Stay was nice and weather perfect. Condo needs some updating such as new mattresses in both guest rooms. Couch upstairs is pretty shot. The deck and furniture need a power washing.

We've stayed at a lot of properties in our life and they all have pros and cons. Some of the cons on this property need addressed. We tend to cook meals when away and eat out a few times. It always seems like rental properties assume no one cooks at the property-lol. The cookware was pretty rough, unless you enjoy badly peeling teflon in your food you should bring a pan or two. The owners should buy a $300 set of METAL cookware and if someone steals a pan, keep the $500 deposit. That's a win. Glassware: Buy some 20 oz glassware. There's like 8 glasses total. Everything else is a tiny juice glass or stemware. (or buy 20 oz picnic acrylic.. whatever). There is part of the sectional in the living room that is basically un-usable because the cushions have no cushion left... you just fall into the couch where the couch pulls out. But the biggest issue we had were the smells. We walked in and it smelled like moth balls and "something" ... like an oily smell - super weird and strong. Downstairs master bath was mildew heaven, BUT it wasn't visible anywhere. It shares a wall with the washer/dryer so I am not sure where the moisture was coming from but it permeated the downstairs. Maybe there was water damage at some point that wasn't addressed correctly, or they just need a dehumidifier going, but there's something up. Carpeting as noted in other reviews is MEH at this point. PROS: Layout, location over tubing hill, deck and beds! Fun fire pit!

We had a wonderful getaway in this cozy "treetop" home in Massanutten. It was our first visit to the area, but with a daughter about to go to college nearby, we hope to go back often! Thanks to the owners for great communication before, during, and after our stay. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, bathrooms, rooms, etc. plus board games, a gas firepit on the porch, info about local attractions and how to access the pool, etc. Our ten-year-old enjoyed the waterpark, pool, go-karts and minigolf. Our older teens enjoyed the cute coffee shop just outside the resort in McGaheyville, fruit picking at a nearby farm in Cross Keys, and the Green Valley Book Fair in Mt. Crawford. We took a quick drive to Shenandoah National Park to hike to South River Falls to finish off our stay. There is currently construction on the ski lift nearby the house, but I'm sure that'll be done and ready to go for winter guests who want to enjoy the slopes. This was a great fit for our family of six!

Overall, our stay was exceptional we highly recommend it. If you're looking for a comfortable, convenient, and well-maintained vacation rental in Massanutten, this is the place to be. Lots of activities to choose from the resort at and comfortable accommodations. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

We spent a lovely weekend (2 nights) in this cute 3BR/2B townhouse-style home. The kitchen and common space are on the main level with outside seating just off the kitchen. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, and the only item we found to be missing was a wine bottle opener, which we purchased and left behind for others to use. There’s a propane grill that was very clean and easy to use, and was in good working condition. The three bedrooms and two bathrooms are downstairs and there is a screened-in covered outside porch off the master bedroom. This area was a welcomed respite during the heat of the day and in the afternoon when the bugs came hunting. Oscillating fans were provided in each bedroom, which was a very nice touch. The beds were very comfortable as well. Hosts were extremely responsive with questions. Would definitely return.

On line pictures were taken several years ago. Much wear on the property since then. Kitchen and bath in master had nice renovations. Second bath needs updating (damaged floor tile, stained bathtub, water spot on ceiling). Rugs and upper deck need cleaning. Host was very specific in instructions to us and expressed a willingness to help with anything we might need. Great location. Enjoyed seeing deer.

We enjoyed our 2 nights here…would recommend

My 4 children and I had a great stay! The building is older but well kept, up to date, and very clean! It was magical in the sense that it sort of felt like we were up in the trees, living in a treehouse. The location is great! Very short drive to 2 trail heads for awesome hiking, fun activities at the Adventure Park, and the community pool has a lap and a diving board so both the kids and I were set! Cave Hill Farms Brewery is about 13 min away and must see! Even though the resort area was bustling the location of this property felt tucked away and was very quiet.

PERFECT location on a quiet street in Massanutten Resort. We were able to bring our dog and enjoyed walks on the quiet street mornings and evenings w him.
Our three boys had a blast at our first-ever visit to Massanutten Resort: we enjoyed the waterpark, zip line, go-karts/bumper cars, putt-putt and explored (but didn’t have a chance to use) the resort recreation centers with pools, basketball, arcades and pool tables. So much to do - we were never bored.
Returning to the house for lunch and back out again was easy to access! We went to a couple of local restaurants and enjoyed two escape room adventures, too!
The home was perfect for our group: the private deck off the master bedroom was great for getting away from the noise of boys playing VR video games in the main-level living-room ;-)
My boys loved the bunkbeds with the trundle bed that rolled out - instead of spreading out into the two other rooms, they all piled on top of each other in the bunks (lol) - 17, 13, and 8 y/o’s - they’re already asking to go back again!
We have enjoyed the large kitchen and made many meals, sitting down at the large dining room table (which we also used for playing some of the many board games provided in the home!)
We stocked the fridge as soon as we arrived- full!
The coffee pot, oven and stove got the most use with our group.
Only “complaint”: The frying pans could use an update, but I’m spoiled with my nice cookware at home (will likely bring a good frying pan next time)

My family and I had a great time for our weekend getaway. Great location and amazing views! Very quiet neighborhood and so peaceful, especially at night. The house was very neat and clean and beautiful just like the pictures. Mary was a great host! She was very communicative before and during our stay. We enjoyed this trip at this home away from home. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here over our spring break. My boys loved it here and want to come back. They loved the video game. We played monopoly together. The space was perfect for us. We spent most days in Shenandoah National park and one day at the water park. My boys want to come back again soon. When I had questions Mary was very quick to respond back and always super helpful. This is a wonderful place.

He’s location and clean, but. Little dated

Nice location! If you’re a light sleeper, the massanutten crew (snow machines and vehicles) preparing the slopes for the mornings
work in the middle of the night and it’s noisy. But, the beauty is you are close to the slopes! Nice stay. Appreciated our time there.

The pictures are accurate as to what to expect. It was very clean and our family of 5 had plenty of room to enjoy our stay.

My family and I made a trip to the Shenandoah valley for business and vacation, and we had a wonderful stay at Tree Top. Mary was great to communicate with, and the place is in such a beautiful spot near and overlooking the ski resort. There are so many peaceful and scenic places to walk. When you step in the door you find it well appointed and tastefully decorated so as to make you feel relaxed and at home!
The upstairs is very well laid out with lots of space for making and enjoying meals, and the living room large with lots of windows to enjoy family time and chill. The downstairs is perfect with plenty of beds and two full bathrooms! (a must have with a large family).
The kids thought the Atari arcade was so cool, and we loved seeing all of the friendly deer.
Having such a roomy and comfy place to stay for two weeks really impacted our trip, and made my wife and kids so much happier; especially during the business part of our stay.
Thanks Mary!

The set up worked so well for our families quick ski trip to Massanutten. Plenty of space to relax and very clean when we arrived.

Loved the house! Had everything we need to settle in right away. Great location, great views. Loved the fireplace, firepit, arcade games, etc. Thanks Mary!

I can't emphasize enough how great it is to be able to spend the work week in an actual house rather than a hotel. From the second I walked in I felt at home. The condo is very clean, there is an abundance of kitchen tools, and plenty of towels. As someone who travels for work weekly, this unit was perfect.
4.8
The condo is in great shape and very comfortable.. Beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. The owner/manager is easily accessible by text.

This cozy welcoming home is halfway between two sides of our family. It has become a new tradition for the seven of us to "meet halfway" for a mountain getaway and we love this house!
The kitchen is well stocked and roomy enough for us to cook together as a family. There is plenty of seating for movie nights and we look forward to coffee by the fireplace watching the sunrise across the treetops.
Absolutely will stay here again!

We were here for a wedding in Luray. We have family in the area but it was a 40 minute drive to get back and forth where we needed to be. Overall, I was pleased with the property. The beds are so comfortable and was the best 3 nights sleep I've had in a long time. We had family game night with the games provided. Waking up to deer right out side every morning was a treat. The firepit was a hit and we all enjoyed smores while sitting out on the deck. There were a couple issues we encountered and the host got back to us promptly and was taken care of. My only fear was driving up and down the mountains in the dark.

Great property with great view. Seen a lot of deer and wildlife right off the back deck. Would stay again.

This is our third time staying at this exact property and it is always perfect for our family! It has everything you need as well as great location for JMU football games! We look forward to staying here again in the future!

We enjoy going to this lovely mountain home for fall break, now 2 years in a row. Hoping to be back in winter to catch snowfall maybe too!
4.8
We had a great stay, the amenities were great and a nice location.
4.8
The location cannot be beat as it is a super short drive to Base Camp and the adventure park. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay for our fall family getaway to the mountains. Our 2 year old felt right at home with the toys and bunk bed, and we enjoyed the fire pit on the deck after she went to bed. The primary bedroom was very comfortable!
4.8
Real nice unit. Great location. Enjoyed mountain biking trails and waterpark. Kids had great time!

Owner was worried about previous guests who caused a mess, however the place looked fantastic when we got there. We spoke with Mary and she was extremely sweet and helpful. They had just installed a new King bed the day of our arrival. The place was cleaned very thoroughly and exceded our expectations. Very good location on the resort close to many other dining and attractions. The asteroids gaming console was a huge benefit, even though I could not beat the high score. Overall would 10/10 recommend

As always, we thoroughly enjoyed our little peace of Heaven in Massanutten. Mary and Chris are the perfect hosts and make sure we have everything that we need and the accommodations are perfect. We have stayed with them several times previously and the home never disappoints. Can’t wait for our next getaway there.

We were looking for a little weekend get away and we found the perfect place! Highly recommend this pet friendly property! Hosts provided swift communication to questions we had.
We were able to enjoy the gorgeous mountain area from the two porches, one of which is screened in for pets. Will definitely keep this location in mind for the future!
