About this house rental

Our charming 1930s beach house offers a classic New England coastal getaway with plenty of space. Located just a block from the Long Island Sound and breathtaking views of the Thimble Islands. Enjoy views of the Long Island Sound just a block away, take a walk along the coast line, rinse off with an outdoor shower, and have dinner on the deck or patio in the huge private backyard. Or enjoy a meal and live music at one of several restaurants within walking distance.
This 1930s house has been renovated while maintaining its charm. Exposed beams, hardwood floors, and original fireplace offer unique design characteristics. The backyard is very large and private, backing up to a marsh. There is an outdoor shower, patio area with fire pit, and a deck to fully enjoy the beautiful property. The neighborhood is very friendly and safe.

The beach at the end of the road (Limewood Beach) should only be used for short walks below the high tide mark. Above the high tide mark is owned by individuals and is private property. Other beaches you will have access to are Branford Point (5 min drive), Stoney Creek beach (12 min drive), and Hammonasset State Park Beach (beautiful large beach roughly 20 min drive).

Location is minutes to New Haven (Yale, museums, famous New Haven pizza)

We were in town for a lacrosse tournament. While we didn't get the fully enjoy all the amenities and home - it was comfortable, spacious, in a good location.

We stayed here with family for our daughter’s graduation and we’re very happy with the beautiful, clean , nicely decorated home. Had a great time and the owner was very friendly and accommodating. The only thing I would recommend is some room darkening shades for bedrooms. Would definitely recommend this place!

This house served as a home base for us for a family reunion weekend in January. It was beautiful, clean, comfortable and perfect for our weekend stay. It had everything we needed and the owner was very accommodating when we requested a late check out at the last minute. We loved it so much that we are hoping to come back during a warmer time! Lovely lot and lots of charm! We couldn’t have been happier!!

This place exceeded our expectations for our wedding weekend!! We were able to comfortably fit our bridal party with us here!! Great location with Lenny’s within walking distance! Although we stayed in the fall, we would love to make another stay in the future for the summertime!!! Thank you for helping us have a great wedding weekend!!!

This was the perfect spot for our stay in beautiful Branford for our niece's wedding celebration. This home was clean, well-appointed and had all that we needed to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The bedrooms were deluxe and the walk to the beach was a great way to start each day! This property was identical to the listing and was exactly what we were expecting! The owners were so accommodating and responsive. We stayed here for Christmas and they even put up a Christmas tree for us, a nice touch and we really appreciated that. Very clean, nice clean decorations and furniture, easy check-in and check-out, no problems at all. Super super close to the beach, a short 4 minute walk, beautiful beach. I would definitely stay here again!

The property manager was very responsive and the place was super cute and clean. However, the listing said “short walk to private beach”. Turns out while it is a short walk to a private beach, there was NO beach access for us. We walked down with 5 kids under the age of 5 and their sand toys to get kicked off and we had to carry them home crying. There is a beach that you can enter with a pass that is a 10 minute drive (not mentioned anywhere) but I would have never booked a beach house where I had to drive sandy, swim diapered kids home. Certainly not at that price. Nice for off season, but I felt very deceived. PS- he removed the “private beach” from the listing when I messaged him to ask how to get to our private beach

Property is super clean and well stocked. Makes you feel like you at home. Lots of room. The fireplace and fire pit is a nice touch. Close to really good restaurants. Lenny`s is Great for seafood. Very Quiet area.

My family stayed at the house without me. But they reported it was a great house and plenty of room. The only downside is that there was only one shower but other than that it was a very nice place to stay. The owner’s response rate was super fast when I had questions. He was so accommodating when I had a medical issue and my family had to leave two days earlier and he had no issue in refund us for the last two days. Overall great experience!

SUPER Clean, simple/comfortable/neutral interior which means your stay is about you not the hosts decor. Comfy beds, well supplied kitchen, we cooked a lot and did take-out from Stony Creek Market (the cookies, the soup, the pizza!) as well as Lenny’s around the corner. The location is fantastic, quiet, restaurants, bars, package shop and excellent fish monger steps away. The grounds are extensive and lovely, there’s even a tire swing! Our host Rick was super responsive before and during our stay. Enjoy your time in this lovely home, it will be hard not to!

Nice location, 2 min walk to the waterfront. House was well equipped. Clean and comfortable. Would recommend using some non slip pads under some of the area rugs though.

This property was situated on a beautiful piece of land with plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors. The home itself was beautifully decorated and spacious. The beds were very comfortable. The owner couldn't have been nicer. He went out of his way to accommodate our special requests.
