Great house for a group! Amazing location near town. Kitchen had everything we needed and great space for socializing. A few things on the listing weren’t correct (mainly there isn’t a hot tub and one of the bed configurations wasn’t correct) but the hosts were quick to apologize and said they would try to resolve the listing. Very communicative and made everything easy. Wish check in was earlier but they made check out as easy as possible!

We decided to stay at the Hobbit House for our annual friend ski/snowboard trip. None of us had been to Big Sky before so didn’t know much but this ended up being the best location ever! We were within a 10-12 min drive of the mountain and then only a 4-5 minute walk to the town center which was so much fun to have close by. We were so happy that we chose this location over others closer to the mountain base. We had access to bars, restaurants (go to Thai Basil!), and grocery stores. We walked here every night to either go out or pick up dinner to bring back. In addition, the house fit us all perfectly and had so much character. It’s a great location for friend group or family, plenty of room for family style dinners!! Overall, every guest was so happy with this house for all the reasons mentioned above and we will definitely be coming back!

Over the top rustic, but well appointed and designed with a practical layout. Open living/dining area, small kitchen, bedrooms spread over different parts of the house, and a separate but convenient game room with lots of activities (pool, ping pong, foosball, and board games). Plenty of firewood, dishes and toiletries. For a family of 5 for 4 nights, we only needed to buy food and drinks. It is conveniently located for access to the mountain activities and town center. We all really enjoyed this house. The management company, including access, answering questions, “checking out”, etc. was fantastic to deal with.

This is my absolute favorite place to stay in Big Sky. It's rustic interior and proximity to downtown make it the perfect mountain getaway.

The house worked very well for my family vacation. Every bedroom, except one has a bathroom. There are two separate living areas, which works really well for a large group. The location was ideal for walking to restaurants, music in the park and the farmers market.

The "Hobbit House" is a combination of log cabin and stones. The whole feel is cozy and old world. It's a short drive to the slopes and just across the street from groceries and a shopping area. Great location. It has 5 bedrooms. One is a master with a huge bathroom. However, you will probably need to share that bathroom with the bunk bed room next to it which has no bathroom of its own. The other three bedrooms have their own baths. The game room was key for evening activities (ping pong, pool, foosball). The kitchen is functional but the oven could use updating (we cooked at home every night). The ample space meant that among six friends, you can spread out for smaller groups or quiet time. Two garages make it easy to keep the cars out of the new snowfalls. The wood fireplace in the main room was a real bonus.

Very unique and funky/fun property. We really enjoyed the fireplace(s) and spacious garage and the plethora of bedrooms for our large ski crew.

The house was well equipped and the location to town was perfect. The property manager had very good communication and provided all of the essentials (shampoo, laundry detergent, dish soap, etc). We would definitely stay here again.

We loved the home and the location was perfect. Amazing for walking into town center to enjoy restaurants, shopping, and a fun concert one evening. We would definitely recommend Hobbit House!

The home was showing some wear and could use a bit of a remodel (particularly in the kitchen and bathrooms) but for the most part we were pleased.

Clean and updated
We have been working in the Yellowstone Club for the past two years and staying at different locations. This location is the cleanest and favorite amongst the crew members.

Hobit House
This property is an awesome place to enjoy Big Sky. Right next to the Big Sky Town center and grocery stores. It is 15 minutes from the slopes but the conveniece of being in town overcame the proximity to the slopes.

If I could give this an 11, I would.
Great house, great location, etc. Owner needs to upgrade mattresses in the bunk room! Outdoor hot tub would have been nice, but it wasn’t listed so wasn’t expected. Kitchen and house well equipped and furnished. If you like to cook in and hang out after a hard day of skiing this is the place! Also liked the convenient location to town and cross country trails. We hope to return next year.
