurious, spacious, beautiful, and comfortable! This home's unique design features the living room, dining, and kitchen areas all on the second/top level. From this level, you have a direct view of the Gulf of Mexico (see the pics)! You can watch the sun glisten of the Gulf while you make breakfast from the kitchen, relax on the sofa, or have coffee on the spacious deck! The home also overlooks the pool. Water views everywhere to calm the soul!!
The living, dining, and kitchen areas are designed to provide space and comfort for large or small groups. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need, but if you find that you do need something…just phone or text us and we will have it delivered immediately! A large dining table accommodates 8 – 10 guests with seating for 5 more at the kitchen bar. Off the dining room, you will find a butler's pantry and guest powder room (half bath).
Two bedrooms are found on the second/top level of the home. Three additional bedrooms and a den/media room with pull out sofa is found on the main level.
Spacious decks with plenty of seating are found on both levels of the home.
Outside you will find a gas grill, private outdoor shower, and complimentary beach gear.
The home is equipped with satellite TV and free Wi-Fi.
In the laundry room you will find full sized washer, full sized dryer, ironing board, and iron.

LOCATION
Cottages at Romar is located directly on a stretch of over 500' of pristine sugar white sand beach on Perdido Beach Blvd towards the west end of Orange Beach. The community is nestled among many other residential neighborhoods and private beach homes. The beach in this area is quieter and less crowded than other parts of our area. Cottages of Romar is gated and private, but only a short drive to all the area's best restaurants, fun activities, and nightlife!

CLEAN BED GUARANTEE
All beds are dressed with fresh, luxurious sheets AND fresh bedding/quilts/comforters before EVERY rental! You are guaranteed to have a completely fresh and clean bed!!! You will also find each bathroom stocked with oversized fresh bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, and bath mats straight from our laundry office! We started this in 2018 when we took our cleaning in house and created our housekeeping division. We have complete control over our property cleaning and maintenance.

As common for vacation rentals in our area, we provide one round of bath soaps, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, and toilet paper in the bathrooms. In the kitchen you will find one round of paper towels laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, dish soap, and trash bags. These stocked amenities are intended to get you through the first night. We are not set up like a hotel so we do not provide daily housekeeping or amenity restocking. Please bring the extra items you will need for your vacation.

The house had disgusting carpets in all the bedrooms. The living room furniture was dirty, stained, and torn. I would not stay here again unless the carpets and living room furniture were replaced. The entire house looked like they gently cleaned but everything still needed a good scrubbing.

I visited Romar 18 with my wife and a group of friends. We were in Orange Beach to attend a motorcycle event. The house had plenty of parking for our motorcycles and a couple of pickups with trailers. Parking is often limited at condos in the area and many charge a per vehicle extra fee. No parking passes or extra fees at Romar 18!
The house was clean and as described. We loved it.

My husband and I stayed 4 nights in this beautiful home with our 5 children. We also invited both of our parents. This home was perfect. We had the pool and beach access. Everyone had their own space, privacy, and bathroom. My only complaint is that we didn't stay longer!

Three families stayed comfortably in your beautiful house. It was well equipped to accommodate sleeping arrangements, family room seating, and meals for our group. We had one or two cooler days/nights during our stay, so a few more blankets would have been nice,. Traffic was a little noisy in street side bedrooms but that’s to be expected. Overall a great experience. Thank you!

A beautiful house that was very clean - we could literally smell the cleanliness as soon as we walked in. The open floor layout is fantastic and allowed the entire family to spend time together. Whether preparing meals, playing games, or just lounging around, the open area was awesome for us. There are 2 beautiful balconies, and you can see the beach easily from the upper balcony, which is off the open area. All of the bedrooms were very spacious, and the bathrooms were roomy as well. I would say the house is a lot roomier than the pictures illustrate.
The property managers were very helpful and responsive. Not once did we have to wait long for a response from them, and if we had any issues, they were very quick to respond and provide information or resolutions. They even checked on us a few times during our stay for updates on how things were going. Kudos to them.
There's only a couple of things I would recommend after enjoying this property: a couple of bikes, and better bed pillows. The mattresses were a little soft for us, but I understand that can be a matter of preference. Those things are minor, and didn't spoil what turned out to be a great experience.

The home itself is absolutely amazing! The neighborhood, location & proximity to local attractions, and the pool are just an added bonus! $2000/night was steep but everything was absolutely perfect for my 30th birthday celebration and I would definitely stay here again!

Gorgeous Property/ Best Beach Vacation Ever!
We spent a week at Cottage 18 and had the best time! We loved that all three adult couples had a king bedroom, and our grandchildren enjoyed the bunk room. The other infant and toddler slept in pack and plays in the remaining bedrooms and everyone had their own bathrooms. We ate many of our meals on the porch, which overlooks the pool, which was so nice. The kitchen was incredible and had most everything we needed except a working blender, which we borrowed from a neighbor. The community pool was fabulous! We spent hours enjoying the pool with all of our family members! The beach was absolutely beautiful and was just steps away from the pool. We rented beach setups for the week, which were set up every morning by the nicest company representatives. This property had a very nice gas grill and a charcoal grill on the patio in the garage area underneath the house. Lots of lounge seating to enjoy a beer or cocktails while food was being grilled! The house was cool and comfortable and the rental agents were very responsive to any needs that cropped up during the week. You will love this property! The location was convenient to grocery stores, drug stores, restaurants and shops. We would rent this beach house again!

We had a group of about 15 people and we all were very comfortable. The staff at Alabama Getaway were extremely accommodating when we asked them for anything, but we really didn’t need much. The elevator was super convenient and we really only used it to get our luggage in/out the home. We enjoyed a lot of family time eating breakfast on the top deck every morning and enjoying the beautiful scenery. We had fun playing in the pool as it was directly in front of the home. The proximity from the home to the beach was excellent because we are spoiled and must have a home steps away from the beach. The beach was not too crowded in the area of the community and we enjoyed every moment relaxing and playing volleyball. The house was well equipped and the grocery/liquor stores were super close. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I will definitely consider this home again if I’m back in Orange Beach!
