convenient, close to station. staff were friendly, and room was clean. nothing to complain about.
can’t say anything negative.

It was clean
The bed was extremely uncomfortable my partner couldn’t sleep properly, we received an email saying check in from 2pm we arrived at 2:30pm and still had to wait until 4-4:30pm before we were able to get into the room due to it not being ready, although it was just a place to sleep for the night it kind of reminded me of a room at pontins so definitely not worth the £83 we paid for the night

Comfortable.
Good location
Quiet
Staff are nice
WiFi never worked in my room but it did in the restaurant
3.4
Uncomplicated travel without interference
Not enough tea coffee condiments for my stay. And they had no white sugar.
3.4
The pizza was brought from a supermarket and not made fresh and I was charged £11 for a pizza that cost a £5 in store

Love the location

All the staff that we met were friendly and helpful and they did their best to help us have a good visit. Good quality items were provided for breakfast. The location round the corner from Runcorn Station made this a great hotel to stay on our visit to the Open Golf on the Wirral.

Staff very friendly and helpful
I was put in a disabled room which I wasn’t told about at the time.So was unable to have bath or shower, as bath was to high to get in and out of being 4foot 11ins, so had to have strip washes and there was no where to hang my clothes.

I booked a extra large double bed room at £71.40 on this site.
On arrival we were given a twin bed room & charged £80!
When I explained I'd booked a double bedroom at £71.40 I was told - " no its £80 & there are no double bedded rooms available."
I booked room on Thursday 8th so they had time to reserve my choice!!

Basic small room with 2 beds.

Good location, quiet place. Staff at the bar and the cleaner on 13 June in the morning were very friendly, helpful and approachable, and very hard working.
Accommodation was poor, with a very thin, tatty carpet, a see-through voile with a big hole in (Room 5), a very small bath and just one hook in the bathroom, and a cheap, thin, bouncy mattress.
Also, the front door wasn't shutting properly, with draft being let in, and it was very hard to lock (I thought I would get stuck in!). The other door in the lobby didn't even shut! I felt very unsafe.
It was also quite noisy outside, with people going in and out.
When I was shown to my room, I first thought these were flats in a Council estate ... A lot to be desired for £60!
Finally, when I told the lady at reception on 12 June (an Asian lady, I think), she had a very defensive attitude, physically and verbally (frowning, her hand on her hip). This made me feel very unwelcome, and showed an apalling level of customer service.

Breakfast room staff very good.
Fag ends all over grass.
3.4
reasonable price and some on site facilities
very untidy, very old and run down, lots of loud people, needs serious work to make it a respectable hotel again
3.4
Comfortable bed
Noisy, narrow spiral staircase

The staff were lovely and helpful, breakfast was very tasty, shower was great, beds were comfortable and clean.
Overall decor of the hotel rooms, hallways, stairways etc needs to be modernised a lot. Lamp shade in the room is very stained, paint splashed all over the outside of the room, hallway carpets/concrete steps could do with being redone/walls decorated to make it a bit more cheery.

The staff were very helpful. We were late getting to the hotel due to a lack of transport after the game but they were so good making sure we got checked in.
Transport to the hotel costs a small fortune taking away the benefit of value for money offered by the hotel. I appreciate that the hotel cannot control the cost of taxis etc but Booking.com could do more to warn travellers when they are booking. The taxi from Liverpool 1 was £58 and to the airport was £48.
