Excellent location to visit the coastal area and fabulous food. Staff were very helpful too.

This was a great base for exploring North Norfolk.
The breakfast staff and waitress on Sunday were both really lovely as was our food throughout.
The bed was comfortable.
Our stay in the cottage had been a birthday treat for myself but it ended up feeling somewhat disappointing.
When considering how the images of the establishment are conveyed online, it would not be a stretch to assume the cottage would be of the same standard, given the £250 a night price tag attached.
This was unfortunately not the case, instead we were left somewhat underwhelmed, and quite frustrated with the lack of facilities and general condition of the cottage.
For example, there are stains all over the sofa, protruding staples on the staircase and a couple of sad looking teabags to utilise for our 2 night stay. This came as a surprise when compared to the rest of the beautifully furnished rooms here, with lots of nice little touches, soft furnishings and a coffee machines to utilise.
Instead we had none of this and could not use what was present as the cooking facilities had no instructions for use of the hob. There was no capacity for using the smart TV due to the lack of wifi and not a coffee machine in sight.
Alongside this the lack of welcome, information and no one to speak with about this, nor a response via the chat when we raised concerns, has left an overall mood of disappointment, when we’d hoped for a more luxurious experience.
I know this is a little cottage but I think greater transparency regarding the decor and conditions would have helped me to have booked an alternative, given I’d hoped for the best and was left wanting.
It’s definitely not a £250 a night facility and I would not recommend the cottage which is a shame when there is a wealth of potential for the space.

Outstanding! From the road it looks like any other building but once you get round the back it opens up and is an absolute gem! Finished to the highest possible standard for this type of accommodation with some truly lovely features. The rooms are quite small (I stayed in Lavender) but beautifully appointed. The restaurant is also outstanding with an incredible wine selection for such a small property and te food was exceptional.
Can't fault a thing! I was just gutted the chef called in sick that morning and I missed my full English but these things happen and the staff rallied as best they could to get people fed while they waited for someone to come and cover.

Location perfect for our visit, breakfast very good.
We arrived at around 6.00pm on a cold evening to find the room was very cold. The heating could have been on prior to our arrival. We requested it be adjusted to get some heat. The thermostats in the room were operated at reception so during the night it became too warm so had to open the windows!
There was a stove in the dining area but it wasn't lit. We had an evening meal on our second night at another venue as they had a fire going so a more cosy atmosphere.

Very friendly, obliging staff. Considering the excellent value for money, the rooms were very well presented with all the necessary facilities provided in pristine condition.

Our room was fairly newly built and had all necessary conveniences except a light over the mirror. It was rather small with a standard double bed, but was warm and comfortable. The bar/restaurant was not particularly atmospheric but ok and the kitchen was on full view from parts of the bar, so obvious confidence in their hygiene. The food was of good quality with a reasonable range, especially as out of season when we stayed. The staff were attentive and friendly.
Some fresh friuit at breakfast would be good.

Staff fantastic especially Gary and Coreen our talkative and friendly breakfast hosts !
Nothing we didn’t like .

The room was very tiny, as was the en suite. It was very modern, but hard cold floor. We would have preferred carpet, or even a rug. Lovely and clean though, and there was a very large double bed which was very comfortable. At £160 per night it was quite expensive. The staff were very friendly, especially the chef, who catered well for me being coeliac and therefore having to be gluten-free.
Carpet or rug! Room and en suite were very small.

We always stay at here when we come to north Norfolk. We have the suite, which has a mezzanine space with the additional bed we need. Perfect!
The food is good. The service is good and the beds are comfy and the bathroom is nice and modern with a great shower

Great breakfast. Hot and tasty. Location was good as a base for our visits to a variety of coastal and inland attractions.
Didn’t like the accommodation being on 2 levels.

Loved the outdoor private terrace. Rooms are really clean and furnished to a high level.
The attention to detail was great and my pooch was very looked after (water bowl and blanket at dinner, sausage at breakfast!).
Staff were amazing, especially Dave. Really welcoming and attentive.
We stay once a month at a Norfolk hotel and this was by far the best we’ve been to.

I had read a poor review of this place but mainly good ones. Gotta say, from my experience, the poor review should be completely ignored. The greeting was excellent, staff superb, room was actually one of the best I’ve stayed in (and I stay all over the UK almost every weekend for work) and the food and drink was lovely too. Genuinely can’t fault this place (and I normally can find a little thing here or there). Superb!
Absolutely nothing. It was excellent.

On the small side had to ask for toast as it didn’t come with the breakfast but overall very tasty and well presented.
Booked as 2x adults and 1 child ,room could have been bigger as they had to put in a z bed for our 6’ son to sleep on not ideal for price paid for room

The staff were extremely cheerful, friendly and helpful. The hotel has been tastefully and thoughtfully renovated. Would love to come back when it warms up to enjoy the outdoor areas. We will definitely be recommending the Ostrich Inn
No gluten free bread at breakfast

The staff was super friendly and welcomed our puppy in such a kind way.
The bedroom with the little terrace was really nice.
The shower was amazing.
The bed was a bit soft (if you are someone that prefers slightly harder mattress).
It's a shame that all dog friendly rooms only have smaller double beds (no king size).
