Beautiful location in the heart of the hague, loved the location the vibe everything was amazing from start to finish. Amazing value for money anyone staying anywhere near Den Haag stay here.
The two very minor issues I had were the lack of too my knowlege anywhere to hang up clothes, wasnt expecting any massive wardrobes but a small rail for 2 or three items just in case, and while i never needed anything major at times the response to questions from the owner was slightly slow, but not slow enough to cause problems or take away from the hard work he does everywhere else.

Concept hotel a stile libraio. Arredamento originale
Il Wi-Fi l’avrei messo nonostante tutto perché è imprescindibile oggigiorno specialmente per gli stranieri che sono in roaming.

A beautiful, atmospheric room in an excellent location. Free breakfast in the Bookstor Cafe which has the coolest, relaxed vibe. Arthur is super kind and helpful. Nothing could have been better - definitely not your standard, everywhere-is-the-same, hotel. An amazing experience in a historic house and setting.
4.2
The hosts and cafe employees are so kind! The bed is comfy. The location is perfect. I cannot explain how perfect this room would be for a solo traveler.
Never quiet in the room. You can always hear people from the street, music, and traffic. I didn’t mind this aspect!
4.2
Great spot. Quaint attic room. OSomewhere different from other places we have stayed. Coffee and croissants at the Bookstor cafe were a bonus
Better pillows and shower drain needs some attention
4.2
Plants in the room. Atmosphere, books 📚 and location.
Steep stairs, but it's part of an old building.

Loved the room - light, book-lined walls, art, records, plants and wood. Definite good vibes. Kind host, great locationand cool to get my coffee and croissant at the Bookstor Cafe in the morning. Thank you! Hopefully I will be back :).
4.2
A lovely place, full of character in a very nice part of town. Excellent coffee and croissant in the garden of the wonderful bookstor across the road was a lovely start to the day.
4.2
Super location, very friendly and helpful host, breakfast in the midst of a bookstore, buying books after breakfast
Restroom could have been more secluded
4.2
A beautiful, lovingly, individually decorated room. An absolute highlight in The Hague. The host, Arthur, is very friendly and helpful.
4.2
The host was very friendly and helpful. The room is cozy, quiet and the large amount of books invite to spend more time in the room.
I found the shower to be relatively dark and the sink was tiny. Therefore, it was relatively difficult to shave etc. Also I missed some space for clothes or the suitcase.

good location
it cannot really be called a hotel .
bare minimum in the rooms - I was very surprised at the standard of everything .
my bathroom door did not have a door handle - there was no amenities - it could pass off as a hostel room but definitely no hotel

The Bookstore Hotel is an extraordinary place to stay, inhabited by huge plants and piles of unexpected
books that make most of the décor. Water the plants and talk to them, treat the books with the due respect, and you will be rewarded by the magic of the site. Thank you very much to Arthur for his kindness and his warm welcome, more than a hotel it is a cozy home where you really feel good.
Associated to The Bookstore Hotel you find the Café Bookstore hundred steps away, where you will enjoy a nice breakfast, thank you also to all the staff of the bookstore, always smiling and welcoming

lovely apartment, plenty of room, bags of character. truly unique. Requests for more blankets responded to quickly. Later check out accommodated. Free arrival gifts
Communication was poor. Pre-stay questions not answered. Extremely cold, had to request extra blankets, heater. Would not recommend for winter.

The Owner was very very kind and welcoming and he tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We also got a small free breakfast at the wonderful Bookstore Café. The Room was very well located in lovely neighborhood, we liked the area with a lot of cafés and restaurants in the street. The room was very unique and something special.
It might get a bit cold at night as the room and windows are not optimally insulated. Also we did not find it optimal that the toilet can only be separated with a curtain, which led to a lack of privacy.
4.2
Very charming and unique place to stay, owner and staff were all super friendly and location is excellent. Coffee at the cafe downstairs is amazing.
Lack of hairdryer, suggest to bring your own if needed.
4.2
The individuality, one room, one "staff", books everywhere, steep narrow staircase, ancient building, location, great street, limited but adequate facilities, some nice touches.
Ledge above tiny basin

Very friendly host, perfect location and surroundings, stylish room and sweet gifts.
Poor bathroom conditions.

Arthur and his bookstore colleagues are very pleasant people. His little hotel is a lovely place, really just rooms in a very old building.
it was just wonderful.

Fantastic location. Very large room, basically a whole roof floor with bathroom, sleeping roon and den. A sweet hotel with charcter. It felt like moving into the house of very sweet people. Great coffe and Croissants in the morning...

Nice room, very well located

Wonderfully cosy and unique accomodation. The room is large, the bed is comfortable and located in a quiet area at night. Located close to great shopping, cafes and restaurants as well as public transport to access all areas of The Hague. Staff were warm and friendly and even gave a short history of the building and a gift upon arrival :)
Check in arrangements were slightly confusing but after I arrived everything was amazing.

This place will be forever one of my favourite hotels I've stayed in. If you're interested in books, history and old buildings with no wifi, then choose this place. It triggers nostalgia for the coziness of a log cabin. And the staff there were very friendly, especially Felicia who made the check in for me.
Will for sure come again :)

So lovingly decorated and inspiring! A true treasure in Den Haag - make sure to visit the bookstores yard too!

The room was spacious, light, and full of books, plants and character. As well as a generous sleeping and sitting area, there was a work area with a desk and chair. I was warmly welcomed and felt very comfortable. The breakfast included (taken in the café downstairs or another a short distance away) was simple but good. The location is excellent: a short walk from the centre of The Hague with its museums and galleries. There are excellent restaurants of many types in the street.
I was happy not to have a TV - the books are a lot better - but if that's something that matters this probably isn't the place for you. For more than one person, the bathroom arrangement might be felt to lack privacy.
