Loved the location of the hotel. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
Our shower was broken so we had to use the shower in a different room...not ideal. Our TV needed a reset as it kept pixilating and buffering making is difficult to watch. The main lamp in the room was also broken. We were woken early in the morning by a cleaner because she thought our room was vacant!
4.5
Good location, comfortable rooms and good breakfast with helpful and pleasant staff. Great value for money.
In this hot weather it would have been better if the windows of our room could have been opened further but we understand the building is of its time.

Staff were very helpful, and location is simply stunning! Will definitely book again, next time without a pet!
The pet rooms are pretty scruffy.....

Comfortable room, good breakfast, quiet, good WiFi, friendly staff, free parking. Pleasant (if rather long) walk to Stirling, bus service.
Some breakfast items (croissants, pastries, etc.) no longer available towards the end of breakfast.

This Hotel is great value for money, set inside the beautiful grounds of Stirling University. Free Parking. Great Full Cooked Breakfast or Continental Breakfast options. Very friendly staff. I’d happily stay here again.
It’s not a dislike as such, just a comment that the rooms are quite dated decor /furniture wise & small TV. However, perfectly clean & functional. Note I believe that the Hotel is owned by the university & not a ‘hotel chain’. Any profits made by the hotel after running costs goes to the university. So I appreciate it’s not anything like a city centre boutique hotel.

Lady on reception was lovely and welcoming. Dog friendly pub 10 minute walk away.
Breakfast was lovely- nice and fresh hot food and a great selection of pastry, fruits and cereals
Room was clean with a Good shower.
Nice surrounding area.
Free parking
As we had a dog with us I sent a message via booking. com to notify them, but no one responded. When we arrived the lady (who was lovely) said she wasn’t sure they had any dog friendly rooms left (which would have left us stranded 4 hours from home). Luckily there was one left so we were able to check in. I would advise anyone with a dog to call in advance to secure a room, as when you book there isn’t an option to select to say you have a dog. Also it’s £25 extra charge (which is ok, but again doesn’t say that when booking).
Our bed and the floor boards above us were creaky, which was annoying during the night.
TV (with a very small screen) signal cut in and out all the time.
Also we attempted to order some desserts from the restaurant, but were told they were too busy, and we could order some via just eat/Deliveroo if we wanted?

Clean affordable room, beautiful surroundings. Friendly staff.
Shower screen and taps positioned so it was difficult to reach. Shower was a mixer hose, had to jump in the bath, lower the shower head to mix the temperature. Could only fill the kettle by emptying cups of water in as it didn't fit under the tap. No plant based milk or biscuit. Too few coffee and tea sachets. Other than that it was flawless.

Quiet, calm and with views of Dmyat Hill
The pool is down the road, not in the hotel

Clean, comfortable room airy and lots of space around the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely.
We had to go and find a cash machine as the card machine was down. It wasn't the staff's fault and they gave directions to cash point and were very apologetic, but after a long drive we just wanted to chill and get settled in our room.

The area was lovely buses very convenient

Beautiful location. A little too far from the city centre for frequent travelling, but the scenery and facilities are excellent value for money.
I was in the city centre each of my 4 days stay, so the Travelling back and forth was a bit inconvenient, though there's a regular bus service on the doorstep of the hotel. That being said, it won't stop me from staying in the future.

There were cobwebs up the sides of the window pelmets.

The location was perfect. Breakfast was lovely and staff very pleasant.
The temperature in the room was a bit difficult to control.

The staff were so helpful and friendly. The front of house team were brilliant sorting an accessible room for me and the restaurant/bar staff were so kind and came over to the table to take my order when I was having issues getting up to the bar to order without me feeling like I was being a bother. The lounge/bar area was so comfortable I sat for a few hours sewing and felt included without having to interact with anyone else.
Overall a wonderful stay that suited me down to the ground.

Staff are amazing, so friendly, and even though they were extremely busy they would go out of their way to help.
Our room decor wasn't great, but the bed was really comfy. TV was small. However, we did have a fantastic time away.

Comfy and cosy if somewhat small room, but quiet; nice breakfast.
At breakfast staff cleared my table and took away my coffee when I was up being served at the cooked breakfast buffet! Do look to see where the customer has gone before you do that please; it isn't rocket science.

Staff were really friendly and professional. Lovely location. Food in restaurant was good and excellent breakfast.

Bed was comfortable, complimentary tea + biscuits,
body wash in the shower. Nice area, close to city centre,
free parking. Staff was very friendly, allowed late check
out and sorted our issue with non working key card immediately.
Very good budget hotel to stay over while making trips around central Scotland.
really appreciated the effort to be more environmentally friendly!
Couple things bothered me, but nothing major.
The whole furnishing is bit outdated, scuffed, stained.
The bathroom is creaking whenever you sit on the toilet,
more importantly, there is no toilet brush.
The windows in the room cannot be opened fully, only small
gap.
There are no USB sockets so do not forget to take your plugs!
