Location and team
hotel a little bit old style

Breakfast was great and at a good price
Amenities were great!
Decorative very nicely
Rooms are noisy
The resort price is high for rooms that need painted
Door ways are dirty and scuffed
Asked for a neighboring room next to my friends, we were a floor apart.

The location is perfect, beach is incredible and the staff was friendly. Had live music. Rooms were quiet.
Parking places so small you couldn’t even open door.
No blackout curtains, it was so bright you definitely need a sleep mask. We were on ninth floor and walls were lime green and just looked like they needed cleaned. Bathroom was renovated but had nasty grout. we were there 5 days and housekeeping never cleaned our room so we had sand on the floor and had to keep it out of the bed. Had our room had a broom we could have cleaned it. Had to request clean towels and housekeeping dropped off towels, didn’t clean and left our door open!

Perfect location for what we had planned for our break. Staff very helpful and friendly at check-in, whilst at the hotel and during check-out. Especially liked the fact the hotel opened directly onto the beach and cabanas and loungers (and towels) were provided for guests. The pool, with outside shower was also a plus. Being able to walk to restaurants/cafes and shops saved us having to keep using the car. Another definite bonus was the on-site parking, especially the underground car park which kept the car cool. Having a balcony was great; the sunsets were stunning. The room was well soundproofed as we rarely heard any of the other guests.
I can't say there was anything we disliked, but the room we stayed in could have done with a little TLC, as could some of the corridors. The complex next door had live entertainment each evening, but this finished at a reasonable hour.

My girlfriend and I stayed for one day , from June 3-4 . From the moment I checked in to the moment we checked out, we were treated very well by our concierge, Sean( spelling?) and staff! Sean even gave us a business card to Island Hoppers, a local shuttle service to a fun place downtown .They were prompt , professional , and very courteous! We took in the beautiful Sunset from the Rooftop Spinners Restaurant Bar & Grill ! when we returned from downtown , we informed Sean we are planning to jointly celebrate our birthdays in August and return to Bellwethers! He cheerfully encouraged us to contact him a week before our checkin and he would help with our stay! This was my first stay at Bellwether! My girlfriend had stayed on her own over 7 years ago . We are very much looking forward to returning in August!

the position is very convenient and with a nice beach club
the hotel is generally dirty, the carpet is very old and the room had an unpleasant smell.
The room is not modern and all the fittings are quite old.
i paid $800 a night and for this price I was expecting a completely different experience.
breakfast non existent.

retro decorating.
I didn’t that there wasn’t an ice machine on each floor. I was disappointed that we had to give up our lounge chairs at 5. we wanted to stay on beach in comfort to watch sunset etc and no chairs. we had to lug chairs out of our car in parking and carry them to beach.
I also think every resort should offer complementary coffee from 6-9 for guests who rise early and want a cup instead of paying 5$.

The hotel front clerk, a gentleman was very nice and made check-in easy. Our room was great, large, and comfy as were the beds. The hotel included a cabana or umbrella at the beach with two chairs. The personnel at the beach that set these up also can take a drink or food order which was great. Slow, but it was a nice thing to have. They work very hard to take care of a lot of people at the beach. Spinners Restaurant was great and our server Isaiah was awesome.
Lobby needs a lift. Hallways need a lift. Doors to rooms need a lift. The bathroom shower needs a lift as well.

Everyone was super nice and so helpful with any questions we had.

The beach cabanas were great and the beach staff were very friendly.
The property is very old. They have painted and dive light renovation of room decor and bathrooms however all the door hinges were rusty, the craftsmanship was poor, and hotel staff were very inconsistent with service. I had a waterfall come through the ceiling in my bathroom one night. Left without towels after I cleaned it up myself while morning staff no knowledge of the incident. They only clean rooms every 4 days and the garbage and sheets needed to be changed. This hotel is extremely expensive with very little value. There is no room service, no hotel restaurant other than burgers and deep fried food on the attached beach restaurant. This food is very poor as well. This is a 2 star hotel at minimum. Finally, due to flight changes we requested to stay an additional night and was told there were no rooms, while 5 minutes later we asked another front desk staff member the same question and they found rooms immediately with no issue.

right on the beach, location we needed, 2 kings were great.
doors stick, very noisy between rooms. slow to receive fresh towels. wishing a little better of a pool area, nice to have it but nowhere near resort type, more like motel.

Views were in matched on St. Pete Beach. Bongo’s Beach Bar and Grill is the perfect place to relax with toes in the sand and have a bite and a cocktail. I recommend the Blue Burger with bacon jam. Wow! Bartenders are great and very attentive. Jordan and Shauna’s service at the bar was refreshing and uplifting!
My only recommendation would be to work on sanding down some of paint buildup over the years on the door to my room (719). I know the hotel is under new management and I think they are still doing improvements.

The location, the staff, the view from the room’s balcony, the double king sized beds great for 4-guests, the closeness to the beach (although because of the unusual cold weather this Xmas season we weren’t able to enjoy the beach, pool nor amenities)
The pool and sun-bathing area are small compared to other beach resorts we’ve been to. The Spinners Revolving Restaurant is nice in terms of the view but the food wasn’t “wow” considering the prices. Also perhaps they’re understaffed during the holidays because every time we called Front Desk no one answered (never). If it wasn’t because we had the Concierge’s mobile who served as bridge via SMS, we wouldn’t have been able to contact the front desk unless you go downstairs to personally talk to them.
